2019-21 Batch by Mr. Saurabh Trivedi- Co-Founder & Director - Boudhik Ventures Pvt. Ltd. on the topic “How to start your entrepreneurship journey" on 14th December, 2020.
Mr. Saurabh Trivedi has mentioned that for any entrepreneur, the route from idea to established business is a long and winding one. He said that every business starts with something. It might be an idea, a thing, a world-changing product or a smart enhancement to something which already exists.
Mr Saurabh also added that whether inspired by a compelling dream or mounting exasperation with the products currently available, before departing on the entrepreneurial journey, it is worth being reminded of the sometimes harsh rules of the road that most opportunities are not what they appear to be.
Most of them have at least one fatal flaw that renders them vulnerable to all sorts of difficulties to overcome this Mr . Trivedi has emphasised to have 5 steps process for the entrepreneurial journey- Having Right mindset- Being honest -Don’t try to be someone else - finding a mentor & partner- putting 100% commitment.
The session was very participative. There were various queries from the student’s side, regarding the entrepreneurship, venture capital, idea generation etc. The Session was concluded by honouring Mr. Saurabh Trivedi with a virtual plaque and a special vote of thanks was given to him.
Virtual Industry Visit organized for MBA I (2020-22 Batch)

Department of Management I.T.S. Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organized a virtual industry visit to Yakult, Sonepat, Haryana for the students of MBA (2020-22)
batch on 08th & 11th December, 2020 respectively. The objective of the visit was to provide the newly admitted batch a unique learning exposure by closely observing the functioning of the plant.
The virtual session began with a detailed explanation about the company and its product, followed by a foray into the entire processing of Yakult. The company representative Mr. Tushar described the marketing strategies which Yakult has adopted to increase its customer base during the current pandemic situation. He also explained how Yakult is working to expand its operations in the untapped markets of India. The students found the session highly informative and engaging and raised many queries which were duly answered by the representative from PR Department Mr. Aadish.

