Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed on 03rd July, 2019 between Institute of Technology & Science, Ghaziabad & Rubicon Skill Development Pvt., Ltd. for training students on “Campus to Corporate” Program. MoU was signed by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director (Management) of I.T.S Ghaziabad and Mr. Vidit Chaudhary , Campus Connect Manager, Rubicon.
Rubicon was incepted with a dream of a world where every youth has the power to transform lives for themselves and others around them. Company aims at building competencies, which would help youth seek careers and prosper in their career of choice through excitement into learning by developing and harnessing, their curiosity and intrinsic motivation for learning.
Rubicon’s “Campus to Corporate” Program, is supported by Barclays that aims at improving the employ ability skills of the youth. This initiative is supported by Barclays. Under this program students will be trained by Corporate Trainers to enhance their life skills which would help them significantly to increase their chance of succeeding in a job interview.
In the 24- Hours Skills Training Program, students will be trained in Public Speaking, Presentation Skills, E-mail Etiquette, Grooming, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme

‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme at Department of Management of I.T.S Ghaziabad conducted activity on 30th June, 2019 covering the topics of general knowledge and mapping of different Indian states.
In the first half Pragati and Sudhanshu dealt with a variety of topics on mythology and current affairs such as stories from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, the Central Government, famous Indian personalities, etc. Questions were directed towards the learners.
The second session was brought up by Vasu as he took the unique initiative of familiarizing the children with the states using the map of India. Map sheets were handed out, followed by Vasu tracing out the state boundaries on the board. Volunteers helped the kids in marking the maps correctly.
Finally it was time for Chhoti Chhoti Baatein - jaate jaate aaj ka gyan. Sudhanshu did the honors as he explained to the famous Sanskrit shloka from the Bhagawad Gita:
Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshou kada chana
You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of actions.
A quiz was held to review learning of the day, with those answering correctly receiving ‘Bikano Namkeen’ packets. The day ultimately concluded with the distribution of ‘Parle Good Day’ biscuits and Eclairs toffees.
Dr. Indraneel Mandal accompanied and motivated the student volunteers. Prof. Lokesh Upreti planned and guided the volunteers in the conduct of the programme as the faculty coordinator of CSR Club - Parivartan.

The 21st of June is celebrated every year as International Yoga Day. It was therefore natural that ‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad will also impart some idea about one of India’s most significant gifts to the rest of the world.
Jyoti first engaged the students in understanding what yoga was all about. She explained all the varieties of techniques utilised here and the rationale behind each. She also took care to diligently explain the benefits accruing from the different asanas.
Then Sudhanshu took centre stage as he demonstrated a number of useful asanas like Trikonasan, Tadasan, some elements of Suryanamaskar,Vajrasan, Shabasan, Balasan, Bhramarasan and Simhasan. In order to lighten things up he even demonstrated Hasyasan. While the children joined in enthusiastically, care was taken to ensure that they performed each asana in the proper manner.
Finally popular and useful techniques like kapalbhati and anulom vilom were also demonstrated. The unique and eye opening day ultimately came to an end with the distribution of ‘Bikano Namkeen’ packets and Eclairs toffees.
International Yoga Day Celebration@ I.T.S Ghaziabad

I.T.S – Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2019 in the campus. Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. This idea was proposed by Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi.
The session was conducted by famous Yoga Trainer Ms Pramila Singh with the students, faculty and staff. Ms Pramila Singh was welcomed by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director (Management) and Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director (UG). All the participants demonstrated various asanas including warm up exercises, sitting and standing asanas. Importance of these was explained simultaneously by the trainer. She encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration and to create consciousness.

Day of activity was significant for two reasons – it was Father’s Day and being the third Sunday of the month, it was time for learning through games as well. There could be no better opportunity for fusing both together.
Sudhanshu the powerhouse started the day with a most innovative experiment. He decided to use some balloon tricks to explain to the children that what appears to be magic is actually science at work. Common concepts of physics were demonstrated with the participation of the learners themselves. Naturally the kids were all ears and loved the experience.
Then livewire Nagesh came forward to discuss the importance of Father’s Day. After making the children discuss the significance of the day, he made them recite a poem on the love for fathers. Finally the game began as sheets were handed out and the children were asked to write or draw about their fathers. Three winners received a Table Tennis Set each. Notable mentions were rewarded with toffees and ‘Bikano Namkeen’ packets.
The longish day then drew to a close with the distribution of ‘Parle Good Day’ biscuits and ‘Parle Mango Bite’ toffees.

Parivartan session for the day intended to cover two important topics – types of food, and languages of different states of India.
Ashish began the class with a discussion the components of food. He asked the children what exactly is food and why it is needed. He explained that food performs three main functions – providing energy, protection from disease and growth. Accordingly, he related how carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and fats take care of vital functions.
Next it was Rishita’s turn with a lecture on states and their languages. She interacted with the learners regarding major states like Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, as well as popular languages like Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Tamil. Those who successfully answered questions were given Éclairs toffees.
The regulation quiz covering the day's topics brought more winners, who received 'Parle Good Day' biscuits. Nagesh then took over the responsibilty for Chhoti Chhoti Baatein - jaate jaate aaj ka gyan. He opted for the Sanskrit shloka:
Yatra nari pujyante ramante tatra devta
(Divinity blossoms wherein women are honoured.)
Using these lines, Nagesh impressed upon the children the need to respect and care for women in their respective homes.
The day ended with the distribution of 'Bikano Namkeen' packets.

‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad conducted ‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme covering the topics - elements of the Central Government and Grammar (Tenses).
Upasana started with a session explaining the structure of the government at the center. She talked about the roles of the President, Prime Minister and the Cabinet Ministers. In this connection, she also referred to major ministries like Home, Finance,Defense, External Affairs and Surface Transport and discussed the major functions under their purview.
In the second session, Rishita taught the learners about the concept of tense in grammar. She explained the three different kinds of tenses, using examples to make it understandable.
Finally it was time for Chhoti Chhoti Baatein - jaate jaate aaj ka gyan. Today the little ones were told about the need for maintaining proper health and hygiene during the grueling summer months through good habits like drinking water at regular intervals, washing hands before and after meals, etc.
At last it was quiz time as usual for refreshing the day’s learnings. Those who answered correctly were rewarded with a packet of ‘Bikano Namkeen’. This was followed by the distribution of ‘Britannia Good Day’ biscuits and ‘Parle Mango Bite’ toffees before the children turned homeward.

Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, Prof. Ankur Ahuja successfully completed one week Faculty Development Program on Advance Data Analysis & Techniques: SEM & Econometrics during 24thto 29th May, 2019 at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology.
The FDP was focused on giving hands on experience on Data analysis software’s like AMOS, E-Views & SPSS. FDP was packed with session delivered by Dr. Hamendra Kumar Dangi, University of Delhi & Dr. Sunita Arora the eminent speakers from academia. The Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Amit Gupta, HOD, Department of Management, MAIT.

Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad conducted ‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme on 26th May, 2019 covering the topics of Olympics, and Least Common Multiples (LCM) in maths.
The volunteers for the day were Sudhanshu Dixit, Pragati Singh, Vasu Garg and Nageshwar Mani Tiwari.
The introductory session of the day was on the Olympics as Pragati and Vasu, introduced the children to the world of the Olympics. She traced out the history of the games, pointing out how they started at Greece in 1896, with over 200 athletes from 14 participating nations. she also explained the significance of the Olympic symbol, discussing how the different colours of the rings in the symbol corresponded to the five major continents of the world.
Next Nageshwar and Sudhanshu took a class on LCM. They started by describing the concept of unlike fractions and how LCM provides a means for addition and subtraction between such fractions. Some of the students were called upon to come to the board to solve the problems as others did it in their copies.
After the customary quiz for evaluating the learning of the day, Sudhanshu returned with the now familiar Chhoti Chhoti Baatein - jaate jaate aaj ka gyan. Today it was a doha or couplet of Kabir:
Aisee vani boliye, mann ka aapa khoye,
Apna tan sheetal kare, auran ko sukh hoye.
Speak not through your ego, so that the body remains composed,
And you spread joy through your words.
The day concluded with the distribution of ‘Bikano Salted Peanuts’ and ‘Parle Orange Bite’ toffees. Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad conducted ‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme on 19th May, 2019.
The volunteers of the day were Sudhanshu Dixit, Kirti Singh, Monica Gupta and Tanishq Pratap Singh.
The classroom session of the day was handled expertly by Kirti as she rattled off figures relating to India’s preeminent position among the nations of the world. The session was very informative for the learners as there were aspects not normally discussed within the confines of a classroom.
Then it was time for the fun part, as the games began. Sudhanshu involved the smaller kids in a separate session, while the older ones were made part of a reverse command game, so as to identify ten winners. The ten winners were then assigned color photos, on the basis of which they were supposed to create a story. Basically the motive here was to encourage some creativity from the young ones. After some initial hesitance, proper guidance led to better performance. The three best performers received prizes in the form of bat and ball sets.
The quiz session returned as a means of recapitulating the fact based earlier session of the day. Things were then brought to a close with the distribution of ‘Good Day’ biscuits and ‘Parle Orange Bite’ toffees. Dr. Umang invited as Guest Speaker to deliver a Technical Talk on “Vehicular Adhoc Networks and FANET” on 22nd May, 2019
in Two Weeks Faculty Development Programme on “Emerging Research Trends in Computer Science and IT” from 13th - 24th May, 2019 during 09:30 a.m. to 05:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, is being organized by IEEE Del Section & IIPC (AICTE) of BVICAM, New Delhi, in collaboration with IEEE Computer Society (Delhi Section), CSI Delhi Chapter & ISTE Delhi Section at BVICAM, New Delhi.
The session had witnessed the participation of faculty members and researchers from renowned colleges and universities. In this session, Dr. Singh discussed on VANET technologies and its impact on different reallife applications. While discussing about proliferation of technologies, Dr Umang presented a detailed discussion on Adhoc networks, Vehicular Adhoc Networks & FANETs and its empirical research issues. In addition to this, Introduction of Network Simulator, its Importance, types of Network Simulators, Requirements and their simulation were also explained through demonstration using SUMO.

