Industrial visit for MBA students to National Small Industry corporation (NSIC)

Department of Management at I.T.S organized an Industrial visit to National Small Industry corporation (NSIC) Okhla on Thursday 25th February 2020.
50 MBA first year students with MBA chairperson Dr. Anusha Agarwal and Dr. Ashish Kumr Jha accompanied the students. This visit is basically focused for Entrepreneurship development of Students.
The programme started with a session by Dr. Kamini about the different facilities that are provided by NSIC to entrepreneurs. Few schemes that were highlighted were PMEGP Stand up India, Start up India and MUDRA Yogna.
After the session, all the students were taken to Incubation center of NSIC where students have been introduced with small scale industrial machine for starting the business. It was a wonderful experience by the students as they were seen and introduces with manufacturing industry and have learned the process of starting the small-scale industry.
‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme

Department of Management at I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad conducted ‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme on the 23rd of February, 2020.
The program started with Nikhil and Mahak holding a class on basic geometry. They began with fundamental concepts like points, the difference between a line and line segment, angles, etc. The discussion proceeded to different shapes like triangles, circles, and spheres. The learners were made to repeat the concepts learned in order to ensure proper understanding.
The next part of the day’s sessions concentrated on General Knowledge as Prabhasha and Sweta spoke to the kids about the different states in India and their capitals. As many as 21 states were covered across the length and breadth of the country. In addition to repeated questions, the children were asked to come forward and mention as many of the states and their capitals as possible. Those who did so correctly were rewarded with a pack of biscuits each.
Things rolled to an end with the distribution of Britannia Good Day biscuits and Lotte Coconut Punch toffees.

Department of IT, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organized session on "Agile Integration in Critical to Digital Transformation” through Video Conferencing for MCA Students on Thursday, 20th February 2020
at Institute premises.Objective of this Webinar was to provide complete understanding of Powerful tools which are needed to design scalable, distributed systems that can take advantage of the agility and organizational efficiencies promised by micro services.
In this session, Mr. KhongWai Leong, Application Development Lead, Red Hat APAC discussed on the current cloud-native landscape from a technology perspective including Agile application development, importance of digital transformation. He focused on How Red Hat Fuse gives diverse users the integration solutions they need by supporting deployment in multiple environments.
Ms. Gina Smith, Research Manager, DevOps and cloud Platforms, IDC discussed on DevOps wheel, Cloud native and IDC predictions. Ms. Smith told that Cloud native is an approach to building software as containerized micro services to exploit the advantages of the agile integration model.
Session Speakers has also answered the questions after the completion of session.
It was overall good learning experience for all the participants.
I.T.S Ghaziabad organized Young Talent Hunt-2020

I.T.S Ghaziabad PG Management campus organized Grand Finale of Young Talent Hunt- 2020 – Annual Inter-college Quiz Competition on 20th February 2020
with huge participation of 226 students from 55 colleges of Delhi, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Hapur, Pilkhuwa, Babugarh, Sikandrabad, Dadri Bulandsher, Baghpat & nearby areas.
Level 1 of this competition was initiated in the month of September 2019 for student's graduate students at the respective colleges/institutes and concluded with a GRAND FINALE at I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad.
The mega show- GRAND FINALE- YTH-2020 kicked off in the morning of 20th February 2020 with the registration of 226 students, 26 teachers & parents from 42 participating colleges/institutes. The show started with the lamp lighting of Maa Sarawati by Vice-Chairman I.T.S -The Education Group - Shri Aprit Chadha, Director Management Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Dr. Nitin Saxena and Dr. Surendra Tiwari, Event Convener.
Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman-I.T.S -The Education Group suggested students to plan their careers in the right way. Sir pointed out that a good career can only be build when the right direction is suggested to the students at the right time.
Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director Management- I.T.S Mohan Nagar, addressed the participants in his speech he highlighted that one should not feel demotivated after losing a competition rather one should look forward to a positive aspect related to it.
Prof. Nitin Saxena presented an overview of the event and sequence of the program.
After the inaugural ceremony, three written elimination rounds were conducted. The Semifinals were conducted parallel for UP and Delhi Colleges. Quiz Master for two semi-final rounds was Ms. Shrishti (MBA 19-21), and Mr. Harshit (MBA 19-21) and for final round Ms. Astha (MBA 18-20) and Ms.Tulika (MBA 18-20).
Prof. Yachna Malhotra and Prof. Shikha Arora conducted an Employability session for the eliminated students from round 1.
Participants energized 06 finalist participants with loud applause for their out of the box skills and showcased the event as a great mix of talent, energy, and enthusiasm.
The Champion’s trophy with cash prize of Rs. 10000 was lifted by Mr. Hemant Kanwal from DN College, Meerut, Mr. Sachin Singh from Comm-IT, Delhi bagged second position with a prize money of Rs.7500, Pradeep from DSPSR grabbed third prize with cash prize of Rs.5000. The next 03 consolation cash prizes of Rs.1000 were won by Vandana Chaudhary from NAS College Meerut, Mohak Siwach from IIMT Delhi and Sheetal Pal from RGPG College Meerut.

