The event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting, symbolizing the start of a journey toward knowledge and enlightenment followed by a welcome address by Dr. V.N. Bajpai, Director of the Institute. He emphasised on the significance of setting clear goals and passionately working to excel throughout their MBA journey. Dr. Uma Gulati provided an overview of the orientation program, outlining the schedule and setting clear expectations for the students.
Mr. Surendra Sood, Director –PR, I.T.S The Education Group focused on the process of learning, underlining and the importance of managing both knowledge & people effectively. Maj. Gen. Dilawar Singh (Retd.) captivated the audience with his insights on mental preparedness, drawing on anecdotes from the epic Mahabharata. He shared the story of Barbarik and Lord Krishna, illustrating the importance of continuous knowledge and skill upgrades. He urged the students to remain relevant by honing their behavioural and technical skills. Ms. Shailza Taneja spoke passionately about harnessing youth energy and maintaining a positive attitude in life. She encouraged the students to channelize their energy productively, fostering both personal and professional growth. Mr. Amitava Sinha highlighted the importance of teamwork, advocating for a “we, not I” approach. Maj. Gen. Pramod Saighal (Retd.) inspired students with his recounting of India’s rise to a prominent global position. He urged them to stay agile, creative, and innovative, sharing personal stories from his career in the Indian Army.

On Saturday, 31st August 2024, MCA department organized a panel discussion-cum-interactive session with alumni from various MCA batches were planned were alumni sharing their career journeys and insights.
They also guide the newly admitted students and help new students to understand industry expectations. The session was interactive, allowing students to ask questions and engage directly with the alumni. Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, Director-IT, welcomes and expresses gratitude to the alumni for their ongoing support and emphasizes how their experiences and success stories inspire current students. Prof. Saurabh Saxena, the Alumni Coordinator, stresses the importance of building a strong connection between alumni and current students. He explains that these connections create a community where students can learn about different career paths, industry trends, and real-world challenges they might face after graduation.After the panel discussion, there was an open Q&A session where students can ask the alumni questions about their experiences, challenges, and career paths. This allow students to clarify doubts and gain practical insights tailored to their individual interests and career goals.The session end with a summary of key points and Vote of thanks.

The FDP was designed to introduce the fields of machine learning and deep learning covering the basic and advanced concepts along with hands-on sessions.On day-1 Dr. Anurag Singh from NIT, Delhi talked about the introduction to Research. He advised all the participants to have a goal in life and also contribute towards the research which will be beneficial for the society.On day-2, Dr. Divakar Yadav, IGNOU, Delhi discussed about the mathematics behind the classification algorithms for machine learning. He also talked about the advantages and disadvantages of various classification algorithms.On day-3, Dr. S N Rajan, IMSEC talked about the various classification techniques in which he discussed about the lazy learners and eager learners’ algorithmsOn day-4, Dr. Mrinal Pandey, MRU, Faridabad discussed about the working of CNN model and its algorithm which was followed by the hands-on sessions in the computer lab.On day-5, Dr. Rabins Porwal, CSJMU, Kanpur discussed about Simple Linear Regression and the working of this model. He also discussed the various multiple linear regression algorithms with real life examples.Overall the whole 5-days FDP was a great learning towards the implementation of machine learning and deep learning in the real life scenarios.

GLOCAL- IB club at Department of Management organized activity “GLOCAL GAZETTE” for MBA

Encouraging participation was received for the activity and based on screening round 1, four teams of 4 members each were selected to participate in the final round. They were asked to create a newspaper with using the cuttings from provided newspapers such as the ToI, the economic times, and business standard. The activity was targeted towards bring out creativity in one self, team work and presentation skills in the students.
The esteemed judges of the event were Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Assistant professor and Coordinator – MBA and Dr. Shikha Aggarwal – Faculty in- charge GLOCAL club.
The winners of the eventwere:
1st position was secured by team “The Trendsetters” whose members were Nitish Kumar, Mohit Singh, Urvi Gupta and Rishika Rajpoot.
2nd position was secured by team “The Hustlers” whose members were Mukul Kumar, Shrey Jain and Ranjay Singh.
Exciting prizes and certificates were felicitated to all the winners and participants respectively, by the respected judges.

Abhikalpan-2024, a Project Ideation Competition was held on 27th June 2024 at Chankaya Auditorium organized by Programming Club, Department of IT in association with CSI Student Branch at I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad.
The event aimed to provide a platform for participants to showcase their projects, research, and innovative ideas through visually appealing and concise posters. The contest was designed to enhance communication skills, promote creativity and design & knowledge exchange among participants.
A total of 23 participants from MCA departments registered for the contest. Each team was required to prepare a poster summarizing their project and present it to a panel of judges.
After careful deliberation, the judges selected the following winners:
First Position: Ms. Parul Jindal and Mr. Shoaib Akhtar
Second Position: Mr. Mannu Kumar, Suyogya Mishra and Abhishek
Third Position: Ms. Mansi Singh, Mr. Krishna Pal and Mr. Ashish Shekhar Jha
The Director-IT, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey and judges provided positive feedback on the quality of the posters and presentations. They praised the participants for their hard work, creativity, and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. The contest concluded with a closing ceremony, where the winners were awarded certificates and prizes.

