The Inaugural Session started in the morning of the 16th as the Director (Management) Dr. Vidya Sekhri welcomed all to the enlightening learning exercise. She referred to these difficult times as an opportunity not only for the education sector, but also for the other parts of the economy to rise to the occasion. She succinctly encapsulated the situation as the abnormal becoming the new normal. Lauding the government for its ground breaking revival package, she said that leaders from various sectors needed to deliberate threadbare on the issues involved. That was the avowed purpose of the online FDP programme.

Next the Honourable Vice Chancellor Shri Arpit Chaddha ji addressed the gathering. He described the faculty as the unsung warriors as they had to respond quickly to the unraveling situation arising from the unexpected lockdown at short notice. He pointed to the major life changing situations arising out of the Corona crisis and added that we need to prepared for wholesale changes in the way we conduct our lives. He hoped that the FDP over two days would provide a fertile ground for a fruitful exchange of ideas.

Session-1
In the session, there were two speakers. The session was coordinated by Prof Yacchnna Malhotra.

Speaker-1: Then it was the turn of the first resource person of the day Prof. Parimal H. Vyas, Vice Chancellor, The M S University of Baroda, Vadodara to start the FDP programme. Prof. Vyas quickly got down to the task of analysing the prevailing economic situation, both within the country and outside. He spoke about the decreasing growth rate of the real GDP and massive demand shock. However, he also insisted that we need to be pragmatic in that the pandemic could provide an opportunity for India to make its presence felt in the global economy. In this context he referred to the yeoman’s service rendered by Indian companies through the export of much needed medicines, PPEs and ventilators at this critical juncture to the countries that need them badly. He spoke of the need to bolster manufacturing, which would raise demend, in turn attracting FDI. Other solutions suggested included sector specific regulations, infrastructure development, restoration of supply chains, maintenance of liquidity and government support for vulnerable sectors. Finally he summed it all up by saying that we may be good at management, but not necessarily at solutions.

At the conclusion of the speech, the Director (Management) thanked Prof. Vyas on behalf of the participants for his comprehensive yet insightful discourse.  

Speaker-2: The other speaker for the session-1 was Shri Gopal Krishna Agarwal, National Spokesperson for Economic Affairs, Bharatiya Janata Party. He started by saying that economy is in a challenging position right now. He referred to the lockdown in India as a strategy for creating an atmosphere where health infrastructure can be adequately multiplied for dealing with the crisis. He mentioned the increased production of medicines, PPEs and ventilators, which was so much greater than that at the outset that India is now in a position to export the same.

Describing the emergence of India gradually as a global economic power, Mr Agarwal referred to the five pillars of the Indian economy, as elucidated by the Prime Minister. Firstly we need to be strong in manufacturing. Certain sectors need to be a more specifically identified. Thirdly technology needs to be harnessed more effectively – something that has been brilliantly demonstrated during the present crisis. The fourth element is demography, another component that needs to be grasped fully in the Indian extent. The fifth pillar is demand; without effective demand creation, there can be no gainful investment. Then Mr Agarwal proceeded to the factors of production, again something that the PM threw light upon. These were law, labour, liquidity, and compliance.

The Director Management thanked Mr Agarwal for the informative session, saying that it was the responsibility of the faculty to select the young talent judiciously. Supply having been taken care of, it was the demand that was the issue. She thanked Mr Agarwal, inviting him to come to the institute. Dr Vinay K. Srivastava, Convener of the e-FDP, also thanked Mr Agarwal for making time despite his busy schedule.  

Session 2, Day I
After a thought-provoking Inaugural Session, the e-FDP on the fallout of the Covid-19 crisis resumed with three interesting speakers lined up for the second session of the first day. The session was coordinated by Prof Shikha Arora

Speaker-3: The first speaker in this session was Prof. N. D. Mathur from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Manipal University, Jaipur. Prof. Mathur began by referring to the oft repeated conundrum about Economics – that it is not an ideal science, but more of a decision science. After going through the major proponents of Economics as a subject, he focused on the situation in India in the post-liberalisation era. Speaking of the prevailing conditions, he began with the migrant labour crisis. He opined that it was unlikely that the lakhs who had been forced to leave the cities would return even if the problem is resolved. The net result would be that rural income is likely to come down.

On a larger scale the unemployment situation could get exacerbated. Support needs to provided either through government schemes like NREGA or via interest free loans. The agriculture sector has always been a victim of neglect. While the service sector has contributed as much as 80% of the GDP, it does not provide employment support. This is where agriculture plays the role of savior. While agricultural prices have hardly gone up by 15 to 17%, salary has gone up more than 10 times. Raising of support prices and other associated measures are the need of the hour.