PG Management Sports Club-STATESMAN organized Franchise Cricket League Match from 19-21st February 2020 at the ground in front of the sports complex of the institute.
Dr. V.N. Bajpai, Dr. Satish Kumar, Dr. Sanjeev Tandon, and Dr. Surendra Tiwari were the owners of 4 different teams of the Franchise. The players were auctioned and bought by the Franchise owners held recently in the Auction. Total 6 League Matches, 1 Semi-Final, and Final Matches were played.

The tournament started with an opening ceremony graced by Dr.Vidya Shekhri (Director Management), Dr. V.N. Bajpai, Dr. Satish Kumar, Dr. D.K. Pandey, Dr. Surendra Tiwari, Dr. Sanjeev Tandon, Faculty members and Sports Officer. Director Management inaugurated the event. The event started at 3:45 p.m. in the presence of a huge gathering of teams, students and faculties.

Students gathered in numbers to experience this grand event. Faculty members, as well as the owners of the teams, were completely charged up and enjoyed each and every match.

The event was a grand success. All the faculty members and students appreciated the initiative taken by the team "STATESMAN". The event came to an end at 6:00 p.m. The students enjoyed a lot with great enthusiasm and participation.

Objective of this Web Conference was to provide complete understanding of Latest trends of AI along with Machine Learning techniques. This conference was graced by presence of three Key note Speakers Mr Glenn Gore, Chief Architect, AWS; Ms. Olivier Klein, Head of Emerging
Technologies, AWS; and Mr. Dean Samuels, Lead Architect, AWS.
In this session, Mr. Glenn Gore, discussed on the key concepts of Artificial Intelligence, related use cases and best practices to learn how other organizations are using AI and Machine Learning. He focused on How AWS gives diverse users the integration solutions they need by supporting deployment in multiple environments.

Institution Innovation Council at Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized an industrial visit for MCA
IV Semester students to New Generation Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Center, EDII, DST, Govt, of India and MSME Business Incubation Center at I.T.S, Engineering College, Greater Noida on 13th February, 2020. Students were accompanied by faculty members of Department of I.T including Prof. Puja Dhar, Prof. Varun Arora, and Prof. Abhay Kumar Ray.
The visit started with a workshop on “iOS and its applications”.Students were also taken to the New Generation Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Center, EDII, DST, Govt. of India and MSME Business Incubation Center.
Coordinator of Incubation Cell also took a session about start-up and how DST and MSME help students to become an Entrepreneur. Students also visited some of the live projects which were developed by the students under DST and MSME.
At the end of the visit Director, I.T.S Engineering College, Dr. Vikas Singh congratulated all the students for attending the workshop and also briefed about the working and objective of New Gen Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Center and Incubation Center. He also distributed the certificate of participation among all the students of MCA -IV Semester.

This summit was conducted in three sessions of panel discussions in different streams of management based on Innovation and Marketing Strategies for Global Competitiveness, Innovative Financial Strategies in BFSI Sector, Human Capital for Transcending Organizational Capabilities: An innovative Approach
On this occasion, Shri Arpit Chadha highlighted achievements based on innovations adopted by various segments, Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director (Management) introduced and welcomed all the dignitaries on the dais and shared her thoughts on Business Summit and its relevance in contemporary times. Dr. Anusha Agrawal presented an overview and the basic purpose behind organizing this summit... Guest of Honor Shri Shankar Goenka inspired the young generation with his enlightened speech and motivated them to be successful business leaders. Chief guest Shri Rajesh Gulati made aware of ongoing changes out of new innovations in different sectors.

The Summit was organized in three sessions of a panel discussion on three diverse areas. The first session was based on the theme “Innovation and Marketing Strategies for Global Competitiveness”. Sr. Prof. C. K. Sabharwal (ITS- Mohan Nagar) moderated the session and shared his birds-eye views on the topic. Sh. Sanjay Chitkara, Head Corporate marketing (LG Electronics), Sh. Sushant Dubey EVP (Sify Technologies), Sh. Amit Sharma National Head (DAIKIN) participated in a panel discussion and delivered their thoughts on the subject.
The theme for a panel discussion in the second session was on “Innovative Financial Strategies in BSFI sectors. Sh. Bharat Anand Sr. Director (DSCI) & Chief of Technology, Ministry of Home Affairs, Sh. Jyoti Prakash Gadia, MD (Resurgent India Limited) and Sh. Gurusharan Roy Bansal, CGM ( India Post Bank Payments Limited) shared their insight about the BFSI sector and role of Fintech in the financial services and enlightened the audience with their experience.
The third session was related to HR Perspective and the theme was “Human Capital for Transcending Organizational Capabilities: An innovative Approach”. Sh. Arun Prakash, Executive Director (KMPG), Dr. Rajesh Mohan Rai, Strategic HR Consultant, and Sh. Pankaj Agrawal, MD (Simply Dhruv) participated in the discussion and threw enriched value-added knowledge with new dimensions to the recipients.
Senior corporate executives participated and shared their views on above mentioned contemporary themes and delegates from different institutions and business houses participated in the Summit.

