AajTak, the Nation's No. 1 News Channel organized its 4thedition of its much acclaimed Literature Festival SAHITYA AAJ TAK.
The three day literature festival was scheduled for the 1st, 2nd& 3rd November 2019 at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi.
Students of MCA along with Faculty members & Staff Member of Department of I.T including Prof. Puja Dhar, Prof. Saurabh Saxena and Ms. Babita Kapila had attended the Sahitya AajTak Fest on 2nd November, 2019.
Renowned MP, Singer & Actor ,Manoj Tiwari and Ashutosh Rana, Poet & Actor were one of the speakers of the session. It was followed by book launch- 'Maun Muskan Ki Mar' published by Prabhat Prakashanand authored by Ashutosh Rana.
A confluence of poetry, prose, music and drama, the festival was an initiative to highlight the importance of art and literature in today’s era. The objective of this fest was to bring together a diverse mix of India’s renowned personalities from writers, scholars, authors, musicians, actors, columnists, business leaders, poets and theatre artists on one platform to express their views openly and engage in a meaningful dialogue.
The mega festival was attended by a host of celebrities such as singers Malini Awasthi, Roohani Sisters, Hans Raj Hans, Anup Jalota, Ravi Kishan, Manoj Tiwari; writers Ruskin Bond, RomeshGunesekera, Upamanyu Chatterjee, Durjoy Datta, Chetan Bhagat, Anand Neelakanthan, Ashok Vajpeyi; shayarsRahatIndori, Waseem Barelvi, poets Kumar Vishwas, SwanandKirkire, Udai Prakash; lyricists Manoj Muntashir, Irshad Kamil, Sameer and many others.
Students were excited to meet and listen to many renowned Journalists of AajTak. The day was full of enjoyment and learning for all.
Visit to AajTak for Sahitya Summit-2019 by MBA students

Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad visited AajTak Channel for their 4th edition of Sahitya Samelan -2019.
The summit was a three-day festival from November 1st to November 3rd.The summit was a confluence of Poetry, literature and Music. It was attended by big shots like Kailash Kher, Chetan Bhagat, Anup Jalota, Anupam Kher, Ruskin Bond, Kumar Vishwas and many more. The festival was a initiative to highlight the importance of art and literature in todays era. The program was decorated with multiple stages to celebrate literary talent in many languages where the artists expressed their views and opinions freely.
The students attended the Musical concert of Kailash Kher and were enthralled by his performing spirit. The singer mesmerised the audience with some of his hit numbers. The students then attended a Hasya Kavi Samelan where artists like Padam Shri Surendra Sharma gave some valuable lessons of life to the students. Lunch was organised for the students.
Overall it was an enjoyable and at the same time students learnt that how literature affects the various aspects of life.

Department of IT, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organized session on “Kubernetes, Istio, Kafka and Camel: the glue to your agency’s Cloud-native strategy” through Video Conferencing for MCA Students on Thursday, 31st October 2019 at Institute premises.
Objective of this Webinar was to provide complete understanding of Powerful tools which are needed to design scalable, distributed systems that can take advantage of the agility and organizational efficiencies promised by micro services.
In this session, Mr. KhongWai Leong, Application Development Lead, Red Hat APAC discussed on the current cloud-native landscape from a technology perspective including technologies like Kubernetes, Istio, Kafka and Apache Camel. He focused on how to "glue" your heterogeneous environments, tools and approaches together in a cohesive cloud-ready strategy.
Ms. Gina Smith, Research Manager, DevOps and cloud Platforms, IDC discussed on DevOps wheel, Cloud native and IDC predictions. Ms. Smith told that Cloud native is an approach to building software as containerized micro services to exploit the advantages of the cloud computing model.
Session Speakers has also answered the questions after the completion of session.
It was overall good learning experience for all the participants.
Celebration of “Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel”

