The Readers Cafe – Library Club Organized “BIBLIOMANIA” (The Game Of Puzzles and Knowledge on Current Affairs)

Department of Management at I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized a Library Club activity “BIBLIOMANIA” for MBA (2019-21) students on 13th February, 2020.
The activity was conducted by the coordinator of Library Club Prof. Mansi Singh. The purpose of the activity was to evaluate and enhance the current affairs related knowledge with analytic skills of students with respect to the parameters of remembrance and accuracy.
There were 3 rounds in the activity. In the first round, 13 teams participated and each team consisted of 2 students. Further 6 teams were promoted to the second round.
The second round was a Logical reasoning round. In this round, logical questions were asked from each member of top 6 teams individually, where each participant tried to solve reasoning with different logic.
There were 3 teams who were selected for the final round. The Final Round was DUMB CHARADES (Dumb Charades is a word guessing name and can add lots of excitement and fun. Dumb Charades involves explaining the ‘phrases’ or the name of ‘a movie’, ‘a book’, etc. through acting. A person is not allowed to talk and is required to act out the phrase/name by using different gestures, facial expressions, and body language). All the participants have performed their best to compete and win. It was really a tough competition among all.
Winners of the event were Ananya Srivastava & Ayushi, Kirti & Shantanu and Abha & Ananya kulshrestha for Ist, IInd &IIIrd positions respectively.
The activity was concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony by Honorable Judge Dr. Anusha Agarwal. The winners were felicitated with certificates and amazing prizes.
The activity was a great success where students enjoyed a lot along with fun and learning.
MCA Students participation in Webinar Session on “Your journey to SAP S/4 HANA – The Accenture Way”

MCA IV Semester Students attended webinar session on “Your journey to SAP S/4 HANA – The Accenture Way” on 12th February 2020 at Institute premises.
Objective of this webinar session was to understand requirement of companies in this digital era for development of rapid business application and enhancement of processing capabilities. For this, there is need to understand and enable SAP which is shifting its focus from "Run Simple" to "Run Live"-enterprises must run real-time businesses to succeed in the digital revolution. Session Speaker Ms Geeta Kanase, Senior Manager – Intelligent Platform Services – SAP S/4 HANA Center of Excellence, Accenture focused on evolution on SAP, SAP S/4HANA innovations and the dynamics associated with defining the roadmap for this journey. Further, MsKanase discussed on Current state of S/4 HANA, Accenture in New IT space etc. Speaker has answered the queries asked during the end of the session.
It was nice learning experience to all participants.
Workshop on Sales and Distribution Management organized

Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad organized a workshop for the marketing specialization students
to make students more familiar with the practical knowledge of fieldwork and clearing out their queries regarding various profiles of marketing. The workshop was addressed by Prof. Durba Roy. She started with asking the experience of students during their summer internship and fetching out their basic issues out of it when it comes to sales. Students highlighted issues like Field Work, Target, Pressure, Incentives and Rejection Handling.
Ma’am further elaborated on the reason and solution behind these raised concerns. She explained how important it is to first understand the organizational culture and other budgetary and process-related factors. She moved on to explain 4 theories of Selling, namely ADIDAS, Right Set of Circumstance Theory, Buying Formula and Behavioural Equation Theory.
After explaining these theories in detail, ma’am made students understand how important is to identify the need of the customer and fulfilling the demands. And explained the formal and informal structure of the sales organization. The activity was also conducted by her by giving real-time situations to the students and asked them to identify the primary steps required for the sales-process in various industries.
The workshop was summed up on the topic of the Model of Distribution Channels.
Zenith - Soft Skills Club “Skill Bonanza”

