Management Department of I.T.S Ghaziabad organized a Research Convention on December 21, 2024, focusing on the theme "India's Emergence as the Third Largest Economy: Unlocking Global Business Potential."
The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by distinguished guests including Mr. Anil Patni, Director - Corporate Affairs at Vikram Solar, who served as Chief Guest; Ms. Saumya Gupta, Deputy Director of Policy and Research Services Export Promotion Council from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Mr. Prateek Jain, Associate Director of Alliance of Digital India Foundation; along with key institutional leaders Mr. Surendra Sood, Dr. V N Bajpai, Dr. Ajay Kumar, and Convention Convener Dr. Rajiv Johri.
The inaugural session began with a welcome address by Dr V N Bajpai, Director of the Institute, where he explored revolutionary changes in solar energy, artificial intelligence, research, and innovation in India. Dr. V.N. Bajpai emphasized the convention's relevance and India's recent achievements, while Dr. Rajiv Johri outlined the program structure. The guest speakers offered diverse perspectives: Mr. Prateek Jain addressed capacity development and opportunity utilization, Ms. Saumya Gupta discussed infrastructure's role in India's development, and Mr. Anil Patni encouraged students and Indian startups to develop inclusive business models targeting societal advancement. Dr. Ajay Kumar concluded the session with a call to the younger generation to participate in India's development journey with fresh perspectives and energy.
A highlight of the convention was the panel discussion on "Challengers and Road Map for Future Growth," moderated by Mr. Arunoday Bajpai, COO of IIM-Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Center. The distinguished panel included Dr. Vivekanand Shukla from GST, UP Government; Dr. Bhaskar Roy from Genpact; Dr. Savita Sharma from Shri Vishwakarma Skill University; and Mr. Alakshendra Mishra from Satra Services and Solutions Private Limited.
The one-day convention attracted numerous participants and speakers from various institutions and corporate houses across Delhi, NCR and the country, fostering meaningful discussions on the convention's central theme and contributing to its overall success.

The Binary Club of the Department of Management at I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, successfully organized an engaging and skill-enhancing event titled "Excelerate: Where Typing Meets Trivia" on December 20, 2024. This event provided MBA (2024–26) Batch students with an opportunity to test and showcase their practical skills in data analysis, typing proficiency, and general knowledge, fostering an environment of learning and competition.
The activity aimed to test and improve participants' proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data organization, analysis, and visualization. It also sought to promote faster and more accurate typing, an essential skill in both academic and professional environments, and encourage critical thinking and awareness through general knowledge quizzes.
The event featured two well-structured and exciting rounds. The first round was a practical skills challenge, which included an Excel segment where participants demonstrated their skills in data analysis and chart creation, and a typing segment where competitors showcased their typing speed and accuracy in a timed challenge. The second round was a trivia and knowledge quiz that tested participants on general knowledge, technological awareness, and problem-solving abilities.
The winners of "Excelerate: Where Typing Meets Trivia" were Neeraj Mawari, who secured first place, Sandeep Singh in second place, and Vandana in third place.
The event concluded with a Felicitation Ceremony, led by Dr. Uma Gulati and Prof. Mansi Singh, who presented certificates and prizes to the winners. Participation certificates were distributed to all participants, recognizing their efforts and enthusiasm.
"Excelerate" was a fun and insightful event that successfully combined practical skills testing with knowledge assessment. The event’s success motivates the Binary Club to continue hosting activities that enhance technical proficiency and encourage creative thinking among students.

The Department of Management at the Institute of Technology & Science, Ghaziabad, organized a workshop for MBA II-year Batch 2023-25 IT Specialization students on "Business Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning" on December 24, 2024.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Chetan Prakash, Senior Data Scientist at APPWARS Technologies Pvt. Ltd., who has extensive experience in AI, ML, and data-driven business solutions.
The workshop aimed to provide students with practical insights into the applications of AI and ML in various business domains, enhancing their technical and analytical competencies.
The session commenced with a formal welcome, and a token of appreciation was presented to Mr. Chetan Prakash by Prof. Mansi.
Mr. Chetan Prakash began by introducing the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and emphasizing their growing importance in the business world. He then highlighted key real-world applications, including predictive analytics, customer behavior modeling, and operational optimization.
The session was interactive, with participants engaging in discussions and practical demonstrations of AI tools and frameworks. Students gained hands-on exposure to techniques used for implementing AI and ML in business scenarios, enhancing their understanding of these cutting-edge technologies.

