I.T.S Ghaziabad organised a wonderful video conferencing session on "Raising Awareness about Building Strong Immunity through Ayurveda and Yoga during Covid 19 Crisis" by Dr. Yogi Amrit Raj, from Maa Yoga Ashram, Rishikesh for it's faculty members on 5th April, 2020.
During the session Yogi Dr. Amrit Raj demonstrated various yoga techniques to build strong immunity. He talked about the use and importance of many commonly available herbs, spices and vegetables to strengthen our immunity and create positivity around us during the crisis of Covid 19.
It was a very insightful session with lots of learning and tips to make life happier and joyful.

Dr. D. K. Pandey & students of MBA-II Semester, Section-D has attended a Webinar on Legal Issues arising out of COVID19 situation with top legal luminaries on Friday, April 3, 2020 from 2:30 pm onwards organised by FICCI. The webinar was attended by more than 800 participants including law experts, corporates and academicians.
The event started with a welcome address given by Mr. Dilip Chinoy, Secretary General, FICCI. The session was conducted by Mr. Mohit Saraf, Senior Partner, L&L Partners and assisted by legal experts; Mr. Akshay Nagpal, Mr. Karan Mitroo and Mr. Vaibhav Kakkar.
The main issues discussed during e session were:
1. Force Majeure and Analysis vis-à-vis COVID-19
2. Frustration of Contract and Analysis vis-à-vis COVID-19
3. Regulatory Framework to deal with COVID 19 &
4. Impact on Commercial Contracts
The session addressed various aspects of the legal and regulatory framework and its impact on businesses in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, the speakers discussed the impact and implications of COVID-19 on various aspects such as (a) commercial contracts from the perspective of principles of ‘force majeure’ and ‘frustration’; and (b) implications from the standpoint of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 (“Epidemic Act”), the Disaster Management Act, 2005 (“DM Act”) and the Civil Defence Act, 1968 (“Defence Act”). Further, the key measures undertaken by the Government, regulatory authorities and the courts in ensuring public safety as well as minimising and preventing the spread of COVID-19 were also discussed. Number of cases were also taken by the experts to have a clear understanding of the issues and way out. Post discussion the question answer round was held to address the various related issues of the participants.

The inaugural session started by welcome speech of Director Management Dr. Vidya Sekhri. She talked about unbalanced rural and urban growth and about per capita income. She also talked about innovation, digital banking, surgery through robotics, digital banking. After that Director PR Surendra Sood give their opening remarks. He talked about technology not rule the human beings, let human beings rule the technology. He talked about how technology driven our day to day life. After that Dr. Manoj Kumar Jha briefly told about Agenda of Conference, Backdrop of Conference. He talked about social change. The conference was divided into 4 tracks. After that Prof. Sudhir k. He gave information about Manufacturing Industry of India. He told about how AI replacing human beings. After the Inaugural the Finance track started. The theme of finance track is Role of finance sector in social innovation and digital transformation headed by Deepak Tandon. Post lunch marketing track started. The theme of marketing track is to Social innovation & digitalization in Marketing. The session headed by Pradeep Kumar Agarwal. He talked about social innovation, developing and implementing promotional strategy. He talked about social marketing, Digitalization, Industry 4.0. On Day-2, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Sharma (Professor of Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida) and Prof. Sanjeev Mittal (Presently, Dean GGGIP University, New Delhi). Session started with Welcome address of Dr. V.N. Bajpai. For HR track, total Quality management as a change driver: for influencing affective commitment to change. The objective of research is to know relationship between TQM Practices and employee readiness to change. During the Valedictory ceremony Best Paper Award and Certificates were given to Participants.