I.T.S - Mohan Nagar, Department of Management conducted Zenith - Soft Skills Club activity, titled “Skill Bonanza” for MBA first year (2019-21) on 11th February 2020.
The objective of the activity was to assess the Logical Approach of the candidates and also to build Confidence among the candidates through various rounds.
Ten teams were shortlisted from first-round "Online Aptitude Test" for the Second Round, in which a Quiz was conducted based on Current Affairs and Corporate Culture. Finalists were promoted to last round i.e. "Video Perception" in which candidates were to describe and analyze the clipping of a video shown to them.
Winners were awarded Certificates and Gifts by Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director (Management); Dr. Anusha Aggarwal, MBA Chairperson; Faculty Judge, Dr. Dey, and Faculty Club Coordinator, Prof Shilpi Vaish.
Students have always shown their excitement for Soft Skills Club activity and also, they learn to be self-motivated and feel confident while performing.
‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme

Department of Management, I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad conducted ‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme on the 9th of February, 2020
The day started with the first Prabhanshu and Shivangi conducting a session of general knowledge. Different facts regarding famous personalities and geographical features were presented before the students. Enthusiastic responses were observed from the learners vis-à-vis questions like states and their capitals. The children were made to repeat the unfamiliar parts so that they could remember them.
The next part of the day’s classes related to grammar – specifically Parts of Speech. Sukriti came forward to explain the major parts of speech such as nouns, pronouns, verbs, etc. Suitable examples were offered in each case to illustrate the respective points.
A quiz was then conducted to assess the GK quotient of the kids. Those who answered the major questions satisfactorily were presented with I.T.S Wallets.
Soon after the day’s activities drew to a close with the distribution of packets of Bikano Namkeen and Aloo Bhujia.
Workshop on “Analysing Balance Sheet in just 30 Seconds”organised

Department of Management at I.T.S – Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized a workshop on “Analyzing any Balance Sheet in 30 Seconds” on 7th February 2020
for PGDM & MBA students (Finance specialization) in which the speaker was Dr. S. Chandrashekher, a banker by profession and has a 27 years of experience in different banks. He has analyzed more than 1500 financial statements of SMEs.
First of all we would get to know about many financial terms which is very useful or helpful for us. Financial terms such as credit appraisal, Foreign banks, GIGO, Amortization , Dupont Model, Assets, Liability, difference between profit and profitability. Then we would get to know about the financial instruments such as debentures, bonds, mutual funds, equities, deposits etc. He also gave us the knowledge of applying the Asset- liability Management concept. It is that concept in which the risk faced by a bank due to a mismatch between assets and liabilities either due to liquidity or changes in interest rates.
Then we would get to know about analyzing the balance sheet in 30 seconds in which there are five steps that we have to follow to i.e.
a) Prepare mini balance sheet
b) Apply ALM
c) Identify diversion
d) Convert diversion into percentage
e) Check whether Diversion< 20% for Joint Stock Company and, Diversion< 35% for sole proprietor, Partnership and himdu undivided family.
It means that if the condition of diversion is this then the balance sheet of a company is good otherwise it is bad.
Diversion means moving short term liability into short term asset and long term liability into long term asset.
Then we get to know about the tangible net worth i.e. “Net worth – Intangible assets”
At last the session was ended with the motivational speech of Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director
Management in which she address about the finance and its importance.

Dr. Garima Srivastav from Department of Management, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad attended two days workshop organized by Indian Institute of Management -Lucknow (IIM-L)
along with CMEE & North American Society for Marketing Education in India on "Conducting and Publishing High Quality Research in Empirical Modeling for Marketing Strategy" by Dr. Venkatesh'Venky' Shankar (Mays Business School, Texas A & M University) on Thursday and Friday, 6th & 7th February 2020.
Dr.Garima Srivastav got opportunity to Design and present her Research Proposal on “FOMO:A Shift in Behavioural Trend”. It was the great opportunity to get a chance for research proposal presentation and to get it evaluated byDr. Shankar himself. The sights of the workshop laid emphasis on the issues like –Framing Research ideas and question, Methodological skills, Casual Modelling, Big Data Machine learning and AI, Structural Modelling, Future marketing Models.
The workshop fostered high quality research in Empirical Modeling, Strong Research Ideas, Issues and question, Methodological Skills, crafting the paper and revising the paper, participants working on proposal, analysis of proposal and strategy formulation for the participants. There were total of 36 participants from across the Length and breadth of the country including IIM Kozikhode, PDPU-Ghandhinagar ,RGPIT Amethi, IIM-Lucknow.

