I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad Organizes Special Lecture by DR. R.P Singh IPS (Retd) on Leadership & crisis Management

I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized an insightful lecture and interactive session under the prestigious I.T.S Samvaad Series on the theme ”Leadership & crisis Management"
 

 

 on 21st April 2026. The session featured DR. R.P Singh IPS (Retd), Former Director General of Police (Training Directorate) – UP, Former Deputy Director General – Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), New Delhi, and an expert associated with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and Special Investigation Team (SIT), as the distinguished speaker.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before the idol of Goddess Saraswati by distinguished speaker Dr. R. P. Singh; Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey, Director, I.T.S Mohan Nagar; and Dr. Nancy Sharma, Principal, I.T.S UG Campus.
In his welcome address, Dr Sunil Kr Pandey highlighted the importance of leadership qualities and crisis-handling abilities in today’s dynamic world. He stated, “Leadership is not only about taking charge during good times, but also about making responsible decisions during difficult situations. Students must develop resilience, discipline, and problem-solving abilities to become effective leaders of tomorrow.” He further emphasised that educational institutions play a vital role in nurturing confident, ethical, and socially responsible individuals.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. R.P. Singh  shared valuable insights from his vast experience in policing, training, and crisis management. He remarked, “True leadership is tested during challenging situations. A leader must remain calm, decisive, and focused while guiding others through uncertainty.” He also highlighted that crisis management requires preparation, presence of mind, teamwork, and strong communication skills. Encouraging students to prepare themselves for leadership roles, he added, “Young minds have the potential to bring positive change in society through courage, integrity, and commitment.”
The session was attended by faculty members, staff, and more than 250 students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, during which speakers encouraged the youth to develop leadership qualities, remain confident in crises, and contribute positively to society and nation-building.

Workshop on “IoT and Sensor Programming” by the MCA Department of ITS Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad

A workshop on “IoT and Sensor Programming” was organized by the Programming Club of the Department of IT at the Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad on 18th April 2026. The session aimed to provide participants with both theoretical understanding and practical exposure to Internet of Things (IoT) concepts and sensor-based applications.

The workshop was conducted by Prof. Abhay Kumar Ray along with MCA alumni Abhishek Kapur and Love Kumar. They introduced students to IoT architecture, components such as sensors, actuators, and controllers, and explained real-world applications including smart homes, healthcare systems, industrial automation, and smart cities.

A key highlight of the workshop was the hands-on simulation using Tinkercad, where participants learned sensor programming (distance and temperature sensing). The speakers also discussed industry applications, career opportunities, and the growing demand for IoT professionals.Overall, the workshop was informative and interactive, benefiting 26 participants.

Department of MBA successfully organises Young Talent Hunt 2026

The Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, successfully organized the Young Talent Hunt (YTH) – 2026, an inter-college quiz competition aimed at fostering academic excellence, analytical thinking, and competitive spirit among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation at multiple levels, making it a grand academic celebration.

The competition began at the college level, where approximately 4,500 students from 71 colleges participated in the preliminary round. After a rigorous selection process, the most talented participants advanced to the final round. The Grand Finale, held on 17th April 2026, featured 250 students representing 50 colleges, showcasing exceptional knowledge across diverse domains including Sports, Politics, Entertainment, History, and Business.

The event was conducted in a highly engaging and professional manner, reflecting the dedication and teamwork of faculty members and student coordinators. The quiz not only tested knowledge but also encouraged quick thinking, accuracy, and confidence among participants.

The winners of YTH–2026 are as follows:

First Prize (₹21,000): Karnal Yadav – MM College, Khekra

Second Prize (₹15,000): Akansha Joshi – DJ Dental College,

Third Prize (₹10,000): Saurabh Rana – MMH College, Ghaziabad

Additionally, seven participants were awarded Consolation Prizes (₹2,000 each):
Abhishek Kumar (Shambhu Dayal PG College), Anamika (Manyavar Kashiram Govt Degree College), Sapna (MMH College), Ankit (Shambhu Dayal PG College), Sneha (Mihir Bhoj Balika Degree College), Prince Kain (Shambhu Dayal PG College), and Deeksha Tyagi (DJ Dental College).

The Department of IT at ITS Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized the second round of SAMVAD-2026, a group discussion event, on 13th April 2026 for MCA II semester students (Batch 2025–2027).

The event aimed to enhance students’ soft skills, communication abilities, and confidence, which are essential for placement preparation. The activity was conducted in the presence of eminent judges including Dr. Puja Dhar, Prof. Abhay Kr. SAMAGRA – 2026: A Grand Celebration of Talent, Technology, and Team Spirit

The Department of IT (MCA), I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, proudly organized its Inter-Institutional Techno-Cultural Fest, SAMAGRA – 2026, on 10th April 2026. The event brought together an energetic blend of technology, creativity, and cultural expression, creating a vibrant and memorable experience for all.

The fest witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 400 students representing more than 75 colleges across Delhi-NCR. Participants showcased their talents across 12 diverse events, including Programming, Algorithmic Design, IT Quiz, Model Exhibition, Fireless Cooking, Reel Making, Digital Poster Design, Blind Coding, Solo Dance, Start-up Pitch, Storytelling, and Solo Singing. The platform encouraged students to explore their potential, exchange ideas, and engage in healthy competition while building collaboration and confidence.

The program began on an auspicious note with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony before Goddess Saraswati, followed by a soulful Saraswati Vandana, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.

The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Kamlesh Sharma, a renowned poet, who was warmly welcomed by Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group, with a bouquet, shawl, and memento. In his address, Shri Arpit Chadha encouraged students to actively participate with a spirit of teamwork, emphasizing that true learning lies in collaboration and wholehearted involvement.

Dr. Kamlesh Sharma appreciated the institute’s efforts in organizing such a meaningful platform that brings students together to learn, connect, and grow. His recitation of the patriotic poem “Ram hain kitne aur praman den” deeply inspired the audience and received heartfelt applause.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey, Director, I.T.S, motivated students by highlighting that beyond winning, the courage to step forward, accept challenges, and confidently showcase one’s abilities is what truly matters.

Earlier, Prof. Saurabh Saxena, along with the organizing team—Dr. Puja Dhar, Prof. Smita Kansal, and Prof. Varun Arora—presented an overview of the event and its vision.

Dr. Parul Gupta, and Dr. Smita Barik, Assistant Professor from the department of MBA were invited as resource persons for a training program at Toshi Automation solutions Limited on April 4, 2026. 

The session on Leadership Development was designed to apprise the employees about role and responsibilities of leaders; identify leadership potential in the employees and assess the areas for future progression. The MDP was delivered through a blend of Psychometric tests, simulation exercises and game- based activities.

The MDP commenced with an energizer activity to break the participant inhibitions. This was followed by a psychometric test for identification of leadership potential as well as the focus areas that the participants can work upon for sharpening their leadership skills. The next activity focused on conflict resolution and team management skills. It highlighted how leaders can effectively manage teams and generate the desired output for the organizations. The leadership qualities of decision making and strategic planning were explained with the help of a simulation activity. Finally, a minefield activity was conducted to emphasize the importance of clear communication and team trust for a leader.

The training program witnessed overwhelming response and enthusiastic participation of all the attendees. Their energetic involvement in the activities and pertinent queries reflected the success of the training program.

The team consisting of Dhruv Kumar, Dhruv Sinha, and Piyush Kumar (MBA 1st Year) represented the institute among 16 participating teams. The competition included two challenging rounds — a pen-and-paper round followed by an exciting buzzer round. The event provided students with an excellent opportunity to showcase their knowledge, quick thinking, and teamwork while interacting with peers from various institutions.