The Virtual Orientation “Aarambh 2020” for MBA 2020-2022 at I.T.S Mohan Nagar
commenced with inaugural session where experts from industry shared their experience with the students. The Chief Guest of the day was Mr. Ashish Chandra- CEO and Managing Director, Airtel, Sri Lanka; Guests of Honor were Mr. Avneet Gupta- Associate Director - FSS, South ESU, IBM India Private Limited; Dr Srinivas Chanduru- Founder- Vans Group; and Mr Sandeep Dhar- President Hexaware Technologies.
At the beginning of the inaugural programme, Director- Management, Dr. Vidya Sekhri welcomed all the guests and shared her words of inspiration with the students. The session was kickstarted by Dr Srinivas Chanduru- Founder- Vans Group sharing his life journey and challenges with the audience. He enlightened the participants with important lessons of honesty, integrity and commitment in his unique story telling way.Mr. Sandeep Dhar- President Hexaware Technologies, shared his experiences of challenging situations and how he was able to cope with them. He explained to the participants the importance of being humble and polite. Mr. Avneet Gupta- Associate Director - FSS, South ESU, IBM India Private Limited shared his life mantras with the students for their professional journey in the years to come. The Chief guest of the day, Mr. Ashish Chandra- CEO and Managing Director, Airtel, Sri Lanka elaborated upon the essential skills and abilities including resilience, emotional sensitivity, creativity and patience which the students need to be develop to be successful in their personal as well as professional lives.
Another session of the day was an interaction with the alumni where the stalwarts from previous batches of MBA interacted with students, shared their experiences, and answered various queries of the new students. They oriented the new student with the expectations of corporates from new graduates. Department of I.T organized five days Online Orientation Programme of its newly, admitted 24thbatch of MCA (2020-2022) from 20th November to 24th November, 2020.
On 20th November, 2020 the students were addressed by eminent speakers including Sh. Upkar Singh ,Director Technology, FIS, Global, Noida, Mr. Ram Janam Singh, Principal Software Engineer, Microsoft Corp.,Redmond, Washington & MCA Alumni (2003 batch), Mr. Yogesh Tiwari,(MCA 2001 Batch), Program Manager-Support Functions, ALSTOM Transport and Mr. Manjim Mukul, MCA Alumni (2000-03 Batch), Associate Director, KPMG, Singapore.
In the beginning Chairperson-MCA, Prof. Puja Dhar and Coordinator-MCA, Prof. Smita Kansal welcomed the new students of MCA and wished them best luck for new journey of learning at I.T.S.
While addressing the students Sh. Upkar Singh ,Director Technology, FIS, Global, Noida took the session and very nicely explained about the VUCA world which means Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity. He also advised students to follow 10-E Keys starting from Enthusiasm to enjoying the successful life. He also advised that we should blend humour in our work environment. He very nicely explained about the journey from comfort zone to growth zone. He advised students that we should program according to what we see and hear. We should generate our thoughts and we should program ourselves in such a manner that so that it can result in excelling your goals.
While addressing the students ,Mr. Ram Janam Singh, Principal Software Engineer, Microsoft Corp.,Redmond, Washington& MCA Alumni (2003 batch) advised Students to be updated as per the expectations of industry .He said that Students who want to work in Web framework they can start learning UI/Angular JS/ Node JS latest technologies. They can also think about ML/AI/IoT. Students may also take Python which supports ML capability. He talked about all the demanding technologies as the per the corporate demand.
While addressing the students Mr. Yogesh Tiwari,(MCA 2001 Batch), Program Manager-Support Functions, ALSTOM Transport advised students that they should know about themselves. They should be aware about buzzwords in current IT Market. He very nicely explained about the Art of Project Management. He also emphasized on having the knowledge of Algorithms.
Mr. Manjim Mukul, (MCA 2000-03 Batch), Associate Director, KPMG, Singapore talked about the Digital cyber security, cyber strategy, data loss Prevention, Cyber Transformation. He advised students to work on the basic fundamentals of all the subjects they study during their MCA course. He also shared his experience when he was student of MCA at I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad.
On 21st November students were blessed to listen the eminent Guests including Prof.(Dr.) M.M Pant, Former Pro-Vice Chancellor, IGNOU andFounder & Chairman- PlanetEDU, Lt. Col. Prashant Mishra, Vice President, Tata Communications and Maj Gen. Shashi Asthana.
While addressing the students Director-IT, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey said that Department always provide the Opportunity to students of MCA to work on Industry Projects during studies. In house Skill Development Cell for overall development and Placement preparation modules. He said that Department of I.T. is fortunate to have eminent speakers from industry and academia who will address the new members of MCA Programme during the Online Orientation Programme.
While addressing the students of MCA ,Dr.M.M.Pant talked about the shaping minds for the new millennium. He said that success happens when preparation meets opportunities. He also discussed about the Top 10 skills of year 2021 and technology mega trends in the 5th Industrial revolution.
Lt. Col. Prashant Mishra, Vice President, Tata Communications and Maj Gen. Shashi Asthana wished students best luck for the new beginning. They shared their experiences and advised students to work on the basic concepts from day one of this journey.Students were advised that they should not keep quiet in the class, they should ask questions and they should develop curiosity and passion within them. It will help them in building confidence and communication skills and scoring well too. It is important to be helpful to others to build trust and work for the betterment of our Country which much required during these pandemic situation
On 23rdNovember, 2020 new members of ITS Parivar were addressed by Yogi (Dr.) Amrit Raj, Rishikesh, Haridwar and Shri. Rahul Mishra, Cyber Security Advisor - UP Police.
Dr. Amrit Raj while addressing the students said that while performing yoga we always feel energetic and positive waves enters our body . He also advised everyone that we should always be thankful to God for giving us healthy and happy life. He said that we should stay positive and happy always .We should appreciate the efforts of birds, animals which they do for us. And we should not forget to respect our parents/ teachers and our friends too.
While addressing the students Shri. Rahul Mishra, Cyber Security Advisor - UP Policediscussed about the UPI-Fords. He said that sometimes we are very casual about sharing our account details with some unknown who pretends to be our bank official. We should avoid searching the customer care number via Google because as Sir said that using SEO hackers can keep their contact details can be at the top. We should be aware about E-Sim card frauds and we should be alert & Aware about safe internet banking and should take care before installing any App and person should report on the same day if any cyber-crime is happened with him/her. We should take care while we are on Social Media.
On 24thNovember, 2020 students were addressed by eminent Guestsincluding Shri Arvind Thakur, Member, Board of Management, NIIT University & Former Vice Chairman and Managing Director,NIIT Technologies Ltd. and Mr. Shailendra Malik (MCA Alumni-2001 Batch ), Sr. Project Head, HCL Technologies, London, UK.
While addressing the students Sh. Arvind Thakur advised students to focus on basic and at the same time they have to be aware about the new technologies. He said that communication is very important to express our knowledge & creativity. Skills are important as it is requirement of industry and at the same time we should build learning attitude and discipline is also important. He emphasised on the reskilling which is important for the survival in IT industry.
During every session students asked many questions which were nicely handled by all the speakers. Overall the Online Orientation Programme was interactive and full of learning.