in Dr. Abdul Kalam Arts and Cultural Fest from 7th -8th February 2020. The event was comprised of various activities like Business Plan, Knowledge Quiz, Rangoli, Cartooning, T-Shirt Painting, Coding, Debate, etc. Students from different Technical Institutes associated with AKTU have participated. Our MCA Technocrats Neelam, Nikita, Avni Sharma, Rupal Gupta participated in creative activities Rangoli, Cartooning and T-Shirt Painting. It was a good learning experience for our MCA Students.

Tech Next Club, Department of IT, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organized session on "Revolutionary Enterprise Wireless Solution – Wi-Fi 6 Powered by Huawei 5G” through Video Conferencing for MCA Students on Thursday, 6th February 2020 at Institute premises.
Objective of this Webinar was to provide detail insight of WiFi 6 and How Wi-Fi 6 can change enterprise and India Wi-Fi market insight. In this webinar,Mr Dileep Nadimpalli , Research Manager, Storage, IDC India discussed about Wifi 6 and how it is different with Wifi 5. He has also focused impact of Networks due to adoption of emerging technologies. Further, Mr. Hitesh Chhabra, Head – Enterprise IP Network Solution revealed the answers to all the questions asked during the session and shared valuable tips onWifi 6 and how it reduces the Network Latency.
It was overall good learning experience for all the participants.
Finvest Club Organized Activity on 6th February, 2020 ON “Union Budget Analysis 2020

Finvest Club of Department of Management at I.T.S – Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized an activity on “UNION BUDGET ANALYSIS 2020”.
The activity started with the motivational speech of Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director Management in her address she talked about that how much the knowledge of budget is important for an individual, changes in the new budget as compared to previous budget.
For this activity teams from both the programs i.e. PGDM & MBA were nominated. Total 11 teams were there and each team had to give the presentation on a sector i.e. infrastructure, education , banking and financial sector, tourism, startup & entrepreneurship, defence, aviation, agriculture, health, manufacturing etc. which is given to them by the club and the team consist of minimum 2 and maximum 4 members. The time allocated to each team is 10 minutes (8 min. for presentation & 2 min. for Q&A). At last the overview of the budget is given by the club members of both the programs.
At the end of the activity students were awarded for their performance with the prizes and certificates in which 3 teams would get the prize and certificate and other 8 teams would get the certificates only.
The prize winners at first position are from PGDM, Mr. Rishabh Kumar, Aditya Tripathi, Ratnesh Asthana, Second position hold by MBA students Aabha jyoti, Ananya, Shivani and third position by again PGDM students Nikita Sarkar, Shashank, Raunak Sawariya.
Industrial visit of MCA students to JNtech Networks, Sector-2 , Noida

Institution Innovation Council at Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad
organized an industrial visit for MCA IV Semester students to JNtech Networks, Sector-2 ,Noida on 4th February, 2020 at 10:00 AM onwards. 43 Students of MCA-IV semester with Prof. Varun Arora and Mr. Balmukund Singh visited JNtech Networks. All members were escorted by Mr. Anand at JNtech Networks. All the students were taken for facility tour to the company. A session on Networking was also taken by Mr. Jitendra Jaiswal. Following points were discussed in the session.