Online Workshop on “C Programming & Practices” was organized for MCA II Semester Students on Saturday, 15th February 2020 conducted by Tech Next Club at our Institute premises. The session of 2.0 hours was taken by Pratik Jaiswal, Tech Lead, Fubeus Technology Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru and MCA Alumni Batch(2009-2012). Mr. Jaiswal explained about C Fundamentals and explained the topics like Static and Dynamic Array, Memory Allocation, Matrices, Graphics based applications. He also gave the practical demonstration of C Programs and Students did hands on assignments and discussed the results during the session.
It was a good learning experience for the students.

“Angular JS” in “Alumni Talk Series” for MCA IV Semester Students conducted by Tech Next Club

To make the students aware with the current technologies in which the software development is being done in the IT industry.
A session sum workshop on AngularJS was conducted for the students of MCA IV semester on 15th February, 2020. Under aegis of TechNext Club the session was taken by Mr. Hemant Kumar, Technical Analyst, NIIT Technologies Pvt. Ltd and MCA Alumni of Batch (2007-2010). Mr. Hemant Kumar started his session with basic fundamentals of AngularJS with its importance and applications. Then Mr. Kumar continued his session with technical details of AngularJS, directives, expressions, controller, tables, filters, forms etc. He also demonstrated some real life applications developed by using AngularJS and also let the students done hands on practice by doing coding for a template design and development.
All the participated students enjoyed the session by learning and doing by themselves.
The Readers Cafe – Library Club Organized “BIBLIOMANIA” (The Game Of Puzzles and Knowledge on Current Affairs)

Department of Management at I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized a Library Club activity “BIBLIOMANIA” for MBA (2019-21) students on 13th February, 2020.
The activity was conducted by the coordinator of Library Club Prof. Mansi Singh. The purpose of the activity was to evaluate and enhance the current affairs related knowledge with analytic skills of students with respect to the parameters of remembrance and accuracy.
There were 3 rounds in the activity. In the first round, 13 teams participated and each team consisted of 2 students. Further 6 teams were promoted to the second round.
The second round was a Logical reasoning round. In this round, logical questions were asked from each member of top 6 teams individually, where each participant tried to solve reasoning with different logic.
There were 3 teams who were selected for the final round. The Final Round was DUMB CHARADES (Dumb Charades is a word guessing name and can add lots of excitement and fun. Dumb Charades involves explaining the ‘phrases’ or the name of ‘a movie’, ‘a book’, etc. through acting. A person is not allowed to talk and is required to act out the phrase/name by using different gestures, facial expressions, and body language). All the participants have performed their best to compete and win. It was really a tough competition among all.
Winners of the event were Ananya Srivastava & Ayushi, Kirti & Shantanu and Abha & Ananya kulshrestha for Ist, IInd &IIIrd positions respectively.
The activity was concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony by Honorable Judge Dr. Anusha Agarwal. The winners were felicitated with certificates and amazing prizes.
The activity was a great success where students enjoyed a lot along with fun and learning.

MCA IV Semester Students attended webinar session on “Your journey to SAP S/4 HANA – The Accenture Way” on 12th February 2020 at Institute premises.
Objective of this webinar session was to understand requirement of companies in this digital era for development of rapid business application and enhancement of processing capabilities. For this, there is need to understand and enable SAP which is shifting its focus from "Run Simple" to "Run Live"-enterprises must run real-time businesses to succeed in the digital revolution. Session Speaker Ms Geeta Kanase, Senior Manager – Intelligent Platform Services – SAP S/4 HANA Center of Excellence, Accenture focused on evolution on SAP, SAP S/4HANA innovations and the dynamics associated with defining the roadmap for this journey. Further, MsKanase discussed on Current state of S/4 HANA, Accenture in New IT space etc. Speaker has answered the queries asked during the end of the session.
It was nice learning experience to all participants.
Workshop on Sales and Distribution Management organized

Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad organized a workshop for the marketing specialization students
to make students more familiar with the practical knowledge of fieldwork and clearing out their queries regarding various profiles of marketing. The workshop was addressed by Prof. Durba Roy. She started with asking the experience of students during their summer internship and fetching out their basic issues out of it when it comes to sales. Students highlighted issues like Field Work, Target, Pressure, Incentives and Rejection Handling.
Ma’am further elaborated on the reason and solution behind these raised concerns. She explained how important it is to first understand the organizational culture and other budgetary and process-related factors. She moved on to explain 4 theories of Selling, namely ADIDAS, Right Set of Circumstance Theory, Buying Formula and Behavioural Equation Theory.
After explaining these theories in detail, ma’am made students understand how important is to identify the need of the customer and fulfilling the demands. And explained the formal and informal structure of the sales organization. The activity was also conducted by her by giving real-time situations to the students and asked them to identify the primary steps required for the sales-process in various industries.
The workshop was summed up on the topic of the Model of Distribution Channels.
