Dr. Umang, Chaired Technical Session on theme “High-Performance Networking and Information Security” on 18th March 2021
in 15th INDIACom ; 8th International Conference on “Computing for Sustainable Global Development” organized at BVICAM, New Delhi during 17th – 19th March 2021 in association with IEEE Delhi Section, CSI Delhi Chapter, ISTE Delhi Section.
In the session, a total of 12 papers on the theme related to High-Performance Networking and Information Security were presented by authors from different colleges in different states and abroad.
It was throughout nice interaction with the authors during the session.
Online Seminar on “National Education Policy – 2020: A Vision for Future India” on 12th March 2021.

I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized a special Online Seminar on “National Education Policy – 2020: A Vision for Future India” on Friday, 12th March 2021.
In this event, leading experts of the country addressed and shared their perspective on National Education Policy-2020, its provisions, proposed revamping & restructuring of Education System in India and how these provisions could be implemented. All the guests in their address emphasized on the need of faculty training and about crucial role of faculty members & Teachers in its implementation at School Level as well as Higher Education.
Mr. Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group welcomed all the guests and talked about the challenges which may be encountered during implementation of NEP-2020 provisions along with different ways to counter them. He said that NEP-2020 is an ambitious Policy with provisioning to create an Educational Framework with global competitiveness. It is very important that all the stakeholders are aware and especially faculty, who would carry crucial responsibility for its successful implementation, has clarity on different aspects of it.
Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey, Director (IT & UG) in his opening remark spoke about the need of a country-wide Education Policy and discussed about provisions, objectives and aims of different education policies (1968, 1986 and NEP-2020) and how NEP-2020 is aimed at globalization and deMaclization of Indian education by introducing Indian ethos, values and promoting Regional and Mother tongue.

She emphasized on the need of adaption with the journey of change so that better and high-quality educational opportunities can be brought out for our Youth who is the future of our Country.
More than 500 Participants from various Colleges/Universities/ Schools from all across the country and different other countries attended the event in the online mode.
International Women’s Day

I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad celebrated ‘International Women’s Day’ on 8th March, 2021 with its own alumni luminaries, thereby acknowledging not only the success of the alumni but the success of all such women worldwide.
The program commenced with the welcome address of Prof. (Dr.) Vidya Sekhri, Director- Management who wished all the participants on the occasion of Women’s Day and emphasized that every day is celebration for women and they have been breaking barriers and scaling new heights. Prof. Durba Roy presented the program overview and quoted that feminism isn’t about making women strong rather it’s about changing the way the world’s receives this strength.
The program was graced by successful and accomplished alumni of ITS, Ms. Rashmi Chauhan, Associate Vice President& Global Head, Talent Acquisition, RateGain; Ms. Smriti Nagvanshi, HR BP ,Tata Technologies Ltd; Ms. Reetika Agarwal, Entrepreneur, E- Comm Consultant, Digital Marketing Expert, Wellness Coach & Speaker; and Ms. Tulika Verma, Key Account Manager, International Hiring Specialist
Ms. Rashmi Chauhan, Associate Vice President& Global Head, Talent Acquisition, RateGain expressed her desire to see women taking positions in board room, taking leadership roles and be an integral part of decision making. She motivated the female students to be open about their feelings and putting forward their points.
Ms. Smriti Nagvanshi, HR BP ,Tata Technologies Ltd, reminisced about her time in ITS and talked about taking challenges and breaking the stereotypes to become successful in all spheres.
Ms. Reetika Agarwal, Entrepreneur, E- Comm Consultant, Digital Marketing Expert, Wellness Coach & Speaker truly motivated the students by sharing her story of learning from failures. She asked the students to discover the diamond in themselves and not be defined by what others think.
Ms. Tulika Verma, Key Account Manager, International Hiring Specialist, stressed the importance of planning in life. She also highlighted the role of hard work and passion to reach greater heights. She acknowledged the role of women in her organization where 70% employees are women.
During the sessions, many anecdotes were shared by the guests, which kept the audiences enthralled.
At the end of the session Dr. D. K.Pandey put on record his concluding remarks and presented a digital plaque to each of the guests as a token of gratitude and remembrance.
Genesis' Business Plan Competition