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is a revered name in Indian politics. A lawyer and a political activist, he played a leading role during the Indian Independence Movement.
After independence, he was crucial in the integration of over 500 princely states into the Indian Union. He was deeply influenced by Gandhi’s ideology and principles, having worked very closely with leader. Despite being the choice of the people, on the request of Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel stepped down from the candidacy of Congress President, which ultimately turned out to be the election to choose the first Prime Minister of independent India. He was the first Home Minister of Independent India and his uncompromising efforts towards consolidation of the country earned him the title ‘Iron Man of India’.
To pay him a tribute, Department of I.T, I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad celebrated his birth anniversary on 31st October, 2019. On this occasion students of MCA participated in Essay writing competition and also shared their views about the Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
While addressing the students Chairperson-MCA, Prof. Puja Dhar and Coordinator-MCA, Prof. Smita Kansal said that we should salute the personality like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his contribution towards our country.
Faculty members of Department of I.T including Prof. K.P Singh, Prof. Saurabh Saxena and Prof. Abhay Ray also shared their views about the Iron Man of India.
Students showed an enthusiasm for participating in this activity.

With an objective to create best learning opportunities to MCA Students, Department of IT, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad has organised session in the Video Conferencing Series on “Solving the Data Protection Dilemma” through Video Conferencing on 26th September 2019 at Institute premises.
Objective of this Webinar was to provide complete understanding of Data which has critical component of business success. There is need to understand backup and recovery requirements and also provide protected environment. According to reports from IDC and Gartner, unstructured data is growing at a rate of over 60% annually 1 . This massive growth has posed new data challenges for backing up data within target windows, and cost-effectively managing this increasingly complex data landscape to comply with regulations.
In Session, Mr Mathew Hardwan, Hitachi Vantara APAC discussed about Hitachi Data Protection Suite (HDPS), powered by Commvault and it’s related case Studies. and Mr. Andrew Bell, CommvaultAPAC ,focused on HDPS and HCP: Modern, Unified Data Protection and Management and its comparison, benefits and disadvantages to depth understanding of concepts.

Utthan, a CSR initiative of I.T.S - Mohan Nagar organised an activity based on the theme of auspicious festival “Diwali” for the school students in the campus on 24th October, 2019.
Students made different decorative beautiful items to decorate their homes to celebrate Diwali festival. Students were divided into groups and they made beautiful decorative items with the help of different materials.
Students were also made understand the importance of Diwali Celebration by I.T.S volunteers.
Best decorative items made by students were awarded with prizes by Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director (Management) and faculty coordinators, Dr. Nitin Saxena and Prof. Shilpi Vaish.

Objective of this Webinar was to provide complete understanding of API which are central to digital transformation. In todays’ scenario, APIs have become ubiquitous—when we order food online, hail a cab using an app on our phone, or book airline tickets, APIs are behind it. For its depth understanding, there is need to understand API Management and how to secure API Gateway. Discussion was also focused on API Gateway Deployment patterns and visibility & analytics to mature API program etc.
In Session, Mr. Shahnawaz Backer, Security Specialist, APCJ discussed about API and how API works in real life applications. Mr. Backer discussed about API Management, API gateway and its related deployment patterns. Session Speaker has also answered the questions after the completion of session.

Dr. V N Bajpai, Professor, I.T.S Ghaziabad was invited to judge Business Plan Competition in the event
“Gyan Manthan: Techno Culture Fest” of Ideal Institute of Management and Technology (affiliated to GGS Indraprastha University, New Delhi) on 22nd October, 2019. More than 25 teams of various institutions from Delhi, NCR participated in competition and presented their Business Plans, including Automobile, Herbal Products, Chocolates, Restaurant, Tourism Destination, Real Estate etc.
In his opening remarks Dr. Bajpai shared the essence of Business plan in Management education and highlighted the key aspects of a good plan. At the end he congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of all participating teams
Guest Lecture on International Business Management for students of MBA 2018 – 20 batch