Prof. Mathur also suggested the need for growth in manufacturing, technological shift, changes in wages, structural changes in the economy, modifications in work culture, rise of the gig economy, changes in the realty sector, liquidity infusion, etc. Painting a brighter picture amidst the gloom, he referred to the opportunities arising out of all the problems, viz., the happiness of spending time with family members, reduction in pollution levels, increase in empathy, reduction in consumption of luxury items, changes in eating habits leading to better health, greater dignity for household work, decrease in crime, etc.

Speaker-4: The next session involved Prof. Seema Gupta, Associate Professor in Digital Marketing at IIM Bangalore. She started by quoting Charles Darwin, saying that who survive are not necessarily the strongest or most intelligent, but the most adaptable. Speaking of the economic impact of the crisis, she referred to how its effect could be likened to that of a wrecking ball. She applauded the government on visionary steps like the decision to stop FDI from the neighbouring countries. Even with a reduced GDP of 1.9% p.a., India could end up with the highest GDP among the G20 nations.

Creating a portrait of life after the crisis, Prof. Gupta said the widening demand supply gap could lead to the collapse of several companies. Further, considering the time taken to get a vaccine commercially available, and the state of the healthcare system in India, the problem itself may take a long time to be resolved. Coming to consumption patterns, there would be less tendency for consumers to have out-of-home experiences, which could result in the growth of e-commerce and home delivery segments. Work wise job content was likely to change, and job seekers would have to become more versatile and adaptive in terms of skills. A siginificant percentage of the workforce may have to work permanently from home. Students would have to actively create and nurture networks for job seeking purposes, while becoming specialised in a bouquet of job skills.

Speaker-5: The last speaker of the day was Mr Rahul Kumar, Managing Director, Lactalis India and ex-MD, Amul. Coming from the dairy sector, Mr Kumar preferred to confine his lecture to the food sector and agriculture at large. He started by saying that while the Corona crisis undoubtedly represented a major challenge, one of the bright spots was that food was abundantly available, thanks to a bumper harvest. However, while food was available, it needed to be managed and distributed properly.

Food was one of the rare sectors where losses had been minimum amidst all the economic gloom. Poultry, fish and meat were the only segments that recorded significant losses due to the changing food habits. Coming to milk and milk products, Mr Kumar provided a variety of statistics to demonstrate the burgeoning growth since the days of Operation Flood. In a largely vegetarian society, milk functions as a de facto source of protein. While dairy products were easily available, they are not affordable for all. Finally, Mr Kumar rounded off the interaction with a snapshot the activities of his current company Lactalis.

All three speakers received a vote of thanks from Director Management Dr Vidya Sekhri and Convener of the e-FDP Dr Vinay K. Srivastava. It marked out an intellectually profitable first day of the learning programme.

Session 3, Day II
The second and final day of the e-FDP on the fallout of the Covid-19 had only one session from the outset. Two speakers had been earmarked for this session. The session was coordinated by Prof Surendra Tiwari.

Speaker-6: The first speaker of the day was Mr Ashish Patel, Managing Direcctor, Morgan Franklin Consulting, Virginia-USA, linking up all the way from the USA. He chose to speak on the topic “Impact of the Pandemic on Education – Recalibrating for the New Normal”. Mr Patel started with a historical reference, going back to the Spanish Flu of 1920. Then there was the Swine Flu of more recent times. Due to globalisation and increased movement of people across the world pandemics have the potential of becoming a global phenomenon.

Mr Patel continued with the economic effects of the Pandemic, talking about job losses and/or reduction in income and the need for students to focus on areas other than the widely chosen marketing. Work from home and lifestyle changes are another part of this reality. The question is how many people have the skill sets to adapt to the changed circumstances.

From the digital perspective, Mr Patel spoke about escalation in the use of e-commerce, the rise of distance economy, the spread of the geographical supply chain, the increasing learning curve and legacy education. Cautioning that technology can only be an enabler, he said that businesses needed to restrategise. The same applies to the education sector. He gave the example of several schools and colleges in India which made the successful transition from traditional to online education in the matter of weeks.

