Staff Development Programme on the topic “Understanding Workplace (Managing Change & Stress)"
I.T.S - Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized a “Staff Development Programme" (SDP) on 30th September 2022
on the topic “Understanding Workplace (Managing Change & Stress)”. The resource persons for this SDP were Dr. Sanjeev Tandon and Prof. Shilpi Rana. The presence of Dr. V.N. Bajpai (Director) had added grace to the occasion. He spoke about the significance of the SDP and the relevance of the topic in the present work- life scenario. He stressed on the fact that change is an inevitable aspect of any academic institution. He highlighted the importance of team and individual in the changing environment.
The SDP started with an activity being administered to the participants by Prof. Shilpi. It was an exercise to make the participants comfortable and to enable them to gel with one another. The
discussion on change and the strategies adopted by the participants to mitigate that change was introduced by Dr. Sanjeev.
Participants shared their incidences of change and how that change induced stress in their life. Various causes of stress at the workplace and how to deal with that stress was discussed. Levels of stresses were discussed and the stress management techniques were elaborated by the resource persons.
The SDP ended with a meditation technique, where participants were instructed to close their eyes and imagine good things (location or place or incidence). Breathing exercises were subsequently administered to calm their minds. A video of “The Steps in Stress Management Process” was also shown to the group.
Overall, it was a learning session for the participants, where they could derive and gain solace with participative knowledge sharing on this burning topic. The SDP was attended by participants from various departments of the institute.

FDP on the topic "Building Institutional Resilience through Team Building and Leadership”
Institute of Technology & Science, Ghaziabad organised a Faculty Development Program on the topic "Building Institutional Resilience through Team Building and Leadership” for faculty members of management department on Thursday, 15th September, 2022 in the campus.
Prof. Shilpi Rana, Prof. Shikha Aggarwal and Prof. Smita Barik were the resource persons. The objective of the activity was to enhance the spirit of team building & leadership among the faculty colleagues. It also develops positive perception towards other members in the group. This activity mainly focused on coordination, improving analyzing skill and to enable quick decision making within a group.
The FDP was conducted in 3 different rounds and all the rounds were based on fun games. The program was initiated with the ice breaking activity namely "Symon Says". The next round of activity was "Cape Exercise" in which all the participants were asked to write the positive things about each faculty on the chart paper worn by the faculty participants. In the last round, participants were divided into teams of two in which one participant was to be blind folded and another team member played the role of instructor. The winners of the last round were awarded with gifts.
The program was enriching for the participants and was very much appreciated by all.

Faculty Development Programe on the topic “Analytics for decision making”
Understanding the importance of Analytics in today’s scenario, I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad has organised a Faculty Development Programe on the topic “Analytics for Business Decision” on 19th and 26thAugust 22. The resource person for the same was Dr. Ashish K Jha. In this FDP total of 30 faculty members have participated.
On the first day of FDP, Dr. V N Bajpai (Director) has inaugurated the event and he said that in today’s scenario business decisions are being taken on the basis of analytics. He also emphasise on the importance of analytics in the different area of management.
Dr. Ashish Jha has shared and shown how decisions related to various methods of pricing are being taken in the industry. He trained the participants on Price skimming, Linear pricing and other types of pricing.
On second day of FDP (26th August) the trainer has taken the session on the topic “Customer Life time Value”. He discussed, how to calculate the customer lifetime value in a company. During the session he has taken the case of Netflix to calculate the CLTV.
Overall the session was fruitful for the participants.

FDP on Data Analysis using SPSS and AMOS
The I.T.S School of Management & Institute of Technology and Science, Ghaziabad inaugurated 5 - Days FDP on ‘Research Methods and Data Analysis using SPSS and AMOS in collaboration with QTanalyticsTM, New Delhi and SPSS South Asia on 20th June, 2022 at Mohan Nagar Campus.
The eminent resource persons for FDP Prof. (Dr.) Prabhat Mittal, Professor – Commerce and Management, Saraswati College (E), University of Delhi and Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Gupta, Director, Centre of Management Studies, Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi graced the inaugural session.
Shri Surinder Sood, Director (PR), I.T.S - The Education Group, highlighted on the pitfalls of qualitative research. He explained that research in social sciences involves the consideration of a multitude of factors and elaborated on the evolution of technology in Data Sciences.
The session began with the welcome address by the Director Prof. (Dr) Timira Shukla, who emphasized on the significance of data analysis for interdisciplinary research. Dr Anusha Agarwal, Convener, provided an overview of the programme along with the deliverables.
Over the five days sessions were held delving into different elements of the FDP, which included scaling and sampling techniques; univariate and bivariate analysis; parametric and non-parametric tests; tests of hypotheses; ANOVA and MANOVA; correlation and regression; multiple and logistical regression analysis; and structural equation modeling.
On the final day group presentations were made by all the participants. Following this the valedictory session was held in the presence of Director Prof. (Dr) Timira Shukla, Convener Dr. Anusha Agarwal and resource person Prof. (Dr.) Prabhat Mittal.
The Director in her address in the valedictory session urged all the participants to upskill and write research papers. She lauded Dr. Prabhat for the training in each aspect of research methods and techniques and tools data analysis. The individual attention to each and every participant for learning and practice sessions deserves special mention.
Dr. Prabhat Mittal quipped that it was not a valedictory session, but rather the inauguration of a new resolve towards research. Thanking the Director, he stated that there were many takeaways from the programme, and expressed appreciation for the patient learning from the side of the participants. He also went on to provide tips for successful publication of papers in leading journals.
The 5 – days FDP ended with distribution of certificate.