Department of Management organized guest lecture to explain the Importance of Export Import documentation procedures in International Business cannot be stressed enough.
One of the most crucial components of a successful international business transaction is the accurate completion of required export documentation and import documentation. Failure to produce such documentation can hinder the dispatch of products by a manufacturer or supplier, and can ultimately impede the timely receipt of goods by the customer.
Guest speaker for the session was Prof. H.P Singh, Project Director & Chief Consultant, NIESBUD (The National Institute for Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development, under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India). An Alumnus of IIM- Ahmedabad, and a certified trainer of ILO (International Labour Organization) and IFC (International Finance Corporation),Prof. Singh has been associated with NIESBUD for over 10 years. Prof. Singh has conducted more than 100 (107) workshops on Export procedure & Documentation and delivered more than 200 lectures on Entrepreneurship Development.
The resource person shared his vast, valuable knowledge and experience with the students. He covered the topics of export import documentation, payment terms along with contemporary challenges of International logistics and International Marketing. The session was very interactive and inspiring for the students.
‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme

Department of Management at I.T.S Mohan Nagar, conducted Parivartan - The Slum Education Programme on 20th October 2019, dedicating it to the celebration of the Festival of Lights.
As is the norm, the proceedings opened with an explanation about why Diwali is observed every year. Debutante volunteers Ravika and Anamika made an impressive start as they went about discussing how the occasion is supposed to mark Lord Ram’s victory over the rakshasha king Ravan, symbolising the triumph of Good over Evil. Different facets of the protagonists’ lives were also highlighted during the course of the class. The volunteers also used the session to make the children aware about why they need to be more responsible while burning crackers during the festival, and how such crackers are ultimately harmful for the environment.
The remaining course of the session was dedicated to a revision of concepts learnt during the day. The questions centred on the mythological aspects, as well as more realistic isues like safety and protecting the environment. Those who answered correctly were rewarded with pack of Frooti each. As always the day’s activities ended with the distribution of laddoos, ‘Britannia Good Day’ biscuits and ‘Parle Melody’ toffees. Ever so often passing folk get inspired by our activities and donate foodstuff for giving out to the kids.
Dr. Indraneel Mandal accompanied and motivated the student volunteers. Prof. Lokesh Upreti planned and guided the volunteers in the conduct of the programme as the faculty coordinator of CSR Club - Parivartan.

Department of I.T, ITS, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized “SAMAGRA-2019”, an inter-institutional Techno-Cultural Fest on Saturday 19thOctober, 2019.
The event received registration from 50 institutes in various activities and witnessed good participation from institutes of NCR and far off places.The event comprised of different activities under four categories including Technical, Cultural, Literary and Fine Arts. The eventwas full of fun, great display of talent, commitment, high class performances in all the categories.

Excursion Trip organized for MBA I on 18th October, 2019

Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad organized a trip to Pratapgarh Farms for the students of MBA I.
The objective of this trip was to develop leadership quality and focus on team building activities among the fresh batch. The students were accompanied by faculty members Dr. Satish Kumar, Dr. Anusha Aggarwal, Dr. Nitin Saxena, Dr. Surendra Tiwari, Prof. Jyotsana and Prof. Parul Gupta.
All the students enthusiastically participated in various activities like, Camel Ride, Rock Climbing, Cricket, Volley Ball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Archery, Tug of war, Carom, Chess, Ludo, Camel Ride, Tractor Ride, Bullock Cart Ride, Mehndi, Head Massage, Pottery and many other interesting activities in the farm. The students enjoyed a lot and shall always cherish the memories of the trip.
Guest Lecture organized for MBA Students

On 17thOctober 2019, a guest talk was organized for the students of MBA First Year (Batch 2019-21).
The topic of the session was ‘Indian Economy- Vision 2025’. MrJayant Srivastava, Senior Consultant KPMG, had an informative session with the students wherein he explained how India has fared in the last few years and what the future path may look like for the national economy.
Mr Srivastava used numerous examples and factual data to bring forth the current positive as well as negative aspects prevailing in the economy. He discussed in detail the steps being taken by the Government of India to improve the condition of our economy at the global level. The numerous examples given by MrSrivastava helped in creating a good understanding of the discussion among the students.
The students took active participation in the session and expressed their eagerness to have such sessions in future as well.
