Cyber security is a challenge not only for any particular sector or industry but all inclusive. Every business in present contemporary era, is largely dependent on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and with it come the risks associated with web security. The eminent speakers in this session were from different sectors including healthcare, banking and education. Mr. Deepak Talwar, Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM National Council on Cyber Security & National Security Officer, Microsoft was the moderator for the session including Mr. Debasish Mukherjee, Vice President Regional Sales (APAC), Sonicwall, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Rana, Senior Vice President RBEF, Amity, Mr. Arvind Sivaramakrishnan, Group CIO, Apollo Hospitals, Mr. Sameer Ratolikar, EVP & CISO, HDFC Bank, and Mr. Shivkumar Pandey, Group Chief Information Security Officer, BSE Ltd.as guests speakers.

Prof. Ajay Rana talked about why education industry is much more vulnerable to cyber hacking. He highlighted that education sector in India uses obsolete technology and lack specialized know how or knowledge about cyber security. He talked about the criticality of the information that we all share over the Internet. Every information we share has the potential to be hacked and used in undesirable manner. Keeping in mind, we must be vigilant and informed about multiple types of cyber risks. He also shared steps in the process of mitigation cyber security risks.  Mr. Arvind Sivarmakrishnan talked about the challenges of cyber risk in healthcare sector which is when actively fighting with CoVid-19 with all their mettle, cyber security is another enormous challenge for the industry. He insisted that cyber security is not just about technology and it’s know- how but also securing in terms of people, policies and programs. He highlighted the issue to ignorance or little awareness and that could be overcome by designing a curriculum around cyber security. He wonderfully spoke about how privacy and security must be inculcated at school and higher education level as other concepts are taught and then only it will come in people behavior and practice. It is an act of responsibility which has to be rationally adhered to. And lastly, Mr. Debasish Mukherjee talked about Boundless Cyber security model which companies can adopt for cyber security management. He also explained the journey of boundless cyber security with much precision and enthusiasm. The session was indeed very insightful and inspiring.