commenced with a Guest Talk on the focal theme of “Managing Disruptions and Re-designing Lifestyle” by Colonel Anil Kumar Sharma. Mr. Sharma shared vivid experiences from his military career with the students and explained how a leader’s role is transformational and transitional in different situations. Col. Sharma is a renowned motivation speaker who instilled a great deal of enthusiasm in the students for a better tomorrow. The session was highly engaging and his old stories from the battles of Kargil simply made the session interesting. Director- Management Dr.Vidya Sekhri presented him with a virtual plaque as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
The Guest Session was followed by an interaction of the students with Director-Management, Dr. Vidya Sekhri. Dr. Vidya Sekhri in her address shared several success stories with the students. Every story had a brilliant life altering message for the students. The session was highly interactive, as the students got a chance to express themselves. Many students shared their dreams and their career goals.
The post lunch session introduced to the new students, functional clubs which are run at by the Management department with the objective of all- round development of the students. The students of 2019-2021 batch gave a brief presentation of their respective clubs highlighting the guidelines and norms to the new students.
Day 2 of the Orientation session came to an end with a small session wherein the students expressed their expectations from the MBA Program. Their queries were duly answered by Prof. Parul Gupta (Coordinator- MBA First Year) and Dr. Surendra Tiwari (Chairperson- MBA Program)

I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad is organizing a Virtual Orientation Program “Aarambh-2020” to welcome the new MBA Batch of 2020-2022.
The first day of the session commenced with a familiarisation session for the students where they were introduced to the MBA Program and its various tenets. Dr Vidya Sekhri, Director Management addressed the new batch and encouraged the students to be more enthusiastic so as to be prepared to meet the challenges of the Corporate Life. This session gave then brief inputs about the curriculum and the program structure. All the faculties were briefly introduced by the Area Chairpersons. Students were given information about Library, Computer labs,CRC and APO. The students were made familiar to the various resources present in I.T.S which will facilitate their journey for the next two years.
The familiarisation session was followed by a Guest Talk. The Speaker for the session was Mr. Rajeev Bhadauria, Managing Partner, Ebullient Consultancy LLP&Ex-Board of Director Jindal Steel and Power Limited. Mr. Rajeev took a very stimulating session and provided the students with a clear understanding of how they can cope with the challenging times which lies before them.The focal them of the session was “Tackling disruptions and Implementing change”. Mr. Rajeev explained the entire process of Change Management in a very lucid manner and at the same he gave the guru mantra of celebrating failures. Director-Management presented him with a virtual plaque as a token of gratitude.
The post lunch session was the Ice Breaking Session. This session gave the new students achance to introduce themselves and become familiar with each other. The self-introduction was followed by a set of activities organised so as to make them more comfortable with each other.
All the sessions were interactive and were thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

for the MBA-III (2019-21) students on “Talent Acquisition And Performance Management (A Strategic Approach In Current Scenario). The expert talk was delivered by MR. SHESHAV GUPTA, Head Human Resource Landmark Group (E-Commerce).
Mr. Sheshav is a creative thinker with expertise in balancing people needs with the goals and mission of the organization through enhanced performance management. He has experience in partnering with business leaders to achieve business excellence. He is well versed in HRBP, talent acquisition, talent management, succession planning, employee relation and retention.
The objective of the expert talk was to provide deep insights to HR students about the key issues in talent planning, identifying and assessing high-potential talent in current scenario and redesigning the performance & reward system in current scenario.
The session started with a warm welcome address of the guest by Dr Vivek Pachauri (I.T.S HR faculty- Management Department). Followed by welcome address, the guest started the session by briefly telling about the different retail formats of landmark group. He highlighted on the need of HR as Business Partners in an organization. He mentioned that HR is an enabling function and not just a support function. He talked in detail about talent planning and its lifecycle process of four stages that include talent acquisition, talent development, talent planning and talent reward. He shared some insightful concepts of HR FOR HR, 9 BOX MODEL, Balanced Score Card Model and the shift of organizations towards flat system from a bell curve philosophy. One of the most interesting was the ABCD MODEL (A- achievement, B-benefits, C- concerns, D- do next) which will help the HR develop in an organization. He embedded all the concepts with his exhaustive experiences in the industry as an HR specialist that helped the students to connect with the topics. At last he ended his talk by highlighting on the statement for HR i.e. “No Generalist only Specialist”.
The session was attended by actively interacting participants. There were many queries raised by the students which were judiciously satisfied by the speaker. At the end of the session Prof Ritu Saxena (I.T.S HR Faculty, Management Department) offered virtual plaque to Mr. Sheshav Gupta as a token of remembrance and gratitude with a formal thanks.