The International Conference on Inventive Computing Technologies (ICICT 2020) was held at Coimbatore from 26th to 28th February 2020. It was organized by RVS Technical Campus under the aegis of IEEE.
The Inaugural Session of the conference was graced by Dr. D. Nirmal, Chair – IEEE ED Coimbatore Chapter, IEEE Madras Section. He spoke about the impact of the Internet of Things, and why it was imperative for research in this field to progress further. He also cautioned against the threat of security compromises, including the growing menace of identity theft. At the same time, he also alluded to the need for democratizing the phenomenon by involving the general population, ultimately leading to better governance practices.
The three-day conference featured several speakers and delegates from a diverse cross-section consisting of corporate practitioners, academics, research scholars and students. Papers presented covered some of the most cutting edge work in this field.
Dr. Mandal presented an empirical paper titled “Solving Bi-Objective Stage Shop Scheduling Problem by Flower Pollination Algorithm with Fuzzy Orientation”. Dr. D. Prof. Yachna Malhotra and Dr. Vivek Pachauri, faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, attended Gender Equality Summit 2020
by United Nations Global Compact Network India at The Lalit, New Delhi on 6th March 2020. The theme of the Summit “Gender Equality – A key differentiator for sustainable development.
The objective of the Summit was to align the international theme with the Indian fabric to highlight the current generation as a key driver and India Inc. as a key catalyst for gender equality. Being more aware, more connected and more vocal about gender rights, this ‘Generation Equality’ holds the potential to bring about a change from the rural entrepreneurial landscape to the formal urban workplace. GES 2020 deliberates on how the 2020 India Inc can channel this potential through its know-how and resources to magnify focus on gender equality, gender norms and gender neutrality across industries and sectors.
The Summit had four plenary sessions.
Plenary 1 was focused on “Targets of SDGs Goal No 5
Plenary 2 was on the theme UNDG’s MAPS (Mainstreaming, Acceleration and Policy Support) framework
Plenary 3 was on the theme ““Means of mainstreaming and inclusion of women in social, economic and political activities”.
Plenary 4 showcased “Compendium on Best Practices on Gender Equality in India “
The entire Summit was insightful thus provided opportunity to network and understand the corporate policies and best practices on Gender Equality. It was a great learning experience.
I.T.S Mohan Nagar organised WYSIWYG 2020- Annual PG Management Fest

INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCE, Ghaziabad held its 13th Inter - Institute Annual Management Fest “WYSIWYG”- “What You Say Is What You Gain” on 28th and 29th Feb 2020 at I.T.S – Mohan Nagar campus.
The fest is a student driven activity of the Post Graduate Management students of PGDM & MBA. The event was coordinated by Prof. Parul Gupta, Prof. Ritu Saxena, Prof. JyotsanaVaid and Prof. Charul Agarwal duly supported by Director Management Dr. Vidya Sekhri and faculty and staff of the Management Department. The event witnessed a participation of 44 institutes from Delhi- NCR. The event was sponsored by renowned corporate entities like Kwality Walls, Hero, TVS, PVR popcorn etc.
A total of 670 contestants participated in 14 categories of events. The events were Nukkad Natak, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Mehandi, Debate, Treasure Hunt, Pub-G, War of Bands, T-Shirt Painting, Fashion Bash, Solo Song, Photography and Business Quiz. In the two-day extravaganza the participants were from Lady Sri Ram College, Shyamlal College, Dayal Singh College, JIIT, Janki Devi Memorial College, Institute of Home Economics, University college of medical sciences and many other institutes of Delhi and NCR.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest for the day Director PR I.T.S- The Education Group, Shri Surinder Sood. All the guests, participants and students were welcomed by Director Management-Dr.Vidya Sekhri. The inaugural ceremony commenced with lamp lightning and culminated with many electrifying performances by the students of MBA and PGDM. The highlight of the ceremony was a heart touching dance performance by slum children of Parivartan Club- A CSR Initiative run and supported by I.T.S-The Education Group. Prof. Parul Gupta briefed everyone about the event and the program schedule.
The events of Business Quiz, Group dance, Solo dance, Photography, Debate, T- Shirt painting and Fashion Bash were organized on the first day of the Fest.
The judges for group dance was Mr. Agranshu Deep (Owner of Dance academy Prats in the House). Fashion Bash was graced by Ms. Chanchal (National Model and Brand Ambassador of DHE). Mr. A Karan (Asmita Theatre group) was the esteemed judge for the event of Nukkad Natak.
On day 2 the events of Nukkad Natak, Solo Song, Pub G, Treasure Hunt, Ad mad show and Mehandi.
All the winners were felicitated by Honourable Vice Chairman - I.T.S The Education Group Sri. Arpit Chadha Sir and Director Management Dr.Vidya Sekhri in the valedictory session marking the culmination of the two- day celebration.
Faculty presented Paper at International Conference