Mr Patel went on to touch on topics like female participation bolstering the digital economy; initiatives of the Government of India like Digital India, Startup India and Skill India riding on digitilasiation; and value added systems based on attributes like innovation, lateral thinking, digital transformation, change management, cyber security and disruption. He concluded by saying that innovation would be the key for India, and that as a country the crisis could turn out to be a key opportunity. It was a highly informative session which was widely appreciated by all present.

Speaker-7: The next and final speaker was Prof. Arun Kumar from MONIRBA University, Allahabad. His topic was “Post Covid-19: Governance for Independence”. He initiated the session by saying that lockdown translated for the general population in terms of aspects like shutdown of activity, cash flow shortage, paycuts, retrenchment, loss of demand and economic standstill. He demonstrated how the different sectors of the economy had been severely affected as a result of the crisis.

Coming to the question of independence, Prof. Kumar interpreted it in terms of political, economic, social and cultural independence. He stressed on the fact that he was focusing more on economic independence, rather than the political one, though both were interdependent, as the former had become very relevant after the Prime Minister emphasising on Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Prof. Kumar broke down the current issues into pressing problems; crises; planning and prevention; production capability; recognising new opportunities; relationship building; renewal and recreation. He took time to explain each element. Lastly he discussed areas like the organic components of business; various stages of business (survival, maturity and sustainability); and the five variables of business (entrepreneur, finance community, educational institutes, research and development institutes and government).
Once again it was a very comprehensive discussion of the topic at hand which was enlightening for one and all.

Both speakers were thanked by Director Management Dr Vidya Sekhri. Finally, Dr Vinay K. Srivastava delivered the Vote of Thanks before the Director Madam brought the programme to a close with her parting remarks and observations.

The two-day e-FDP turned out to be very successful as all participants and faculty members marveled at the variety of learnings obtained across three sessions with highly knowledgeable resource persons. It was hoped there would be more such sessions in future enabling all to build on the knowledge gained.

The session was based on mixed method research and how it is displayed using advanced tools. Mixed methods refers to research that uses both quantitative and qualitative approaches to collect and analyze data. But how do you handle all the great -- but very different -- data that both these traditions provide? The  two experts in multi- modal methodology explained how to present the resulting data in ways that help create inferences, interpret data and analyze findings. They shared some great insights and beautiful pictures and models from their own research.  Seven step model or framework of mixed method data analysis was also elaborated by the experts. 

The panelists also included in their discussion the impacts of COVID-19 on research and how mixed methods approaches are showing extra value in this moment. The session was full of much learning, experiences and inspiring insights.

Prof. Justin began the session by sharing his journey and life experiences and the learning he had derived over his career span.  It was really invigorating and inspiring. Further into the session, he shared a ton of information upon choosing the right journal or database for collecting sample, the scope of choosing ABDC, Scopus and Web of Science/ SSCI databases, how to find topics for the articles and many more aspects of writing a worthy literature review based article. He indeed provided some great insights and the session as really fruitful.

Mr. Prashant Shukla, MD- Udemy (India and South Asia), talked about and addressed the concern of our existential educational framework and whether it serves the capabilities for upcoming disruptions as result of the global pandemic. He discussed various initiatives including Atal Innovation Mission’s AI Base Module for schools, developed in partnership with NASSCOM which does look appealing nevertheless. But are there certain dead spots that the education sector is missing? Further discussion happened about how to find out these gaps, and how colleges need to tackle the problem. Mr. Prashant Shukla, strongly feels that Indian education curriculum of many of the professional and technical courses needs a thoughtful reconsideration in order to incorporate the future needs of the global market. The session was very inspiring and insightful.

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way organizations work and cater to their customers. The program was designed to help ITS staff members understand the changing expectations of students/patients and fulfill the need of delivering excellent service to them as customers.

Dr Charu emphasized upon the value of creating WOW moments in customer service which in turn impacts customer satisfaction. She deliberated upon creativity and idea generation to deliver differentiated service keeping human values in mind. Participants showed a lot of enthusiasm and responded eagerly. They discussed the role/job specific scenarios to develop a better understanding of the changing situation. They were motivated to implement learning from the development module to real life situations to bring excellence in customer service.

The speaker for the session was Dr. Dipan Sahu, MHRD IIC. At the two and half hour long session he spoke at length about the National Innovation and Startup Policy 2019 for Students and Faculty. He discussed the thrust areas and highlighted features of the policy. The learning session was replete with start up related insights to the benefit of budding student entrepreneurs. The session focused upon the following relevant information:

1. the strategies and governance for promoting entrepreneurship, incubation and preincubation support facilities,
2. nurturing startups, product ownership rights for technologies developed at HEIs,
3. organizational capacities, human resources and incentives,
4. creating innovation pipelines and pathways for entrepreneurs,
5. norms for faculty startups, pedagogy and learning interventions for entrepreneurship.
6. collaboration, cocreation, business relationship and knowledge exchange and
7. entrepreneurial impact assessment.  

