Department of I.T., I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized SAMAGRA-2025 an inter-institutional 12th Annual Techno-Cultural Fest on 5th April,2025.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Tony Satar, Offering Leader, IBM Cloud on Assignment in India Houstan, Texas , Director(IT), Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, Vice Principal-UG Campus, Dr. Nancy Sharma, Chairperson- MCA, Prof. Puja Dhar, Coordinator-MCA, Prof. Smita Kansal, Coordinator-SAMAGRA-2025,

Prof. Saurabh Saxena and Prof. Varun Arora. During the opening ceremony, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, Director of IT at I.T.S. Ghaziabad, emphasized the institution's commitment to providing students with platforms to showcase their talents across diverse activities. He also praised the SAMAGRA-2025 team for their exceptional dedication and enthusiastic participation in every event. While addressing the gathering Mr. Tony Satar said that it is an absolute honor and privilege to be at SAMAGRA – 2025, organized by the Department of IT. He also said that Events like SAMAGRA represent the true spirit of innovation. In today’s rapidly evolving world, it is essential for students to not only excel in academics but also explore their passions beyond the classroom. The combination of technology and culture that this fest promotes is truly commendable; it reflects a holistic approach to learning and personal growth. SAMAGRA-2025 featured a vibrant mix of technical and cultural events, including, IT Quiz, C & Python Programming, Poster Presentation, Rangoli Creation, Group Dance & Solo Dance, Treasure Hunt, Video Making and Storytelling. The event not only celebrated talent and creativity but also fostered collaboration and innovation among students from diverse institutions. I.T.S Ghaziabad organized Grand Finale of Young Talent Hunt (Annual Inter- college Quiz Competition) on 4th April, 2025

I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad successfully conducted the Grand Finale of it’s prestigious Young Talent Hunt, an annual inter-collegiate quiz competition on April 4, 2025,

The Event drew participation of  175 students from over 55 colleges across Delhi NCR including Ghaziabad, Meerut, Hapur, Pilkhuwa, Babugarh, Sikandrabad, Dadri, Bulandsher, and Baghpat. The competition, which began in November, 2024 with more than 3200 students competing in the preliminary rounds, culminated in this landmark event that showcased exceptional student talent from the region. Parents of participationg contestants and teachers from some of the colleges have also joined this occasion.

The grand finale commenced with an inaugural ceremony graced by distinguished guest Shri Suresh Kumar Singh (IAS, Retd.), Director of Srigee DLM Limited, Greater Noida and President of the Allahabad University Alumni Association, alongside Dr. V.N. Bajpai, Director of the Institute, and event convenors Dr. Puneet Kumar and Dr. Surendra Tiwari. Dr. Bajpai extended a warm welcome to all guests, participants and their families, while the chief guest inspired students by sharing personal experiences and encouraging them to embrace life's future challenges with confidence and purpose.

Following Dr. Puneet Kumar's presentation on the event overview and program sequence, the competition proceeded with two written elimination rounds, culminating in an exciting on-stage final round expertly moderated by Quiz Master Prof. Parul Gupta.

Bahaar Singh from NDIM Delhi, Pervej from Lakhmi Chand Patwari College, Baghpat and Tanisha from KIET, Ghaziabad bagged First, Second and Third positions respectively. The winners were awarded with a Cash prize of Rs.10000/- for First position, Rs.7500/- for Second Position and Rs.5000/- for Third position. Consolation prizes of Rs.1000/- to three participants were also given to  Bharti Bansal from LCP College Bagpat, Gaurav from M.M.H college, Ghaziabad and  Kashish from Keshav Marwar Girls Degree College, Pilkhuwa . All the participants were awarded with attractive gifts and certificates. It was a memorable event for all leaving behind lots of learnings and memories to cherish forever.

Department of MBA conducted Guest Lecture on “Approaches to Research Design” for MBA Batch 2024-26

The department of MBA, Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad, conducted a guest lecture on "Approaches of Research Design" on March 29, 2025 for the MBA 2024-26 Batch.

The session was conducted by Dr. Debarshi Mukherjee, Professor from Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi.

Dr. Mukherjee holds a rich experience in Business Research Methods and introduced the students with the meaning of the term Research, creating Research design and many important concepts and tools.