Department of Management I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organised Genesis 2021 - the Business Plan Competition under the auspices of Ministry of Education and IIC ITS on Friday, 26th February, 2021. The programme consisted of an Inaugural Session followed by business plan presentations by the participants from various institutions.
The inaugural session started at 10:00 AM. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr Buddha Chandrashekhar, CCO AICTE, Ministry of Education and Head, NEAT. The Guest of Honour was Mr. Amitava Pal, Author and Associate Dean IISM, Mentor AIM IIT Mumbai.
The program commenced with an enriching address by Respected Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S - The Education Group and a warm welcome address by Respected Prof. (Dr.) Vidya Sekhri (Director Management I.T.S). Dr. Vidya Sekhri motivated the participants that winning or losing does not really matter; what matters is the spirit of participation. She emphasised that this competition aims at enhancing entrepreneurial and leadership skills. She also added that through this platform students will get an opportunity to get mentorship and guidance for their business plans along with the much needed real world experience.
The first speaker of the Inaugural session was the Chief Guest Dr. Buddha Chandrashekhar focused on the importance of the business plan and pointed out the five aspects which should be kept in mind while preparing the business plan, viz., - People, Process, Technology, Funding and Management. He also mentioned that we need to be focused and to stick to the vision. He also cautioned that one should not be afraid of failure because good opportunities are there and we need more job generators.
The second speaker was the Guest of Honour Mr. Amitava Pal who added one more, i.e., the fact that an entrepreneur should be a good human being and should not take any shortcuts. It is necessary to innovate for a unique product which can fill the gap between the expectation and the actual presentation.
At the end of the session a virtual plaque was presented to both the esteemed guests by Director Management as a token of gratitude for their valuable inputs and ideas. Overall the inaugural session was very encouraging; students participated with zeal and a number of queries were raised at the end.
Track I
Track I followed the Inaugural Session, This session featured five teams with ideas based on themes as diverse as agriculture, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and beekeeping.
The moderator of the session was Prof Shikha Arora while the jury members being Dr. Rajiv Ratan Shah and Dr. Sanjeev Tandon.
The first team consisting of Swetha Reddy, Vishal Raj, Mucherla Sahith dealt with the topic Green IoT for Smart Agriculture in New India. Their target market consists of farmers who are in need of organic manure and consumers who require organic food. The team proposed a unique methodology designed to meet the socio-economic challenges facing farmers across the country.
Next up was Team Spark featuring Shubham Singhal, Himangshu Rai and Megha with their venture Sole Mates. This startup is a shoe company. The product line includes formal shoes, casual shoes and sports shoes. The target segment consists of students and professional people. The highlight of the startup was digital shoes with features for detecting speed, measuring distance, counting calories, measuring body weight, a pulse rate sensor and evaluating posture.
The third team was The Business Geeks involving Koushiki Basu & Tushar Sharma. Their company was Cascade Stores. The business idea revolved around office supplies. The product line included office basics, furniture and seating, paper supplies and technology & machines. Their B2B goal is to tie up with Pepperfry, Amazon etc and in future they would also like to build their international presence as well. On the other hand their B2C goal is to provide customised products demanded by clients.
Then came BeeCastle made up of Nikhil Manoj Rodge & Hemant Rajendra Borole. Their concept was based on honey, where they intend to sell different types of flavoured organic honey like ajwain flavor honey, jamun flavor honey, multifloweral hirda gela honey, forest honey, litchi honey and sunflower honey. Their target is people above the age of 12 months. They would like to focus on health, purity and reasonable price. The marketing strategy includes websites, social media marketing, and brochures, marketing at different exhibitions, YouTube, mobile application and blogs. In order to create the value proposition they are resorting to educational campaigns, social media and providing pure honey.