students on “Brand Management in Retailing” by Mr Ajay Chhabra, Senior Digital Transformation Consultant & Marketing Head India- Global Consumer Brand on 07th November, 2020.
Mr Ajay has around 20+ years of experience in Digital Consulting, Brand Mgt & CRM. He has strong experience in working directly with the practice leaders with respect to branding and digital marketing. He very vividly shared about retailing and how it has been shifting gears during COVID-19. He aligned the concepts of e-commerce with various examples from the industry. He supported his arguments with facts and figures on e-commerce. He talked about the relevance of retail branding in Reliance, Tata group and Amazon. The growth segments in retail, like, healthcare products, home essentials, immunity products were discussed. His exhaustive experience with multiple digital marketing agencies including OgilvyOne & McCann MRM Worldwide has been more on the retail branding activities. He supported and justified the fast growing e-commerce market in India with contemporary facts and figures. Students were highly inquisitive to ask questions on e-commerce and overall retailing process in India and across the globe. The session was highly interactive and interesting.

A Corporate Talk was conducted for the students of MBA (2019-21) batch students by Department of Management, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad in the area of with theme of “An opportunity of Recalibration”.
The Corporate talk was given by Mr. Anuj Saxena, Co-Founder and Director, Skootr Global Pvt Ltd.
Mr. Anuj Saxena said that it has become challenging for most businesses to keep their financial wheels turning during the lockdown period due to less revenue churn and the general uncertainty in the global financial environment. He added that organizations need to transit seamlessly to ensure growth and the answer for the changing business scenario is to be innovative and recalibrate the ecosystem.
He further explained how the ripple effect of this shutdown will have a key impact on India’s economy, as all business sectors get affected resulting in low revenue generation due to an eventual halt/slump on the sale of products and/or services.
He further said that it is unfortunately, the impact on start-ups or small businesses can be way more brutal as they have scarcer cash reserves and a smaller margin for managing sudden slumps. He said that to ensure the healthy organisation and learning culture you need to develop robustness and adaptability in the organisation. Session ended with the presentation of digital plaque to the Mr. Anuj Saxena.
Celebration of “Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai

There were many who used to think that a diverse country like India can never remain united. It will fall apart. But, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel showed how it is done.
We should learn how to grow from strength to strength, how to always stay united. Sardar Patel used Kautilya's wisdom and Shivaji Maharaj's bravery to achieve the great feat of uniting India after partition. He did something that was unparalleled. From Kutch to Kohima, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Sardar Patel united the country.
He was the first Home Minister of Independent India and his uncompromising efforts towards consolidation of the country earned him the title ‘Iron Man of India’.
To pay him a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Department of I.T, I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad celebrated his birth anniversary via online mode on 31st October, 2020.
Director-IT, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey while addressing the students said that we should not wait for this day to remember our duty towards country, but we should always be ready to make our country pride and students should come forward to make this day a memorable one.
While addressing the students Chairperson-MCA, Prof. Puja Dhar and Coordinator-MCA, Prof. Smita Kansal said that we should salute the personality like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his contribution towards our country.
Registrar- ITS, Mohan Nagar, Sh. R C Sharma also addressed the students and said that students should always be united to make our country pride .

Alumni Talk on CREATE OPPORTUNITIES,DON’T WAIT FOR THEM for MBA students

Department of Management I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organized alumni talk on the topic “Create opportunities, don’t wait for Them” for MBA 3rd semester(2019-21)students on 31st October 2020.
The Guest speaker of the session was Mr.Ravi Bhatt who is the Senior Project Manager at HP WW Studio and he is alumni of batch 2005-2007 batch.
The session started with the welcome address of Director Management Prof.(Dr.) Vidya Sekhri . She suggested the students to grab the opportunities to become successful in this pandemic as well as she welcomed the Guest speaker with great enthusiasm.
Mr.Ravi Bhatt delivered a very motivating and inspiring session where he shared the valuable lessons to the students which they should implement in their lives to be successful. He talked about personal and professional aspects that how one should focus on their career.
He added that one should not wait for the opportunity to knock the door if you find it one should grab it. He also added that one should not lose hope. He also told that one should be opportunistic by using the right mindset and one should be aware of the current scenario as it is need of the hour.
He shared his college experience as well. He also told the need and requirements for being the digital marketer with regard to current scenario and he advised the students to take the certification course for preference. He also added to BE DIGITAL GO DIGITAL. At last he also gave the mantra to be successful that “ONE SHOULD NOT BE A BOSS BUT SHOULD BE A GREAT LEADER” and should deliver the best and should be honest whatever they do.