He extensively discussed about the three premises of a Research Problem like Ceterus Paribus, Mutatis Mutandin and Vox Populi, etc.

The session also highlighted the concepts of Qualitative and Quantitative Research, their applications and tools, Serendipity and utility in Research Design and methodology, difference between the terms “Method” and “Methodology” in the context of Research, utility, meaning and importance of Phenomenological Research, the findings of Das Experiment, etc.

Overall it was an enriching, enlightening, interactive and knowledge intensive session for the students and faculties.

Department of MBA conducted Guest Lecture on “Emerging Trends in Retailing” for MBA 2024-26 Batch

The MBA department of Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad, conducted a guest lecture on "Emerging Trends in Retailing" on March 28, 2025 for the MBA Batch 2024-26 .

 

The session was conducted by Dr. Jyoti Das, Ex-CXO, Swatch and Klein. Mr. Das, who holds a rich experience in Luxury and Retail trading segment introduced the students with the concept of Luxury goods, how we can create and stimulate the need of buying luxurious goods among the consumers of a developing nation like India, through proper advertising campaigns, proper promotion mix strategies and help of the existing retail framework.

He extensively discussed the meaning of Luxury Retailing, how luxurious goods trade is different from normal goods, the challenges and the current buying and selling trends of Indian market, how we can increase the sales of Luxurious goods and how they have a leverage over other commodities.

The session also showcased many interesting videos of different advertisement campaigns done by brands like Rado, Mercedes, Louis Viton, the epic pastry watch collection launch for press done by Swatch, Celebrity Marketing campaign done by Swatch and some other interesting marketing strategies and tactics employed by brands currently engaged in retail trading for luxurious goods.

The students were also made aware about the recent innovations in the concept of advertisements and billboards like use of 3D billboard at Times Square, Digitalisation in marketing and cashless payment networkinvolving UPI, Bar Codes, wallets, in-app purchases etc, meaning and importance of Omnichannel Retailing and other latest and emerging trends of luxury retail segment.

Mr. Das also mentioned about the “Retail of the future model” which comprises of direct connection with customer, dealers becoming franchise partners with International Brands, where the customers experience the brand in a more personal manner, single and uniform standard pricing, etc.

Overall it was an enriching, thrilling and knowledge intensive session for the students and faculties.

The Institute of Technology & Science conducted a workshop on "Resource Management and Data Analysis " on March 25, 2025, for the MBA Batch 2023-25.

Led by Dr. Gurpreet and Dr. Smita, the session aimed to provide students with practical knowledge in resource management and essential data analysis techniques. The workshop covered Mendeley for reference management, data collection methods, coding techniques for data structuring, regression analysis to identify variable relationships, and correlation analysis to understand data patterns. A significant highlight was the hands-on training, where students practiced using Mendeley for managing research papers, collecting and organizing data, coding for classification, and conducting regression and correlation analysis using statistical tools. By the end of the session, students developed analytical skills and gained proficiency in these techniques, which are crucial for academic and professional success.The interactive session concluded with a Q & A discussion, allowing students to clarify concepts.

The session was conducted by Mr. Anuj Raghav, Director of Aaradhari, a company known for its innovative AI-driven solutions. The session aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in the industry.

The primary objective of the session was to provide students and professionals with practical insights into how Artificial Intelligence is applied in real-world industry scenarios. By exploring use cases and challenges faced during AI implementation.Mr. Raghav began the talk with an engaging overview of how AI has evolved over the years and its current impact across various sectors. He then focused on real-world AI applications implemented by Aaradhari, including AI in predictive analytics, automation, and customer behavior modeling. UDAY Club of the Department of IT, I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad hosted a Musical Show for underprivileged kids, and we had a great time! Various artists and musicians performed, including child-friendly songs and interactive musical activities.

 

Kids were encouraged to sing, dance, and play musical instruments. Short music lessons were provided to help children learn basic musical skills.I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our Director Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey who encouraged and supported me in organizing this wonderful event for underprivileged children. Your encouragement and contributions made this event a great success. Kids were highly engaged during interactive sessions like sing-alongs and dance performances. They showed enthusiasm when given instruments to play. The event brought visible joy and excitement to the children. Many kids expressed a desire to learn music in the future. Volunteers played a crucial role in organizing, guiding, and engaging with children.The objective of the event was to bring joy, inspire creativity, and provide a platform for children to experience the power of music.