The final team in this session was the uniquely named Doctor With a Stranger having Shubham Ghosh, Saloni Gupta and Shubham Rathore with Apricot Inc. Their services included IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. The strength is cost effectiveness, high profitability and revenue, resilience and disaster recovery. Weakness increased dependency and high speed internet connection. Opportunities include quick solutions of the problem, offering modern information solutions according to the latest technology. Threats include security concerns, lack of specific standard regulations.
After the completion of the group performance, the moderator called upon the jury for feedback and suggestions.
Finally Dr.Rajeev Johri was invited for the vote of thanks and presenting of plaques the visiting Dr. Rajiv Rattan Shah.
Track 2
Track 2 included Service Industry Presentations.
Mr. Rajat Bharadwaj & Mr K.K. De were the jury members for the session. Competing teams included those from institutions like NMIMS University, Mumbai etc.
The first team to present their business plan was from NMIMS University, Mumbai. The Concept Crew presented on the concept of “IoT Based Smart Parking System” which helps the car owner to pre book a parking slot at their destination so as to avoid hastles and to reduce traffic congestion. The jury members appreciated their idea and suggested measures like providing a live camera feed for its premium customers who own expensive cars and also to make the system “Use and Pay Basis” without charging any subscription fee.
The second team was Team Mavericks from CVR College of Engineering, with their business plan “IoT Based Smart Saline Bottle System” used to monitor and regulate the flow of saline. They presented their estimated cost for a single product and the total requirement of funds for setting up the plant. They informed the Jury that they have even projected their idea to MSME, Government of India.
The third team was Team Sunshine who presented on the idea of “Wardrobe Secrets”, an application for personalised outfits based on body type, skin tone etc. which suggests all available outfits on various e-commerce websites. The service would be available in two modes, viz., - commission model and advertisement model.
The next team was Team De-Constructors from NICMAR Pune. Their business De-Con was aimed at creating an end to end network of resources that help in turning waste materials into reusable sustainable material. It is an online platform providing single point solution for all deconstruction services like selective deconstruction and dismantling. They expect that it will help to have safer and much cleaner options resulting in minimum debris and demolition. Jury members appreciated the unique idea of De-Con and they suggested that they can sell the remaining product to builders who are working on new projects and also act as a mediator between two builders or contractors.
The last team was”Thought Process Events” from ITS Mohan Nagar. Thought Process Events is a talent management company which provides a stage to new talents for showcasing their talent and following their passion like open mics. Their target audience is made up of artists like budding poets, singers, and comedians.
Towards the end of the session, Dr. Indraneel Mandal appreciated the excellent work being done by all the teams. Director Management, Prof. (Dr.) Vidya Sekhri shared her concluding remarks and appreciated the innovative ideas by all the teams and thanked all the jury members for their valuable guidance to budding entrepreneurs. She presented a virtual plaque to the Mr Bharadwaj as a token of gratitude and remembrance.
Following the declaration of results, Dr. Puneet Kumar gave a vote of thanks.
As the day drew to a close the assembled audience marvelled at the breadth and diversity of ideas from the would be entrepreneurs. The takeaway for the students was that any idea could be workable through a judicious thought process and the right business plan.
Virtual Business Summit 2021

Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad organized a Virtual Business Summit on the focal theme of “Enterprising Skills & Growth Strategies in the Post Pandemic Period” on 20 February, 2021.
The program commenced with the enriching address by Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S - The Education Group and welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Vidya Sekhri, Director- Management. The overview of the summit was delivered by Convener, Dr. Anusha Agarwal. The inaugural session was graced by the presence of Mr. Ashish Patel, Managing Director- Morgan Franklin (U.S), as the Guest of Honor; Mr. Rajendra Shrivastav, President, AES India, Chairman & MD of JV, as distinguished Guest of the day and Mr. Phoram Mehta, Senior Director, APAC CISO PayPal, President ISACA, (Singapore) as the chief Guest of the ceremony.
Followed by the Inaugural Ceremony, the summit highlighted very prominent points via Panel Discussion- 1with the subtheme – New Frontiers of Environment, Sustainability & Governance deliberated by eminent speakers from Industry. Mr. S.K. Sethi, Founder &CEO, Insurance Foundation of India discussed how environment is changing rapidly and how each one of us should contribute towards it. He talked about three pillars, primarily, Government, Industry and Society whose combined contribution play a major role towards environment sustainability.
Next speaker of the session, Mr. Saurabh Jain, Vice President PAYTM discussed about how the environment changed during lockdown. He emphasized that “future belongs to entrepreneurs” and quoted the example of Elon Musk, how his idea Tesla and SpaceX contributed towards sustainability and made him a success.
Mr Sahil Nayar , Senior Associate Director, KPMG (Mumbai) talked about how Covid become best example of VUCA. He redefined the term NEW NORMAL as NEO NORMAL. Mr Nayar gave a wonderful insight to audience about work life balance, work life harmony, gratitude, multi-tasking and switch task.
Then session was carried on by Mr Sulabh Goel, VP, Ernst & Young. He focused on sustainability and talked about before-covid era and after-covid era. He also talked about how people are adjusting and adapting to the new normal, private financing for infrastructural development and work from home culture.
Last Speaker of the session was Ms Ritika Mathur, Director, Grant Thorton. She discussed how our policy makers needs to think differently and quoted the point that equity and environment go hand in hand together. She discussed about the importance of investment in clean technology, the new area of health care technology, drivers of sustainable environment& new transformation that can be helpful. The Moderator of this panel discussion was Prof Yachhna Malhotra.
Panel Discussion 2 followed the Inaugural Session and Panel Discussion 1.The theme for this session was “Direction and Pace of Post Pandemic Period”. The Moderator of this panel discussion was Prof Shikha Arora. The eminent speakers joining the session were Mr. Peter Dorrington, Founder Director, XMplify Consulting Ltd.; Mr. Ankush Gadi, Director, CRISIL (Mumbai); Mr. Atul Shukla, Vice-President, JPMorgan Chase; Mr. P Kannan, Senior Regional Manager, Bajaj Finserv; Mr. Manigandan Ramesh, Head- Sales Automation Business Excellence, Haldiram Foods International Ltd.; and Ms. Neha Shukla, Associate Vice-President, NatWest Bank.
Mr. Peter Dorrington flagged off the session by discussing about human behaviour, digital transformation, hybrid working and different ecosystems. During his discussion he quoted Warren Buffett while focusing on customer satisfaction.
Next Mr. Ankush Gadi started on a positive note by stressing that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. He mentioned 23.9% fall in GDP during April to June period followed by the V- shaped recovery now. He also spoke about the three major challenges facing India,viz.,labour intensive manufacturing, climate change and human capital.
Mr. Atul Shukla briefed about decreasing consumer confidence index, household GDP, rural base growth and government contribution to the GDP. He also referred to the three pillars of any economy, i.e., government, corporate and the consumers.
Mr. Kannan spoke of many sectors that are still improving, not improving and/or struggling. He provided an example by pointing out how two million loan applications in June had now increased to twenty million.
Mr. Manigandan Ramesh offered that the storm may have gone but it was time to perform. He was very positive & optimistic throughout and talked about the 5Rs (Resolve, Return, Reform, Resilience & Re-imagination). He spoke about how automation helps us in increasing productivity.
Finally Ms. Neha Shukla held forth on four major points, viz., - rebranding of portfolios, cost structures, work place changes, and digitalisation. She referred to digitalisationas the biggest gift of Covid-19 and the fact that now people are looking for safe places for work rather than great places for work.
During the sessions, many pertinent queries and doubts were raised by the students which were handled and satisfied very effectively by the all distinguished speakers.
At the end of the session Prof. (Dr.)Vidhya Sekhri, Director (Management), I.T.S Mohan Nagar put on record her concluding remarks and presented a digital plaque to each of the guests as a token of gratitude and remembrance.
Zenith – The Soft Skills Club Activity “One Step Forward” for MBA students.