Management students and faculty of I.T.S college Ghaziabad attended the session on Role and Importance of Pre Incubator by Mr. Mithu Singaram from IIT Madras on the 29th of April. The rich learning session focused on planning an incubator highlighting the key components in planning an incubator covering feasibility study planning, business planning and incubator policies. It focused on initial tasks required of the development team, learning and capacity building, infrastructure and facilities and designing of incubator including space and design. The speaker discussed the difference between preincubation, incubation and accelerator and aspects involving funding and handling of financials of an incubator. The discussion also touched upon the key skills required of incubator staff. He discussed at length elements of an effective mentoring program and key success factors. The session was rich in practical knowledge for students interested in pursuing entrepreneurship.

 
Faculty members and students of the Department of Management participated in the activity organized under MHRD IIC e session series on the 30th of April on “Hangout with Emerging Innovator & Entrepreneur through MIC & AICTE” with successful entrepreneur Ms. Vandana Thakur from L M College of Pharmacy, Ahemdabad and Mr. Amit Sanjay Loknayak of Institute of Chemical Technology of Mumbai and associated with IIT Bombay as the key speakers. Ms. Thakur discussed at length her innovation AnV-Stat which is a homeostasis formula based Gauze for First Aid Kit highlighting on the vision and mission behind the innovation and the innovative features associated with it. She traced the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey and emphasized on what it means to be a female entrepreneur. She shared the details about the project right from its ideation stage to finding a place in MHRD Innovation Cell nominations and the ensuing accolades which opened doors for funding and international market exposure as well. She also highlighted the essential elements and phases of startups towards educating the listeners. Mr. Amit Sanjay Loknayak focused on the basics of startups from the perspective of student entrepreneurship. He shared his national award winning innovation called PREG V DET kit which is a urine based simple rapid pregnancy detection kit for cattle which was recognized at the MIC POC contest. He also talked about the global recognition that followed and shared his learnings from global communication experts for investor pitch. 

Students and faculty of the Department of Management of ITS, Ghaziabad attended the e session on the 1st of May on Role of Network Enablers in Driving I & E in HEIs  with Ms. Geetika Dayal, Executive Director TiE Delhi NCR as the key speaker. The speaker traced the journey of TiE Delhi NCR since its inception in 1992 and its growth story with its goal of influencing the maximum number of start ups and entrepreneurs through its activities of regular monthly networking meetings, workshops, investor connects, mentoring sessions, forum meetings in education and training and its representations at global events. Towards addressing the stall in business activity on account of the covid lockdown it has:

• As one of the key enablers of the startup ecosystem, been endeavoring to connect with the quarantined innovators across the country by leveraging the digital platforms.
• Through series of daily webinars, been facilitating remotely enabled knowledge sharing platforms between startup founders and domain experts.
• Helped the startups tide through COVID 19 crisis on the back of the strategic guidance and support supplied by top angel investors and mentors.
• Through online Mentoring Helpline provided regular and constant support to members.

Faculty members and students of Department of management of ITS Ghaziabad participated in the MHRD e session on the 4th of May featuring Hangout with Successful Startup Founder and Learning on Design thinking Approach for Hardware Innovation with Dr. Pankaj Parashar, CEO/Founder Cutting Edge Medical Devices Pvt. Ltd., Indore as the key speaker. The session was titled “Product Design and Engineering for Developing a Product, a Start ups perspective”. The speaker shared the theoretical basics of what is entrepreneurship, what is product and what are its peculiarities. He talked about the meaning, importance and aspects of design through simple self explanatory examples and highlighted the steps of engineering a product through design. He also threw light on his personal journey of innovation and product development with the idea of encouraging start ups and how his start up was incubated by IIT Delhi. Showcasing his innovation called SCINTIGLO- The Appropriate Solution which is a medical device for affordable detection of several kidney related disorders through urine analysis, he shared its Unique Selling Preposition or USP, its utility and shared information on the various evolutionary versions of the product with their advancing features. The talk was highly informative and proved to be a rich learning experience for students aspiring to be entrepreneurs.