The session started with a warm welcome of Mr Shankar by Prof. (Dr) Vidya Sekhri, Director (Management). In her opening remarks, Dr Sekhri said, that COVID-19 is significantly impacting businesses and the world economy. It presented significant challenges to people and organizations around the globe and the disruption continues to evolve. Organizations particularly in India are now trying to mobilize, stabilize and return to work path again
Mr. V Shankar shared his experiences and approaches to manage businesses in prevailing COVID-19 scenario. He said that Covid -19 has swept the globe, spreading uncertainty and disorder wherever it goes. I.T.S School of Management organized an online Expert Talk on “Cyber Security & Cloud Computing” for PGDM and MBA (IT Specialization) Students on 22nd October 2020. Director (Management) Dr. Vidya Sekhri welcomed the Guest and enlightened whole audience.
Expert for the session was Mr. David Linthicum – Chief Cloud Strategy Officer , Deloitte Consulting (Cloud Computing Pioneer, Innovative Executive, Best-Selling Author and Speaker, Globally Known Technology Thought Leader, Radio, TV, and Podcast Personality) (McLean , Ashburn, Virginia, United States) .
David Linthicum was named one of the top 9 Cloud Pioneers in Information Week 7 years ago, but started his cloud journey back in 1999 when he envisioned leveraging IT services over the open internet. Dave was named the #1 cloud influencer via a major report by Apollo Research, and is typically listed as a top 10 cloud influencer, podcaster, and blogger.
Mr. David is a cloud computing thought leader, executive, consultant, author, and speaker. David has been a CTO five times for both public and private companies and a CEO two times in his 35 year career. He is credited with creating 4 billion dollars in shareholder return in those roles. With more than 13 books on computing, more than 7,000 published articles, more than 700 conference presentations, and numerous appearances on radio and TV programs, David has spent the last 30 years leading, showing, and teaching businesses how to use resources more productively and innovate constantly.
The session started with Cyber Security importance and role. The speaker also discussed the attack methods and threats in cyber operations. He also shared the various measures about cloud computing and how cloud secure the data of individual or company. He also emphasized on what the use of API in cloud computing. Mr. David Linthicum gave a very motivating, inspiring session where he gave important and valuable lessons to the students. He introduced about the various aspects of cloud computing and the whole IAM (Identity and Access Management) process.
The key learning of the session was the whole concept of Cyber security, Cloud Computing and also the introduction of AI in it. Overall session was full of motivation, interactive and students raised many questions.
Towards the end of the session, Director (Management) Dr. Vidya Sekhri presented a vote of thanks to the speaker.
Financial Awareness and Consumer Training (FACT) programme held on 20th October, 2020

E-Cell, Department of IT, organized an online Financial Awareness and Consumer Training (FACT) programme for students of MCA, BCA and BBA on 20th October, 2020
at 11:00 AM via Zoom platform. This program was the initiative of the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE), a body promoted by RBI, SEBI, IRDAI and PFRDA with the objective to promote Financial Education across India for all sections of the population. Financial Awareness and Consumer Training (FACT) is a programme by NCFE to provide financial education to young graduates and post graduates, on topics relevant to them, which will positively impact their financial well-being. Dr. Arjun Kumar Solanki from NCFE was the resource person of the program.
Following topics were discussed during the session:

- Responsible use of credit card: How to avoid overusing credit card and get fraud purchase protection?
- Education loan borrowing principles : Relaxations and repayment strategies of education loan

- Let's go cashless: Different modes of digital payments and Know-how of these modes
- Your first pay cheque: How to manage your income?
- How to set the Financial Goals?
The program was beneficial for the students as soon as they graduate and join the workforce and take on more financial obligations for the first time, they will be aware of their rights and responsibilities as financial consumers. Total 108 participants attended the session and the session was very interactive. Students enjoyed the session.