I.T.S – Mohan Nagar, Department of Management organised an Online activity “ONE STEP FORWARD” for MBA (2020-22) batch students on 5th February 2021.
The objective of the activity was to give a glimpse of Current affairs of businesses to the students. As an MBA student, it is very important to evaluate every small change done by companies for general awareness and also for better understanding of the subjects.
This activity was conducted in two rounds. The first round was conducted on 4th February through the Google form, in which questions related to aptitude and current affairs were given. And there was a huge participation of students.
The second round was conducted on 5th February on Zoom platform in which Business quiz was conducted. Participants were given 10 seconds to answer each question.
The event was made even more interesting and interactive when the audiences were also allowed to participate in the filler round during the activity.
The result of the activity is as follows:

Financial Planner & Winner of CNBC TV 18 Financial Advisor Award on the topic of “Investment Awareness Among the Young Generation " on 10 Feburary, 2021
Mr. Shamsher Singh described the students the difference between Primary Market and Secondary Market. And he also explained the different types of issues provided to the public and to shareholders. He suggested the students that what the basic requirement for Trading and Demat Account is.
Mr. Shamsher explained the parameter to be taken care of before investing in a company. He further emphasised the SEBI’s recent investor’s protection measures and Do’s & Don’ts of investing in security market. He advised students about contract note and how to settle buy and sell trade.
The Workshop was very participative. There were various queries from the student’s side, The Session was concluded by honouring her with a virtual plaque and a special vote of thanks.

in Alumni Talk Series for MCA Students on 6th February 2021. Mr. Manjim Mukul Sharma, Associate Director, KPMG Singapore was the speaker of the session.
Mr. Manjim Mukul Sharma, Associate Director – KPMG Singapore & MCA Alumni (Batch 2000-2003) addressed the gathering on a very important topic “Identity and Access Management”. Mr Sharma explained the need, importance, process and framework for Identity and Access Management to prevent unauthorized access and prevent the ICT resources, services and facilities from any external or internal attacks with live case studies. During the Session he also spoke about different security mechanisms and cryptographic algorithms. Mr. Sharma interacted with students and answered the queries asked during the session.
It was a nice experience for all participants.
Virtual Industry Visit organized for MBA I (2020-22 Batch)

Department of Management organized a virtual industry visit to Mother Dairy, Delhi for the students of MBA 2020-22 batch.
The objective of the visit was to provide the newly admitted batch a unique learning exposure by closely observing the functioning of the plant.
The virtual session began with a detailed explanation about the company and its different products, followed by a foray into the entire processing at the plant. The company representative Mr. R.K.R Pillai explained how Mother Dairy is achieving consumer satisfaction by continuously ensuring quality in its range of products.
He also discussed how Mother Dairy is facing the increasing competition and its future plans to expand the operations in the untapped markets of India.
The students found the session highly informative and engaging and raised many queries which were duly answered by the guest.
Alumni Talk by Mr. Manoj Kumar for MCA

Tech next Club, Department of I.T, I.T.S, Mohan Nagar organized a “Online Workshop-On Responsive Web App Development with AngularJS” in Alumni Talk Series for MCA Students on 30th January 2021.
Mr. Manoj Kumar MoMagic was the speaker of this session. In the Session, Mr. Manoj Kumar talked about the Responsive Web App, Web Technologies, Node js, AngularJs HTML5, CSS 3 and Bootstrap. Mr. Kumar also demonstrated developing responsive Web App. The session was very informative for students.
Finance club online activity for MBA