Dr. Madhuri lauded the efforts of Indian Army during the current corona crisis and said that the first quarantine facility was set up by the army. The army and corona warriors have multi dimensional roles to play that of soldiers, counselors, teachers, doctors etc. Dr. Abhay Jere shared that Dr. Madhuri was the only woman in army promoted to 3 star General rank. He asked her to provide her insights on how she maintained work life balance to which she responded that right prioritization worked for her. Support from spouse and other family members too have a role to play. She stated that today the environment is more congenial for women to work in army. She gave the example of women friendly measures like six month maternity leave. Today women are ready to assume combat roles which is possible at the level of women themselves- their attitudes, initiatives and at the level of the organization which is more women accepting now for such roles. In the final analysis it is not gender but capability that matters. She spoke at length about her posting related experiences in Kashmir valley and emphasized that for converting the youth sentiment to a pro India one, integration into mainstream was the solution. She discussed the “sadhbhavna” initiative of the army in the valley where they were running training centre for women, health camps etc.
The discussion was motivational not just for female but male students as well with the final message on determination and will being the root cause of success.    
With this particular session in the series the MHRD initiative of generating and issuing certificates for participants attending the session after filling the feedback form was welcomed by students and faculty alike.

on May 1, 2020 at 09:00 PM (IST). The guest speaker for the session was Prof. (Dr.) V.V. Chari, Professor of Liberal Arts, Department of Economics, University of Minnesota, USA and an adviser at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. He was also the Founding Director of the Heller-Hurwicz Economics Institute.  He has served on the Board of Editors of many journals, including Econometrica, the Journal of Economic Literature and the Journal of Economic Perspectives.

Prof. Chari shared some great insights about the world economy post- CoVid- 19. He shared his opinions and believes that medium range planning for economies post- CoVid- 19 is going to be extremely turbulent as after effects of lockdown will be much visible in the short and medium terms, however he is positive that recovery may happen in the long run. He also appreciated the Indian Central Government and added that India is not actually one big economy but a compilation of many smaller economies in the sense that economy of Maharashtra is much different from that of Tamil Nadu and Delhi, and hence once size fits all is not the way to go certainly. The session was interactive and enlightening with many queries of participants that Prof. Chari handled very nicely.

It was a great learning today to see wonderful participation of about 70 Faculty Members in this FDP organized by Dept. of IT & UG Campus at ITS Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad. Today the renowned Resource Persons presented deep insights of various dimensions in context of Post COVID-19 scenario. These were really enlightening sessions by the Resource Persons including:

During the Sessions, Shri Anil Trigunayat enlightened the participants about the International Relations and paradigm shift in Power & Economic dimensions in special reference to India. It was highly interactive and enlightening session.

Prior to this Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, ITS - The Education Group, Ghaziabad, in his Welcome Address, while welcoming the Guests, spoke about the impact of COVID-19 on across the organizations, emergence of forced digital transformation and how it can be translated into opportunities.

Shri Pankaj Gupta discussed the impact on IT Operations in businesses and the on Post COVID-19 and talked about various dimensions, challenges and beginning of New Normal.

Shri Upkar Singhji in his address talked in greater detail on Post COVID-19 scenario and how the Organization’s functioning, Technology and organizational work culture is expected to be challenged. He talked in detail about various aspects of Technology and its impact on businesses and paradigm shift in existing processes, functions and conventional systems to entirely new.

Dr. M.P. Singhji discussed about Soft Computing and related Research Areas. He addressed various issues and provided a detailed coverage on Deep Learning.​ 

Day-2:
2nd Day On-line Faculty Development Program on “Changing New Normal in Post COVID-19 Scenario for Education, Technology & Businesses” started today, i.e. on 2nd May, 2020. It was a great learning today to see wonderful participation of about 70 Faculty Members in this FDP organized by Dept. of IT & UG Campus at ITS Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad. Today the renowned Resource Persons presented deep insights of various dimensions in context of Post COVID-19 scenario. These were really enlightening sessions by the Resource Persons including:

Day-3:
3rd  day of FDP witnessed wonderful conversation and engaging discussion on VUCA World and different types f challenges being poised in Post COVID-19 scenario irrespective of verticals and domains. Mr. Archie Jackson, Sr. Director INCEDO Inc. and Dr. S.C. Yadav, Professor & Head, Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi presented their perspectives.

Director Management Dr. Vidya Sekhri share her opening remarks with the participants by highlighting the emerging need and understanding of Virtual Communication and Technical tools for the smooth conduct of Online Education.
The participants were made familiar with the virtual Communication and virtual meetings. The Rules and Guidelines to carry out effective virtual meetings were also discussed. To make participants confident to conduct Virtual meetings the demonstration of Online Platforms like Google meet and Zoom was given by Prof. Yachna Malhotra by using both laptop and their Smart phones.