Prof. Shikha Arora from the Management Department presented a paper titled "Psychological contract as a structure for understanding career commitment and career advancement:
A Research Agenda" in the International Conference on Inclusive Development through Social Innovation: Opportunities and Challenges held at Army Institute of Management & Technology, Greater Noida on 28th February 2020. The esteemed panel of judges appreciated the research idea presented and also accepted the paper for publication in the AIMT Journal of Management. The Conference was inaugurated by Honourable Minister, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Jal Shakti.
The conference provided a platform to present and discuss innovative and creative research ideas and it was a good learning experience.

MARKETING-THE MERCATO CLUB organised “SUI GENERIS” for MBA students.

MARKETING CLUB-THE MERCATOorganised “SUI GENERIS” on 25 February 2020 for MBABatch 2019-21. The Major objective behind this event was to enhance the teamwork and to surmise for the budding managers.
The event had two round to compete:
1. Brain Storming- Memory-based game in which participants have to answer the questions which were related to the logos and the full form of the famous company.
2. Conjecture advertisement-The team needs to identify the advertisement through the video of the advertisement campaign.
There were certain parameters for judgment including the confidence level and the teamwork. This was the second club event for MBA 1st year and they portrayed great interest, enthusiasm, and team spirit. Students have also shown their willingness for such future activities which may further enhance their learning and enrich their experience.

Industrial visit for MBA students to National Small Industry corporation (NSIC)

Department of Management at I.T.S organized an Industrial visit to National Small Industry corporation (NSIC) Okhla on Thursday 25th February 2020.
50 MBA first year students with MBA chairperson Dr. Anusha Agarwal and Dr. Ashish Kumr Jha accompanied the students. This visit is basically focused for Entrepreneurship development of Students.
The programme started with a session by Dr. Kamini about the different facilities that are provided by NSIC to entrepreneurs. Few schemes that were highlighted were PMEGP Stand up India, Start up India and MUDRA Yogna.
After the session, all the students were taken to Incubation center of NSIC where students have been introduced with small scale industrial machine for starting the business. It was a wonderful experience by the students as they were seen and introduces with manufacturing industry and have learned the process of starting the small-scale industry.
Workshop on “Derivatives Market in India” by Mr. Sachendra Patel.

As a part of Institute-Industry interaction and academic delivery prerequisite a workshop on Derivatives Market in India by Mr. Sachendra Patel, Managing Director – GSP Capital Pvt Ltd. on 25th Feb 2020 was organised for the students of MBA -IV term students.
Mr. Sachendra Patel has a rich experience of 7 years in the field of capital markets. His academic interest includes equity analysis, derivatives markets and mutual funds.
Mr. Sachendra Patel started his conversation with students by bringing in few hard facts about Indian economy, he spoke about the size of the Indian economy and the future ahead.
He talked about how derivative segment and how this is generating lot of interest among traders and investors now a days, as the investment is very less. He said that instruments in this segment should be used as hedging tools but we surly can use them as trading tools as well.
Derivatives markets are driven by big players with financial power. These big players or HNIs who invest huge amount of money in the markets, but while investing they take the advantage of derivative segment to multiply their profits.
He also talked about the various types of margin requirement of derivatives market which can play a major role in changing the ROI of trader.
He also gave a brief overview of Mutual fund and Currency market. Session ended with a vote of thanks given by student.
‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme

Department of Management at I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad conducted ‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme on the 23rd of February, 2020.
The program started with Nikhil and Mahak holding a class on basic geometry. They began with fundamental concepts like points, the difference between a line and line segment, angles, etc. The discussion proceeded to different shapes like triangles, circles, and spheres. The learners were made to repeat the concepts learned in order to ensure proper understanding.
The next part of the day’s sessions concentrated on General Knowledge as Prabhasha and Sweta spoke to the kids about the different states in India and their capitals. As many as 21 states were covered across the length and breadth of the country. In addition to repeated questions, the children were asked to come forward and mention as many of the states and their capitals as possible. Those who did so correctly were rewarded with a pack of biscuits each.
Things rolled to an end with the distribution of Britannia Good Day biscuits and Lotte Coconut Punch toffees.