A workshop on “Data Analytics for Business and Entrepreneurship” was organized for the students of MBA First Year (Batch 2024-26) on December 23, 2024.
The resource person of the day was Mr. Suraj Kumar Lohani- An Excel Trainer and Financial Analyst. Mr. Lohani is a seasoned data analystwith a rich experience of conducting numerous national and international workshops. The workshop started with warm welcome of the guest by Dr. Uma Gulati- Chairperson MBA Program.
During the session, Mr. Lohani explained in detail various statistical methods used for demand forecasting. He explained the use of various tools for data analysis, visualization and interpretation. He also elaborated on the interpretations of the data obtained using different methods and described the implications of the observationsfor taking the right decisions.
The session also witnessed active participation from the students as they raised their queries related to the topic. The explanations and examples given by the speaker helped in creating a good understanding of the discussion among the students.

The Director, Dr. V. N. Bajpai, formally welcomed Mr. A. Dixit, a Microsoft-certified industry trainer, and acknowledged his expertise and significant contribution as the resource person for the workshop. Recognizing Excel’s pivotal role in financial modeling, data analysis, and business decision-making, the program was thoughtfully designed to empower students to use Excel as a strategic tool in their professional endeavors.
The training encompassed diverse modules curated to align with modern business analytics requirements. Led by SYBGEN’s industry experts, the workshop covered advanced Excel functionalities, data visualization techniques, and practical applications of Excel in business scenarios. Institute of Technology & Science, Ghaziabad organised a Seminar on "SMARTs Investor Awareness Program" to enlighten MBA students on the importance of financial literacy, prudent investment practices, and market dynamics on December 10, 2024. The Resource person was Mr. Sanjay Gakhar, Vice President and Regional Head, Business Development, MCX Delhi.
The initiative is part of SMARTs' mission in collaboration with SEBI to equip young professionals with the skills and knowledge required to make informed financial decisions in their personal and professional lives. Mr. Sanjay Gakhar gave Introduction to stock markets, mutual funds, and bonds. He introduced the functioning of primary and secondary markets, Risk-return trade-offs in investments and emphasized the significance of financial literacy in shaping successful careers.
He also covered Principles of portfolio diversification, Goal-based financial planning and explained the benefits of starting early and the power of compounding.
The seminar received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, who found the content engaging and highly relevant to their career aspirations. Zenith - The Soft Skills Club of Department of Management, Institute of Technology & Science, Ghaziabad organized a Group Discussion (GD) competition "Paricharcha" to enhance the communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills of MBA (2024-26) batch students on 13 December, 2024.
This activity was designed to simulate real-world scenarios where effective group discussions play a pivotal role in decision-making and problem-solving processes.
Participant teams were given random topics related to current trends to discuss. Teams were evaluated by Faculty Judge, Dr. Sanjeev Tandon on content, clarity, teamwork, and overall impact. Each participant demonstrated unique perspectives and approaches to the given topics. Winners were awarded certificates and prizes to acknowledge their exceptional performance.
Faculty Coordinator, Prof. Shilpi Rana summarized the importance of continuous skill development and encouraging students to participate in similar activities.

PRATIBHA -2024, a Cultural Fest for MCA-I & III Semester was organized on 12th December,2024 at Chanakya Auditorium.
The Fest was formally inaugurated with Lamp Lighting before Goddess Saraswati by Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey,Director-IT, Chairperson-MCA Prof. Puja Dhar and Coordinator-MCA Prof. Smita Kansal which was followed reciting Saraswati Vandana. While addressing the students, Dr. Sunil, Kr. Pandey, Director-IT greeted the students and said that such events provide opportunity to understand each other and increase long lasting emotional bonding. Dr. Pandey said that in this competitive world, it is important to be focused, dedicated and committed towards the goal. He also congratulated the Faculty Coordinators and Student Coordinators for well organization of the Fest.Towards the end of the cultural programme, Akash and Nidhi Goswami were adjudged as Mr. & Ms. Fresher respectively and were felicitated with Trophy and Gifts. Based on the recommendation of members of jury members on their performance in activities, names of Ms. And Mr. Talent were also announced. The event aimed to provide insights into the adoption and implementation of IFRS in India and its implications for businesses, investors, and the overall financial reporting ecosystem.
The lecture began with an overview of INDAS, emphasizing its evolution and the need for convergence with global accounting standards. The speaker discussed the key differences between the previous Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and INDAS. The speaker highlighted the reasons behind India's decision to converge with IFRS, emphasizing the benefits of a single set of global accounting standards. Attendees gained insights into how the adoption of IFRS has affected financial statements in terms of recognition, measurement, and disclosure. The lecture provided a practical understanding of the changes in reporting, including fair value measurements, revenue recognition, and impairment of assets. Renowned industry experts Mr. Sonu Prakash and Mr. Chetan Prakash were the speakers for the event. Mr. Sonu Prakash engaged students with a motivational talk focused on career prospects in the field of data science.Mr. Chetan Prakash provided a hands-on session focused on implementing data science concepts.The objective of this workshop is to provide an overview of basic data science tools and their importance in data analysis and visualization, as well as to explain why Python is the chosen language for data science and introduce its major features for data processing and modeling.he knowledge gained from this visit will significantly aid the MCA first-year students in their academic projects and future careers. Dr. Rathore eloquently compared the features, benefits, and limitations of the old and new tax regimes, emphasizing their implications for businesses and individuals. He highlighted how the choice between the two regimes could influence financial planning, compliance costs, and the overall ease of doing business in India.