Competing against institutes like RKGIT, KIET, IMS, and Inmantec, three MBA (Batch 2024-26) students—Harsh Rathour, Yoginder, and Sumit Chaudhary—demonstrated exceptional skill in the Badminton Singles category. Harsh Rathour advanced to Round 4, putting up a tough fight against KIET. The event fostered sportsmanship, resilience, and strategic thinking, reinforcing I.T.S’s commitment to holistic student development. Special appreciation to Dr V. N. The Department of IT at ITS Mohan Nagar organized a "Learning with Fun" activity to provide an engaging and interactive educational experience for underprivileged children.

 

The objective was to foster curiosity, creativity, and knowledge through games, storytelling, and hands-on activities. This initiative aimed to make learning enjoyable and accessible while instilling confidence and enthusiasm in the children. We had a great time! These young children displayed their incredible talents through dance performances, emotional poetry, lively artwork, and soulful singing. Their confidence and excitement were quite endearing. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped and encouraged them. A huge thanks to our director sir Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey who supported and encouraged them. your kindness made this event even more special. I am also highly grateful for the valuable support of my colleagues and our MCA final-year students.The event ended with a prize distribution, an appreciation ceremony, and the joy of learning reflected in the smiles of the underprivileged children. The Department of IT held a guest talk on " Network Basics of Smart Devices and Future Trends " for MCA-III Semester students

The objective of this guest talk  is to provide an overview of current infrastructural services of the IT industry including networks  and security services and their importance in real life application development , as well as to explain what are the upcoming  challenges and opportunities for IT services career path.

The goal was to give students basic idea and  hands-on learning experience and a strong base in IT infrastructure services and security systems. The Guest talk  covered  basics  of Smart devices networking including the key concepts of switches , hubs ,routers and gateways and their applications in real-world situations. Mohammad Anas Cyber Security expert, and  Mr. Tarun Kathpalia  ,IT manager ,Silicon Comnet Pvt. LTD  Noida India and his team   was  the key resource person for this guest talk.By the end of the guest talk , students were expected to have better understanding about Network services, Smart devices , Security systems and be ready to handle different IT related administrative tasks and projects. Students appreciated the content and demonstrative  approach with the instructor addressing their questions on the spot. This was a new and valuable experience for the MCA-III Semester students

Three of the faculty members from Department of Management, Prof. Astha Shukla, Dr. Smita Barik, and Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, I.T.S Ghaziabad presented their  research papers in 5th International Conference on Advances in Management & Technology ICAMT-2025 organised by Jaypee Business School on February 19, 2025.   

 

Dr. Smita and Dr. Gurpreet gave insights into Distrust acting as a catalyst for employee permanent disconnection from organisation where Prof. Astha delivered a detailed presentation on the research findings, emphasizing the relationship between organizational climate and citizenship behavior in higher education institutions.

Dr. Arvind Arihant-JNU, Delhi served as a session chair with keynote speaker  Dr. Sheldon Carvalho and Internal Track chair Dr. Mitushi Singh engaged in a discussion on the implications of the research for institutional management.

After presentation there was Question and Answer round session for providing further insights into the research study.

Scholars and Faculty members interacted with peers from various institutions, discussing potential research collaborations and academic exchange opportunities.

She participation in the 5th ICAMT at Jaypee Business School was highly productive, contributing to the academic reputation of the institution and providing valuable insights for future research and institutional development. Workshops for BBA & BCA- 3rd Year Students on "Learning through Management Games"

Management Games (or Business Games, Business Simulators) refers to the training method for managers.

This form of training is based on an artificial environment that simulates the real situation in the management of the organization, whether it’s planning, decision  making, control, communications or management itself. Business games allow monitoring of the consequences of decisions, and respond naturally to various situations.

The Management Games conducted today for the students was “Survival on the Moon”. The game was conducted with objectives to demonstrate; Leadership, Individual & Group Decision Making process, Communication process, Managing Conflict and Team Work skills.

The students participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. During the debriefing session, students were explained the above behavioral concepts in the light of the game played. The session was highly interactive with a high degree of student’s engagement.
