The formal inauguration and opening ceremony for the MCA (2024-2026) batch was scheduled on 31st August 2024. Opening & Inaugural ceremony was formally inaugurated with the lamp lighting by Director-PR, I.T.S-The Education Group, Sh. Surinder Sood, Sh. Prasenjit Mukherjee CIO & CDO at JWIL Infra Ltd.(Jindal Water Infra),Dr. Krishnamurthy Rajesh Global Director & Head- Enterprise IT, Grey Orange, Sh. Rajneesh Chadha, Co-Founder AIWIZE LABS Pvt. Ltd.,Director(IT&UG), Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey, Vice Principal, Prof. Nancy Sharma, Director-Management, Dr. Ajay Kumar and Coordinator-MCA, Prof. Smita Kansal.While addressing the students, Director of IT & UG, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey warmly welcomed the 28th Batch of MCA. He highlighted the department's commitment to providing MCA students with opportunities to work on industry projects throughout their studies. Dr. Pandey also expressed pride in the Department of IT's tradition of inviting esteemed speakers from both industry and academia to engage with the new members of the MCA program during their orientation.Sh. The Department of IT held a Five days, instructor-led boot camp on "Python and its Applications" for MCA-1 Semester students (Batch 2024-26) from 11th September, 2024 to 18th September, 2024.
The goal was to give students a hands-on learning experience and a strong base in Python programming. The boot camp covered Python basics like syntax, data structures, and libraries, helping students use these skills in real-world situations.At the start of the boot camp, it was announced that only students with at least 80% attendance and a minimum score of 60% on the final test would receive a certificate. At the end of the boot camp, a test was given, and students who met these requirements were awarded certificates of participation by ShapeMySkills.By the end of the boot camp, students were expected to be skilled in Python and ready to handle different programming tasks and projects. Students appreciated the hands-on approach, as the training was conducted in the lab with the instructor addressing their questions on the spot.This was a new and valuable experience for the MCA-1 Semester students.

The introduction workshop on the topic ‘Virtual lab for teaching, learning & assessment and future technology’ was organized by the Information Technology Department of Institute of technology and science Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad. Totally 72 students were enrolled for this workshop.The primary focus of the programme was to give theoretical exposure and practical knowledge using the Virtual labs online platform.This session was meant for the students of MCA:- Group 1 & 2 Departments of Computer Science. The session was highly fruitful for all the students as they got to know the concept, objectives,timelines, future developments as well as demonstration of the Virtual Labs. It provided valuable insights in Virtual lab concepts, and participants left with a good understanding of Virtual Labs . Moving forward, these workshops will be conducted in the future as well.

Department of MCA organized an industry visit for 28th Batch of MCA (2024-26) to New Generation Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Center, EDII, DST, Govt, of India and MSME Business Incubation Center at I.T.S, Engineering College, Greater Noida was also organized on 4th September and 9th September, 2024.
Students were accompanied by faculty members of Department of I.T including Prof. Puja Saurabh Saxena and Prof. Smita Kansal, Prof. Chanchal Prabha, Prof. Varun Arora and Prof. Vaibhav Bhatnagar.The visit started with a workshop on “Cloud Computing & CISCO Technology”. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Sudanshu from I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida. Students were also taken to the New Generation Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre, EDII, DST, Govt. of India and MSME Business Incubation Centre.Coordinator of Incubation Cell also took a session about start-up and how DST and MSME help students to become an entrepreneur. Students also visited some of the live projects which were developed by the students under DST and MSME. At the end of the visit Director, I.T.S Engineering College, congratulated all the students for attending the workshop and also briefed about the working and objective of New Gen Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Center and Incubation Center. Students were also addressed by Dr. S P Mishra, Advisor, I.T.S-The Education Group.