Faculty attended Budget Viewing Session at PHDCCI, New Delhi

Dr. Rajeev Johari attended the session on budget overview 2020-21 called by PHDCCI at their premises, where distinguished scholars and business stalwartsdelivered their expert opinion on the subjectfollowed by collective viewing of the budget telecast and discussions on it.
Mr. D. K Aggarwal, President, PHD Chamber gave his welcome remarks focusing on health sector of economy as well as on tax reforms as the need of the current economy of the country. There were varied experts from taxation, academia, think tank, industries, media and banking sector who interacted over the opening remarks.
Mr. Gopal Krishna Agarwal National spokesperson of BJP expressed that to reach the summit of economy, we need to focus on investing for asset and make our country an export hub by focusing on every district and the product characterizing it.He specifically mentioned that we are earmarking capital of 5 trillion in next five years reflecting upon the confidence of the current Indian government.
Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, Senior President, PHD Chamber highlighted his views on social sector and infrastructure sector of the economy.Mr. Pradeep Multani, Vice President, PHD Chamber and Mr. Rajeev Talwar and other experts commented on the health sector and corporate taxation.Mr. Lalit Khaitan, Chairman, Economic Affairs Committee, PHD Chamber expressed his views on the working system of cyber security and artificial intelligence as the essential part of our economy.
These were followed by Pin pointed deliberations by Dr. Rajat Kathuria, Director and CE of ICRIER and Dr. Subhash Chandra Pandey, former Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of commerce and Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Ministry of Textiles on the subject of start ups and small scale enterprises towards the boosting up of economy. Dr. Rajat focused on the subject of international and Indirect tax structure. Prof. Rajesh Chadha, Program Director- National Resources, Brooking Institution in his pinpointed deliberation expressed thoughts on institutional growth and foreign investments.
Mr. Rajeev Talwar,Chairman of PHDCCI concluded the session by asserting that we need be multi dimensional while approaching the policies.
Overall the message of the budget speech by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman touches upon the three pillars like aspiration economy, economic development, and caring society for women, enterprises, startup, housing, culture, tourism, infra, taxation and health sector and skill education that should be invested with young minds and engineers.
SPOC Felicitation Workshop at IIT Kanpur Outreach Centre, Noida

Dr Vidushi Singh had attended SPOC Felicitation Workshop conducted by IIT Kanpur at Outreach Centre, Noida on 1st February 2020
The objective of the workshop was to felicitate SPOCs of those colleges in which students were top scorer, and participation of the faculty and students was good in a number. Ms. Bharti, Program Manager, NPTEL, Ms. Lalty Dutta, Project Manager, NPTEL, IIT Kanpuralong with SPOC’s of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, and North-East states were present.
Before the beginning of the session, Ms. Bharthiwarmly welcomed the gathering. Ms. Bharti briefed about details of NPTEL, how and when it has been formed before it was planned to just deliver video lectures, later on, it has been shifted to online certification. He also briefed about achievements of NPTEL to date like 30,000+ video hours, 371+million NPTEL website view, 271+ million youtube views, etc. She also shared the statistics of a number of students and faculty participation from the initial years to December 2019. He also communicated how these courses helped students in their placements.
Ms. Bharti also informed that like the previous semester this semester also 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks NPTEL courses will be considered as ½ FDP of one week, Full FDP of one week and 1 ½ FDP of one week respectively.
At the end, SPOC of various colleges were felicitated by National Coordinator, NPTEL, IIT Kanpur, Ms. Bharti, Program Manager, NPTEL and Ms. Lalty Dutta, Project Manager, NPTEL, IIT Kanpur.
It was totally an interactive session where SPOC from various universities and institutes of repute discussed about the various courses provided by NPTEL and also gave their suggestions to make these courses more effective for the masses.
Overall it was a good learning experience about the operation of NPTEL online courses.

onTuesday, 28th January 2020 at Institute premises.
Objective of this Webinar was to provide complete understanding of Cyber Security and Digital Transformation Security. In this Session, Mr. Puneet Mehta, Cyber Technologist and Principal Advisor Service, SDG discussed on Cyber Security, Identity & Data as key, regulations in Cyber defense, Rise of attackers threats etc. Mr. Mehta has also focused on Online Courses related to Cyber Security and universities who are dedicated doing research on this domain.
Session Speaker has also answered the questions after the completion of session.
It was overall good learning experience for all the participants.