I.T.S Ghaziabad PG Management campus organized Grand Finale of Young Talent Hunt- 2020 – Annual Inter-college Quiz Competition on 20th February 2020
with huge participation of 226 students from 55 colleges of Delhi, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Hapur, Pilkhuwa, Babugarh, Sikandrabad, Dadri Bulandsher, Baghpat & nearby areas.
Level 1 of this competition was initiated in the month of September 2019 for student's graduate students at the respective colleges/institutes and concluded with a GRAND FINALE at I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad.
The mega show- GRAND FINALE- YTH-2020 kicked off in the morning of 20th February 2020 with the registration of 226 students, 26 teachers & parents from 42 participating colleges/institutes. The show started with the lamp lighting of Maa Sarawati by Vice-Chairman I.T.S -The Education Group - Shri Aprit Chadha, Director Management Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Dr. Nitin Saxena and Dr. Surendra Tiwari, Event Convener.
Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman-I.T.S -The Education Group suggested students to plan their careers in the right way. Sir pointed out that a good career can only be build when the right direction is suggested to the students at the right time.
Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director Management- I.T.S Mohan Nagar, addressed the participants in his speech he highlighted that one should not feel demotivated after losing a competition rather one should look forward to a positive aspect related to it.
Prof. Nitin Saxena presented an overview of the event and sequence of the program.
After the inaugural ceremony, three written elimination rounds were conducted. The Semifinals were conducted parallel for UP and Delhi Colleges. Quiz Master for two semi-final rounds was Ms. Shrishti (MBA 19-21), and Mr. Harshit (MBA 19-21) and for final round Ms. Astha (MBA 18-20) and Ms.Tulika (MBA 18-20).
Prof. Yachna Malhotra and Prof. Shikha Arora conducted an Employability session for the eliminated students from round 1.
Participants energized 06 finalist participants with loud applause for their out of the box skills and showcased the event as a great mix of talent, energy, and enthusiasm.
The Champion’s trophy with cash prize of Rs. 10000 was lifted by Mr. Hemant Kanwal from DN College, Meerut, Mr. Sachin Singh from Comm-IT, Delhi bagged second position with a prize money of Rs.7500, Pradeep from DSPSR grabbed third prize with cash prize of Rs.5000. The next 03 consolation cash prizes of Rs.1000 were won by Vandana Chaudhary from NAS College Meerut, Mohak Siwach from IIMT Delhi and Sheetal Pal from RGPG College Meerut.

Department of IT, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organized session on "Agile Integration in Critical to Digital Transformation” through Video Conferencing for MCA Students on Thursday, 20th February 2020
at Institute premises.Objective of this Webinar was to provide complete understanding of Powerful tools which are needed to design scalable, distributed systems that can take advantage of the agility and organizational efficiencies promised by micro services.
In this session, Mr. KhongWai Leong, Application Development Lead, Red Hat APAC discussed on the current cloud-native landscape from a technology perspective including Agile application development, importance of digital transformation. He focused on How Red Hat Fuse gives diverse users the integration solutions they need by supporting deployment in multiple environments.
Ms. Gina Smith, Research Manager, DevOps and cloud Platforms, IDC discussed on DevOps wheel, Cloud native and IDC predictions. Ms. Smith told that Cloud native is an approach to building software as containerized micro services to exploit the advantages of the agile integration model.
Session Speakers has also answered the questions after the completion of session.
It was overall good learning experience for all the participants.