The day took off with a session on fractions. Nagesh and Sudhanshu discussed the concept along with the various types of fractions – like and unlike, proper and improper, etc. Prof. Upreti came in to explain why fractions have a practical relevance; he told the children why the sense of proportion is significant to the basic idea of fractions, which made it much clearer for the learners. The kids were also taught about addition of like fractions.
Astha then held forth on the important issue of human rights. She told the children about Right to Equality, Right to Freedom of Expression, Right to Constitutional Remedies, Right to Culture and Education, etc. The learners were taught how an awareness of these rights can lead to a better quality of life as a citizen of the country.
Since the previous Sunday, an interesting new element has been started in the form of Chhoti Chhoti Baatein – short takeaways for the day or jaate jaate aaj ka gyan. While in the previous week it had been about good habits for the summer days, this week it was a Sanskrit shloka which stressed on the significance of respect to elders like parents, teachers and older relatives, and how it helps to build character. Once again, Sudhanshu provided the finishing touch of the day.
The customary quiz was held to get an idea about the understanding of the day’s lessons. This was followed by the distribution of ’Parle Orange Bite’toffees and ‘Priya Butter Bite’ biscuits among the children.

Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, Dr. Charu Chaudhry organized a Faculty Development Program on "Time Management" for faculty members of I.T.S Physiotherapy & Biotechnology College, Murad Nagar on May 4, 2019.
Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director-Management, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Campus inaugurated the program and emphasized upon the relevance of time management as a skill, which is essential to improve workplace productivity, in the dynamic competitive environment. Dr Charu focused on relationship between time management and self-management for professional excellence. With experiential exercises, she sensitized the participants that they can always improve productivity even if they are performing well. She also shared time management tools and techniques that can add value while prioritizing and scheduling the tasks. Various exercises helped participants to identify specific tools they need to use, to gain control of their time and become more efficient in near future. Session was highly interactive and faculty members participated in the program with full enthusiasm and energy. Presence of Director-Management and Dr. V N Bajpai encouraged all the participants.

Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, Dr. Rajeev Johari successfully completed two weeks program of FDP on “Research Gaps in Economics: Issues and Data Sets” during 22nd April to 4th May, 2019
at Mahatma Hansraj College, University of Delhi. The entire program was delivered by distinguished interdisciplinary panel of experts in their specific domain from varied areas of academia, MHRD and policy makers, placed at established institutions like IIM-A, Delhi School of Economics, JNU, ICRIER, NIPFP, IGIDR Mumbai, NITI Ayog, RBI, IGNOU and other prestigious bodies.The rich variety in contents focused on current themes of Economics like public policy, policy research, data mining, Data Sets, Make in India, health economics, GIS, Regression Modeling, SAS, and advanced tools and applications in economics for upcoming markets. It was an enriched learning platform that can be further imparted to students in the area of economics from managerial perspectives. The basic purpose of this program was to act as a refresher and knowledge updationin the area of economics and also inter connect the problems of the society which is faced by researchers amidst the current challenges.
Farewell Function “ADIEU” for MBA 2017-19

Department of management at I.T.S Ghaziabad organized ADIEU- Farewell ceremony of MBA 2017-19 Batch on 3rd May 2019. It was an emotional celebration as the students of MBA (2017-19) bid farewell to their seniors.
The evening commenced with Lamp Lighting followed by a riveting Ganesh Vandana dance by the students of MBA First Year.
Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director (Management) in his address blessed the outgoing students for a successful journey ahead. He guided them to always be prepared for facing challenges in life and never give up on their dreams and aspirations. He motivated the students to always see themselves as good ambassadors of the Institute and to keep on strengthening the relationship with their Alma Mater.
The junior batch enthralled the audience with their captivating dance performances and added vigour and excitement to the evening.
Songs on friendship made the senior batch emotional and took them down the memory lane.
This year in a new initiative, 3 students of MBA 2017-19 Batch Mr. Ashish Bhatt, Ms. Vaishali Chauhan and Mr. Raj Sharma were felicitated for their highest attendance throughout the duration of the 2 Year course. The most awaited moment of the night was conferring of the titles to the senior batch. Ms. Mamtaand Mr. Aru won the titles Ms. and Mr. Popular respectively and Mr. Varun Arora and Ms. Simmi Sharma were the recipients of the titles of Mr. & Ms. Farewell. All the winners were felicitated and blessed by Director- Management Dr. Ajay Kumar.
Students were emotional as they were leaving behind their friends and the institute. At the same time they were also excited and optimistic towards the possibilities which the future holds for them.
The evening ended on a high note where all the students rocked the dance floor and enjoyed the DJ followed by dinner.
The farewell ceremony full of celebration and emotions created lasting memories for all and strengthened the bond between the passing out batch and the Institute.