I.T.S Ghaziabad organized a session on ‘Corporate Expectations from Budding Managers’ by Mr. Sushil Aggarwal, Chairman of AVRO India Ltd. for the students of the MBA (2024-26) Batch on September 4, 2024, as a part of their Orientation Program.
Mr. Aggarwal shared a range of real-life experiences illustrating what corporations expect from managers. As a source of inspiration himself, he offered motivating examples from his own life, encouraging students to be self-driven. He highlighted how anyone, regardless of their background, can use their experiences to inspire others.
Engaging directly with students, Mr. Aggarwal addressed their concerns and provided solutions based on his experiences. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and attitude, which can bring optimism and lead to greater success. He stressed the need for students to develop specific qualities to navigate the challenges of the VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) world.
The session was rich with compelling anecdotes that imparted valuable life lessons to the students. It was highly interactive, with students actively participating and asking questions about future career opportunities and entrepreneurial ambitions.

An international guest talk was conducted on ‘Futuristic career opportunities’ on the second day of the orientation program. The resource person for the session, Mr. Louis Blais- Vice President-Business Development and Marketing College of Northern Canada was duly welcomed by Director I.T.S Ghaziabad Dr. VN Bajpai. Mr. Louis in his address, highlighted the various global career opportunities which the students must explore to achieve success in their professional journey. He explained that India is on a strong growth trajectory and if the youth is able to channel their potential, they can make the nation even stronger with their contribution. In his talk, Mr. Prakash shared the significance of Neuro- Linguistic Programming (NLP) for attaining success. He explained the effective ways of managing time and strategies needed to be involved in managing the time. He demonstrated various NLP tricks which could prove to be very effective techniques for releasing stress from the body and mind as a whole. He motivated the participants towards learning and integrating NLP knowledge into their life. Students enjoyed throughout the session, they participated, discussed their life goals with the speaker and showed enthusiasm to work towards achieving them.

Dr. Uma Gulati provided an overview of the orientation program, outlining the schedule and setting clear expectations for the students.

She encouraged the students to channelize their energy productively, fostering both personal and professional growth. Mr. Amitava Sinha highlighted the importance of teamwork, advocating for a “we, not I” approach. Maj. Gen. Pramod Saighal (Retd.) inspired students with his recounting of India’s rise to a prominent global position. The FDP was designed to introduce the fields of machine learning and deep learning covering the basic and advanced concepts along with hands-on sessions.On day-1 Dr. Anurag Singh from NIT, Delhi talked about the introduction to Research. He advised all the participants to have a goal in life and also contribute towards the research which will be beneficial for the society.On day-2, Dr. Divakar Yadav, IGNOU, Delhi discussed about the mathematics behind the classification algorithms for machine learning. He also talked about the advantages and disadvantages of various classification algorithms.On day-3, Dr. S N Rajan, IMSEC talked about the various classification techniques in which he discussed about the lazy learners and eager learners’ algorithmsOn day-4, Dr. Mrinal Pandey, MRU, Faridabad discussed about the working of CNN model and its algorithm which was followed by the hands-on sessions in the computer lab.On day-5, Dr. Rabins Porwal, CSJMU, Kanpur discussed about Simple Linear Regression and the working of this model. A NAAC Consultative Workshop on Binary Accreditation Framework -Northern Region was organized at Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Vidya Vihar, Raebareli Road, Lucknow on 26th July 2024
with an objective to create awareness and to seek inputs on the proposed Binary Accreditation.The Chief Guest of function Prof. Anil D Shastrabudde, EC, Chairperson, NAAC, Special guest Dr Suchita Pandey, Member, EC, NAAC, Prof Ganesan Kannabiran, Director, NAAC, Dr Ponmudiraj, Advisor, NAAC, Dr Prashant, Dy Advisor, NAAC, Dr Vinita, Asstt Advisor, NAAC, Prof Ramchandra,Director, IQAC, Prof Shilpi Verma, Dy Director, IQAC, Dr Ashwani K Singh, Registrar were part of the programme.