To overcome the challenges during this pandemic phase of Covid-19, I.T.S Ghaziabad is taking all the initiatives by using the technology to make its employees up-skill and effective virtual communicators as well.

The guest speaker for the session was Ms. Janaki Sreenivasan, HR Consultant, Yog Business solutions. She enlightened participants about the significance and role of employer branding for the labor markets and companies. It not only makes a company a good employer but also helps your recruiting team attract and improve the talent pool of applicants as well. Participants enquired about ways and methods for personal branding as well which were maneuvered by the speaker encouragingly. The entire session was filled with a lot of interaction and queries from the participants. It was a very interesting and lively session.

The guest speaker for the session was Prof. (Dr.) Alok Kumar Pandey, Director, IMS, lal Kuan, Ghaziabad. Prof. Pandey has a glorious career spanning close to 25 years, serving in senior academic & administrative positions in premier institutions in the private sector and Government of India. These include Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM) Delhi, Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad, National Institute of Financial Management (Ministry of Finance-Govt. of India) and Institute of Cost Accountants of India (Statutory Body under Ministry of Corporate Affairs-Govt. of India) where he served as Director of Advanced Studies.

Prof. Pandey endearingly talked about the impact of CoVid-19 on the Financial sector including, insurance, banking and capital & financial markets. He enlightened participants about the upcoming challenges to the SME sector, which will be the one to face enormous challenges recovering from the repercussions of national wide lockdown. He also talked about the monetary and fiscal policy which has undergone changes and adjustments and how these changes may help the economy to come back on track but gradually. The session was undoubtedly very lively and inspiring. All the participants also received e- certificates for participation.

Cyber security is a challenge not only for any particular sector or industry but all inclusive. Every business in present contemporary era, is largely dependent on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and with it come the risks associated with web security. The eminent speakers in this session were from different sectors including healthcare, banking and education. Mr. Deepak Talwar, Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM National Council on Cyber Security & National Security Officer, Microsoft was the moderator for the session including Mr. Debasish Mukherjee, Vice President Regional Sales (APAC), Sonicwall, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Rana, Senior Vice President RBEF, Amity, Mr. Arvind Sivaramakrishnan, Group CIO, Apollo Hospitals, Mr. Sameer Ratolikar, EVP & CISO, HDFC Bank, and Mr. Shivkumar Pandey, Group Chief Information Security Officer, BSE Ltd.as guests speakers.

Prof. Ajay Rana talked about why education industry is much more vulnerable to cyber hacking. He highlighted that education sector in India uses obsolete technology and lack specialized know how or knowledge about cyber security. He talked about the criticality of the information that we all share over the Internet. Every information we share has the potential to be hacked and used in undesirable manner. Keeping in mind, we must be vigilant and informed about multiple types of cyber risks. He also shared steps in the process of mitigation cyber security risks.  Mr. Arvind Sivarmakrishnan talked about the challenges of cyber risk in healthcare sector which is when actively fighting with CoVid-19 with all their mettle, cyber security is another enormous challenge for the industry. He insisted that cyber security is not just about technology and it’s know- how but also securing in terms of people, policies and programs. He highlighted the issue to ignorance or little awareness and that could be overcome by designing a curriculum around cyber security. He wonderfully spoke about how privacy and security must be inculcated at school and higher education level as other concepts are taught and then only it will come in people behavior and practice. It is an act of responsibility which has to be rationally adhered to. And lastly, Mr. Debasish Mukherjee talked about Boundless Cyber security model which companies can adopt for cyber security management. He also explained the journey of boundless cyber security with much precision and enthusiasm. The session was indeed very insightful and inspiring.

Prof. Parul Gupta attended a webinar on “Economic Impact of the Corona Virus: CEO View” organized by AIMA. The panel discussion had Mr Sanjay Kirloskar, President, AIMA. Mr Harsh Pati Singhania, Sr Vice President, AIMA and Mr Mohandas Pai, Past President, AIMA as eminent panelists.

The panel discussed the various challenges for business which have emerged due to the corona pandemic. The speakers deliberated specifically about the sectors like automobile, education and SMEs and the respective obstacles which have emerged in current scenario. The speakers also highlighted the various steps which the Government of India should take to mitigate the impact of Covid19 on the economy as a whole.