International Yoga Day Celebration at I.T.S Ghaziabad

I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm with participation of faculty, staff and students.
The event was organized with the aim of promoting the importance of yoga in daily life and enhancing the physical and mental well-being of the I.T.S community. The celebration saw the presence of distinguished guests and yoga trainers who shared their expertise and guided participants through various yoga practices.
The session commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Rajeev Arora, Art of Living Happiness and Wellness teacher and RPL 5 certified Yoga trainer. Along with him was Mr. Ashoo Katyal, another esteemed Art of Living VTP and RPL level 5 certified yoga trainer. Their combined experience and dedication to the practice of yoga set a positive and energetic tone for the session.
Mr. Rajeev Arora began by introducing the philosophy and benefits of yoga, emphasizing its role in achieving a balanced and harmonious life. He explained how regular practice of yoga can lead to significant improvements in physical health, mental clarity, and emotional stability. His articulate explanation provided a comprehensive understanding of yoga, making it accessible even to those who were new to the practice.
Following this, Mr. Ashoo Katyal took over to lead the practical session. He demonstrated various yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques), carefully explaining the benefits of each practice. Participants were guided through a series of stretches, balancing poses, and relaxation techniques. The interactive session was designed to cater to both beginners and those with prior yoga experience. The trainers ensured that everyone could follow along comfortably, offering modifications and personal guidance where necessary.
The highlight of the session was the focus on mindfulness and inner peace. Mr. Katyal emphasized the importance of connecting breath with movement and staying present in the moment. He introduced techniques such as deep breathing and meditation, which are essential for reducing stress and enhancing mental focus. The tranquil environment, combined with the expert guidance, allowed participants to experience a profound sense of relaxation and rejuvenation.
The faculty and students responded enthusiastically, actively participating in the session. Many expressed how the session left them feeling refreshed and more connected to their bodies. The practical knowledge and techniques learned during the session were highly appreciated, with participants acknowledging the positive impact of yoga on their overall well-being.

Peer-to-Peer Learning workshop on “SQL-A Practical Introduction to Databases

Database Club of Department of IT organized a one-day Peer-to-Peer Learning workshop on SQL- A Practical Introduction to Databases on 21st June 2024
for MCA-II Semester students in Lab-III, AB-IV Block. The objective of this Peer-to-Peer workshop was to give opportunity to the students to well prepare their topic and present it in front of their class peers. This approach not only build confidence but also improves the presentation & communication skills among the students.
The workshop was inaugurated by the Director(IT), Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, Course Chairperson, Prof. Puja Dhar, Database Club Faculty Coordinator, Prof. Saurabh Saxena. In his welcome address Dr. Pandey appreciated the students of MCA-II Semester, Pravin and Abhishek Kapoor who voluntarily came forward for the conduct of this workshop. Chairperson MCA also praised the students who took this initiative to conduct the Peer-to-Peer workshop on SQL. Prof. Saxena also congratulated the both students.
The workshop discussed the following mentioned topics:
Introduction to Databases: Both the students had explained very nicely the importance of Databases in the real life projects and their course curriculum.
SQL Command Implementation: Abhishek Kapoor, MCA-II Semester student discussed about the various DDL and DML commands with proper hands-on. While as Pravin, MCA-II Semester student discussed about the various commands of TCL and DCL with proper hands-on.
Student participants were happy to see the way the both students conducted the workshop and how they cleared at least all doubts of their peers.
The day was full of practical exposure on the SQL commands and implementation of various queries. At the end of the workshop both the student-speakers were felicitated with token of appreciation by Director(IT), Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, Course Chairperson, Prof. Puja Dhar and Prof. Saurabh Saxena, Database Club Faculty Coordintor.

Department of Management, I.T.S, Ghaziabad organized ADIEU 2024, the Farewell ceremony for MBA(2022-24) batch on June 20, 2024.
With the objective to bid a hearty farewell to their seniors, students of MBA batch (2023-25) organized ADIEU- 2024, the Farewell Fiesta that witnessed the charm oftogetherness of students and faculty members.
The event commenced withjunior students welcoming and greeting their seniors enthusiastically when the senior students of MBA (2022-24),proudly walked to the venue, smartly dressed.The event was inaugurated with the ceremonial lamp lighting followed by the welcome address of Dr. Uma Gulati, Chairperson MBA program. Dr. V.N. Bajpai, Director of the Institute addressed the students by remarkably highlighting the importance of ADIEU, which is not just farewell from their collegebut also entry to their corporate career journey. He conveyedto outgoing batch to always see themselves as good ambassadors of the institute andto keep on strengthening the relationship with their Alma-mater.
The junior batch students held the audience with their heart throbbing performances followed byfun filled games in which the senior students participated with full enthusiasm. Rib ticklingjokes created an atmosphere of fun and frolic.The most awaited moment of the event was conferring of the coveted titles to thestudents.
Ms. Shandilya Khushi Tarunbhaiand Mr. Ujjwal Chaudhary won the titles of Ms. Farewell & Mr. Farewell,and Ms. Simranjeet Kaur and Mr. Anurag Kaushik grabbed the title of Ms. Popular andMr. Popular titles, respectively.
Students had mixed emotions as they were leaving the institute and their friends but on theother hand were also excited about as to what future holds for them. They clicked pictures with their juniors and faculty members as a token of remembrance.
At the end, students were all geared to rock the dance floor. With dancing shoes put on,all the students enjoyed the DJ night. The farewell ceremony ended with enjoyment andmixed emotions all around.