Excursion Trip to Lohagarh Farms: MBA 2024-26 Batch, I.T.S Ghaziabad

The excursion trip's primary objective was to allow students to relax, rejuvenate, and engage in experiential learning outside the classroom. A total of 196 students, along with 15+ faculty members, participated in the excursion, which aimed to promote teamwork, leadership, stress relief, and cultural exposure.
The trip was a perfect blend of learning, recreation, and adventure. Students participated in a range of traditional and modern activities, including:
Adventure Activities: Ziplining, ladder cross and rope courses that tested physical endurance and boosted confidence.
Team-Building Games: Tug of war, obstacle races, and group challenges that fostered collaboration and effective communication.
Cultural Engagement: Exposure to rural life through pottery making, camel rides, and folk music and dance performances.
Leisure and Relaxation: Open green spaces allowed students to unwind and socialize informally, strengthening interpersonal bonds.
The trip to Lohagarh Farms had several tangible and intangible benefits for the MBA students, including i)Teamwork and Collaboration: Activities required students to work in teams, promoting coordination, cooperation, and group problem-solving skills essential for management roles, ii) Leadership Development: Students took on leadership roles in various activities, enhancing their ability to guide and motivate others, iii)Stress Relief: A break from the academic routine helped students recharge mentally, leading to improved focus and well-being , iv)Cultural Awareness: Exposure to rural life activities allowed students to appreciate cultural diversity and its relevance in consumer behavior and business practices.
The trip was well-received by students and faculty alike. Students reported a positive experience, highlighting the team-building games and adventure activities as key highlights. Faculty members appreciated the holistic approach to experiential learning, noting the positive impact on student morale and camaraderie.
In conclusion, the excursion to Lohagarh Farms was a success, achieving its objectives of relaxation, personal growth, and experiential learning. It provided students with a platform to develop essential management skills like leadership, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity, which are critical for their professional development.

The objective of the workshop was to understand how modern database systems are evolving to support AI and ML workloads effectively with Hands-On Sessions. The session was inaugurated by Director (IT&UG) Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, Guest Speaker, our Alumni Mr. Suman Singh, Entrepreneur, Melonkode Software Solutions Private Limited, Chairperson-MCA, Prof. Puja Dhar, Coordinator-MCA, Prof. Smita Kansal, and DataBase Club Faculty Coordinator, Prof. Saurabh Saxena, Prof. Ashwini Kumar.While addressing the students, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey shared insights into the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in integrating databases with AI and ML systems. The session was conducted by the esteemed Dr. Mahendra Singh, a renowned expert in supply chain management and logistics. The session aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of modern supply chain practices and innovative approaches to restructuring supply chains for efficiency and resilience.
The online session commenced at 1: 40 PM with a warm welcome by the faculty of I.T.S College Prof. Amrit Kant Jha, who emphasized the importance of supply chain management in today’s dynamic business environment. Dr. Singh began his session by outlining the key challenges faced by supply chains in a globalized economy, including disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, and rapid technological advancements.
Dr. Singh structured the workshop into these key segments: Introduction to Supply Chain Innovation where he discussed definition and importance of innovation in supply chain management & Case studies of companies that successfully leveraged innovation to enhance their supply chains. Also in Technological Disruptions and Opportunities he discussed role of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) in supply chain optimization. The discussion also covered predictive analytics and real-time tracking systems.