Finvest Club of Department of Management at ITS – Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized an online activity “FINTALK”—The Finance orators leading the way! for MBA (2020-22) batch on 29th January, 2021.
The activity was in Two Rounds:- The first round of the activity was by floating Google form to the participants through link in which Reasoning and Aptitude questions were there containing 30 questions, which has to be done in 15 minutes
The second round of the activity was An Extempore round which checked the ability of the students that how much they are confident and able to communicate on virtual forum with their best of knowledge. The participants spoke on their respective topics allotted to them by the club on the spot and they were having 2minutes to speak.
Judging was based on 3 criteria: Content, Communication skills, Confidence level.
The activity started sharp at 4.00PM with the introduction video. We had our seniors as the judge of the competition. Out of 8 participants, top 3 performers of the activity were awarded with Appreciation Certificate and rest others were given the Participation Certificate.

Batch by Mr. Syed Rahim, Senior Director – CSC- Manthan, Middle East & Africa on the topic “Digitalization- Revolutionizing Marketing Strategy" on 25th January, 2021
Mr. Syed Rahim explained that Digital marketing strategies and platforms are evolving at an astounding rate requiring all marketers and companies to be creative and innovative to keep up with the trends. He further added that now companies need to concentrate on Identifying the ‘inflection points’ indicating a shift in the customer’s needs.
Ms. Syed said that AI technologies are the future of work, because they enable companies to collect, analyze and apply data in the right place at the right time. There is enormous potential for increasing sales by enabling businesses to make informed data-driven decisions and improve personalization.
Mr. Rahim emphasised that companies does not need to complete overhaul of their digital marketing initiatives. Instead, businesses can adopt a strategic evolution of their digital marketing strategies and how they engage with customers.
The session was very participative. There were various queries from the student’s side, regarding the digitalization. The Session was concluded by honouring her with a virtual plaque and a special vote of thanks.
Celebration of 124th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose

Department of IT, I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad Celebrated online 124thBirth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Students of MCA were enthusiastic to participate in this celebration.
While addressing the students Director-IT, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey said that NetajiSubhas Chandra Boseis known for his role in India's independence movement. A participant of the non-cooperation movement and a leader of the Indian National Congress. He was brave and a great freedom fighter, a great diplomat with full of patriotism. He was a brilliant student and intellectual and cleared the Civil Service exam in his first attempt. He was a true freedom fighter. He also appreciated the participation of students in various activities like speech and poem recitation.
Prof. Puja Dhar, Chairperson- MCA said while addressing said that students should follow the foot-steps of the freedom fighters like Neta Ji Subash Chandra Bose. He was a bright student as well as a good leader. She also appreciated the efforts of students of MCA who on a short notice prepared for this occasion.
Prof. Smita Kansal, Coordinator-MCA also wished students best luck and said that they too should build patriotism within them and should work for the betterment of country.
Faculty members of Department of I.T. also participated on this occasion by reciting poem and some presented their views on the biography of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.
Students participated with full patriotism and were well prepared for this occasion. Their participation made this celebration more patriotic.

successfully completed AICTE sponsored Six Day Short Term Training Programme (STTP) under AQIS Quality Teaching and Research fromJANUARY 18-23, 2021 organized by IMI Bhubaneswar.
The STTP was focused towards conceptual overview and hands on experience on many facets like Teaching pedagogies , Creating effective presentation for class ,Case method of teaching ,Research problem and research ,Introduction to multivariate data analysis , Creating a manuscript publishable in an international journal .The 6 days course was packed with session delivered by the eminent speakers from IMI Bhubaneswar and other reputed institutions
Theoverall objective of STTP was to familiarize participants with updated pedagogical tools and techniques and to develop among participants the competency to assess a business predicament under uncertainty and choose the appropriate research technique to generate relevant insight. The program also highlighted how to publish in high category journals. Participants also got an insight of multivariate statistical methods for quality research.
The training program was enriched with learning and knowledge.
