Dr. Manoj Kr. Jha, Professor of I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad attended the Yamuna Manthan 2025 conference organized by the MAS Council for Water and River (MCWR) on July 11, 2025, at Dr. Ambedkar International Center, 15 Janpath, New Delhi. The conference focused on sustainable development goals related to the Yamuna River and water resource management.

The event began with a welcome address by Mr. Sanjeev Roy, Founder and Director of MCWR, followed by an inaugural address from Dr. Anshuman, Director of Water Resources at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). Distinguished speakers included Dr. Akito Takahashi, Senior Representative of JICA India Office, who presented Japan's water and river management blueprint and its applicability to the Indian context. Mr. T.B.N. Singh, Member of the Central Ground Water Board, Government of India, shared insights on the government's master plan for water management and environmental control. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. BalakrishnaPisupati, Head of UNEP India Office, who emphasized the global significance of river conservation efforts.

The conference featured two panel discussions on "Floodplain Development, River Health and Community" and "Maa Yamuna SwachhAbhiyan." These sessions witnessed active participation from representatives of academics, social service organizations, civil society groups, NGOs, and national and international educational institutions. A Faculty Development Program (FDP) on the theme "Pathway to NAAC Accreditation: Understanding Framework and Assessment" was successfully conducted on July 10, 2025 for the faculty members of BPT Department at I.T.S College of Health & Wellness Sciences, Greater Noida.

The session was jointly facilitated by Dr. V. N. Bajpai and   Dr. Ashish Kumar Jha from I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad who provided detailed insights into the evolving structure of NAAC accreditation, its assessment methodology, and the qualitative and quantitative metrics used in evaluating higher education institutions.

The FDP aimed to enhance faculty understanding of NAAC's seven criteria, including Curricular Aspects, Teaching-Learning and Evaluation, Research and Innovation, Infrastructure, Student Support, Governance, and Institutional Values, with a strong emphasis on documentation, data validation, and continuous quality improvement. Faculty members actively participated in discussions and sought clarification on critical aspects such as SSR (Self Study Report) preparation, DVV (Data Validation & Verification) process, and best practices for academic audits and benchmarking.

This FDP was highly impactful in aligning the department’s academic and administrative practices with NAAC expectations and creating a shared vision for achieving excellence in institutional performance. A successful Management Development Program (MDP) was conducted on July 05, 2025, at the premises of RACE Eco Chain Limited, Sahibabad, for its employees.

The program was expertly facilitated by Prof. Parul Gupta and Dr. Smita Barik, both Assistant Professors from the Department of Management at the Institute of Technology and Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad. This MDP was strategically designed with two core objectives: to cultivate highly motivated and cohesive teams for enhanced organizational productivity and to deepen participants' self-awareness for improved professional performance and leadership capabilities.

The MDP employed a highly interactive and activity-based approach to deliver its comprehensive content. Key activities included the use of professional assessment tools to help the 25 participating employees from various departments gain a comprehensive understanding of their individual strengths, motivators, and communication styles. Furthermore, the facilitators utilized engaging team-building exercises and collaborative simulations to effectively convey the crucial concepts of fostering strong, connected teams that are unified and driven by shared organizational objectives. The methodology was diverse and dynamic, incorporating self-reporting measures for participant profiling, case studies and storytelling to illustrate real-world scenarios, and various group exercises and discussions to ensure maximum engagement and practical learning.

As a direct result of their participation in the MDP, the employees achieved several significant positive outcomes. They gained an enhanced awareness of themselves and their colleagues, which significantly contributed to improved interpersonal understanding and more effective collaboration within their teams. I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organised a one-day specialized training program on "Team Building, Communication & Leadership" for more than 30 officers of the Uttar Pradesh Police on 28th June, 2025. The Department of Management at the Institute of Technology and Science (I.T.S), Ghaziabad, organized a workshop titled “Excel Essentials for Decision Making: LPP, Transportation & Assignment Models” from June 10 to 13, 2025, for the MBA second semester (2024-26 batch) students. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, a faculty member at I.T.S, to enhance students’ practical understanding of quantitative decision-making tools using Microsoft Excel.

The three-day workshop focused on the application of Excel in solving managerial decision problems using Linear Programming Problem (LPP), Transportation Problem, and Assignment Problem. Students were introduced to the foundational concepts of these models, followed by hands-on training on formulating and solving them using Excel functions and the Solver add-in.

On Day 1, the session began with an introduction to Linear Programming, including its real-life applications in operations and resource optimization. Participants learned how to frame decision variables, write constraints, and define objective functions. This was followed by step-by-step demonstrations of solving LPPs in Excel using the Solver tool.

Day 2 focused on the Transportation Problem. Students practiced methods like the North-West Corner Rule, Least Cost Method, and Vogel’s Approximation Method for initial feasible solutions, and then optimized the transportation cost using Excel-based analysis. Emphasis was given to understanding supply-demand balance and cost minimization.

On Day 3, the workshop concluded with the Assignment Problem, which involved optimally assigning tasks to resources at minimal cost. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur guided students through formulating the problem in matrix form and using Excel Solver to find optimal assignments. Real-life business scenarios were used to contextualize learning and improve comprehension.

The workshop was interactive, practice-oriented, and well-received by students. It helped bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and real-world application of quantitative models. Students appreciated the hands-on approach and expressed greater confidence in using Excel as a decision-support tool.

The participants were enthusiastically involved. Such workshops play a crucial role in equipping future managers with the essential analytical skills necessary for effective decision-making. This workshop served as a bridge between theoretical and practical knowledge.

The Binary Club of the Department of Management at I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, successfully organized an engaging and creative event titled "Reelvolution 2025" on June 6, 2025, for the MBA (2024–26) Batch. The event was skilfully coordinated by Dr. Mansi Singh, Faculty Coordinator of the Binary Club (IT).

This exciting activity was designed to enhance students’ creativity, storytelling, and digital editing skills by encouraging them to create short, impactful videos using AI-based tools and video editing applications.

The event was conducted in two rounds:

Round 1 featured a video-making competition in which several teams created 2–3 minute videos on the theme "College Life" using various editing and AI-based applications. Based on creativity, clarity of message, and technical execution, two teams were shortlisted for the final round.

Round 2 was an app-based puzzle challenge, where the selected participants from the finalist teams competed individually. They were required to solve logic-driven tech puzzles within a limited time. This round tested their quick thinking, reasoning, and familiarity with interactive digital platforms.

The event was judged by Prof. Samiksha Budakoti, who appreciated the participants' innovation, creativity, and enthusiasm.