Staff Development Program on “Advanced Excel”
Department of Management at I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organized the Staff Development Program on “Advanced Excel” for the staff members on 24th June 2022.
Advanced Excel Functions refers to the features and functions of Microsoft Excel, which help the user to perform complex calculations, perform data analysis, and much more. The objective of this SDP was to improve the day-to-day efficiency of Staff personnel by making them well versed in various operations of MS Excel.
The speakers of the session were Prof. Sunil Upadhyay and Prof. Mansi Singh, who trained the staff on using advanced excel to bring creativity that leads to innovative ideas and solutions. They used various advanced excel tools like Conditional Formatting, Index, Pivot table, VLOOKUP, and HLOOKUP for effective learning. They emphasized on lookup and pivot table function of excel for day-to-day operational activities. A total of 20 staff members participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the session.
The staff development program was highly interactive, and participants were enthusiastically involved throughout the training.
The session turned out to be very informative for the participants.

FDP on “Methodology for Advanced Research and Quality Publication” attended Management faculty
Prof. Shikha Aggarwal participated and completed One week Faculty Development Programme on “Methodology for Advanced Research and Quality Publication” organized by Birla School of Commerce, Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar during March 21 – 25, 2022.
The FDP had various eminent resource person through the span of entire week who talked about various aspects of advanced research methodology. Content analysis, hypothesis testing, pre-requisites for High quality publications, tools and techniques including Hands- on session on SPSS and R studio were some major topics taught during the program. The session during the week were well- planned and the content was also extremely useful for enhancing better research prospects. Some of the speakers included Prof. (Dr.) Ravi Kumar Jain, Professor &Director, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Hyderabad; Dr. Suvendu Kumar Pratihari, Asst. Professor, Birla Global University; Prof. (Dr.) Uma Sankar Mishra, Professor and Head Central University of Rajasthan; Dr. Siddharth Misra , Asst. Management faculty attended a one- week FDP organized by IIT- Guwahati
Prof. Parul Gupta, Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, attended a 6- day Virtual FDP on ‘Mentoring Pedagogy and Teaching for Higher Education’ from 19thJuly – 24thJuly 2021,
organized by the E&ICT Academyof IIT- Guwahati. The online FDP witnessed participation from 50 selected Faculty members from across India. The resource person of the program was Mr. Anjan Chowdhury, Managing Director- Indian Skill Academy and Empanelled member of E&ICT Academy, IIT- Guwahati. The details of the topics covered are mentioned below-

The resource person being a seasoned trainer, brought his valuable knowledge and experience to the discussion and created immense learning during the entire program.

Management faculty attended ATALFDP on "Quantification of Human Resource with HR Analytics’"
Prof. Ritu Saxena, Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, attended a 5- day Virtual AICTET Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy
Online Elementary FDP on “Quantification of Human Resource with HR Analytics’" from 19.07.2021 to 23.07.2021 at DATTA MEGHE INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES.
The online FDP witnessed participation from 80 selected Faculty members from across India. The resource person of the program was Ms. Megha Dixit, DGM – HR & Training, Cancer Hospital, Bombay & Dr. Rahul Pratap Singh Kaurav , Assistant Professor, Prestige institute of Management, Gwalior. The details of the topics covered were Business Analytics-The HR Perspective, Business Understanding for HR Initiatives , HR Balance Score Card, Data Analytics with tool pak , HR Analytics- Tableau .
There were daily assignments given by the organizing Institutions. At the end of the training program one test was also conducted, in which it was mandatory to achieve minimum 60% marks. This was a great learning experience for me while attending all the sessions and it would definitely help me in my teaching-learning process in the field of HR analytics.
It was highly interactive with practical applications of analytics and Tableau. The resource person being a HR Analytics trainer, brought his valuable knowledge and applications to the discussion and created deep learning during the entire FDPprogram.
