Students were given the task of developing a business plan covering various aspects like, Idea Innovation, Market Research, Feasibility, Execution Strategy, Presentation.

The "Ideathon" event successfully achieved its objectives of promoting entrepreneurial zeal and public speaking abilities among the students. The active participation and enthusiastic engagement of students made the event a resounding success. He further highlighted that Generative AI is a game-changer in marketing. It enables businesses to create personalized content, streamline content creation, gain deeper customer insights, engage in real-time, and harness predictive analytics. By leveraging artificial intelligence, brands can deliver highly targeted and relevant content. Generative AI can help build powerful, personable, personalized content and/or customer experiences by combining data analysis, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning algorithms.

Alumni Talk on “A journey with ITS Achievers: Alumni experience sharing for MBA 2024-26 Batch

Institute of Technology & Science  organized an alumni talk on November 25, 2024 for the students of MBA 2024- 26 Batch.

The guest of the day was Ms. Shiksha Rawat- Marketing Manager at LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd and an alumna of ITS MBA batch of 2017-19. In her interaction with the students, Ms. Rawat nostalgically remembered her journey during the two-year program. She urged the students to actively groom themselves and become ready for corporate life ahead. She also inspired the students to take advantage of every opportunity for learning something new every day.

In her address, Ms. Rawat also detailed on her own journey with the LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd and highlighted the ways in which it improved her on professional and personal fronts. She discussed that being focused on one’s goal is the mantra for success and staying committed to the goal is the fuel to this journey. Ms. Shiksha made prudent use of anecdotes and stories to drive home the basic principles of success and engaged students in brief activities which were thoroughly enjoyed by the participants.

The session covered key topics such as ego states, transactional patterns, and conflict resolution strategies, offering students actionable takeaways for their professional growth.

Skill Spark Forge: Igniting HR Excellence for MBA 2024-26 under METANOIA- The HR Club at I.T.S

The HR Club, METANOIA, of the Institute of Technology and Science, Ghaziabad, successfully organized an engaging event titled “Skill Spark Forge” on November 19, 2024 for the MBA 2024-26 batch students. This activity-based event was designed to nurture essential managerial skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving through three exciting rounds: Human Knot, Blind Drawing, and Case Escape.

The event commenced with an inspiring welcome address by Dr. Uma Gulati, Chairperson, who motivated the participants to embrace the activities as opportunities for growth and collaboration. Her words set a positive and enthusiastic tone for the day.

For the Human Knot range a total of 4 teams comprising 10 members each worked together to untangle themselves from a complex human knot. This activity fostered patience, teamwork, and strategic thinking, teaching students the importance of collective effort. For the 2nd round Blind Drawing

Participants paired up, with one drawing an image at the back of other and they were attempting to draw the same image over another back. The task tested clarity in communication and the ability to follow directions, emphasizing trust and mutual understanding. The 3rd round Case Escape where individuals  were presented with a challenging case scenario requiring brainstorming and innovative problem-solving under time constraints. The activity encouraged critical thinking and showcased participants' ability to work effectively under pressure.

The winners were decided at the end of the activity where Sheetal Gaur bagged the winning prize , followed by Ayushi Somya as 1st Runner up and Shristy Sharma as 2nd runner up.

Dr. Smita Barik, Faculty Coordinator, concluded the event by distributing prizes to the winners, applauding their performance, and encouraging all participants for their enthusiasm and effort.

Participants developed key skills such as effective communication, team building, and brainstorming, which are critical for their academic and professional journeys. The event fostered a spirit of camaraderie, creative thinking, and leadership among students.

The students were accompanied by faculty members from the IT Department. Upon arrival, they received a royal welcome from live folk musicians and dancers dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire, adding a festive and cultural touch to the experience.The day was also filled with adventure activities, featuring challenges like the Tyre Tunnel, Tyre Hopping, Balancing Beam, Commando Net, Commando Net Traverse Wall, Tyre Traverse Wall, Double Rope Bridge, Swinging Burma Bridge, Happy Hopper, Double Block Swing, Hanging Tyre Traverse, Inverted A Rope Bridge, Tyre Balance Bridge, Zig-Zag Walk, Cat Walk, Swinging Timber Log, V Bridge, Elephant Walk, Tyre Swing Walk, Swinging Plank, and Swinging Squares.Throughout the day, students enjoyed a variety of traditional foods and soft drinks. I.T.S Ghaziabad Hosts Five-Day Value-Added Program on Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in India for MBA Batch 2024-26

I.T.S Ghaziabad organised a five-day Value-Added Program for MBA first-year students (Batch 2024-26) in offline mode from November 12 to 16, 2024. The program aimed to enhance students' understanding of entrepreneurship and innovation, covering topics such as Innovation and Entrepreneurship, MSME Schemes, Entrepreneurial Finance, and the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in India. Esteemed speakers shared their expertise, offering valuable insights into these areas.

On 12th & 13th November, the focus was on the Entrepreneurial Environment and MSMEs. Mr. Ashish Thombre, emphasized innovation, startup incubation, and steps to build a startup, highlighting entrepreneurship's significance in innovation, job creation, and economic development. Mr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Director Gr-I, Ministry of MSME, DFO - Okhla, Delhi  delved into the critical role of MSMEs in the Indian economy, discussing initiatives like CHAMPIONS and ZED Certification, and their contributions to GDP and employment.

On 14th & 15th November centered on Entrepreneurial Finance, with CMA Pankaj Jain, Founder Jain Ventures providing an in-depth overview of funding mechanisms, including bootstrapping, angel investing, crowdfunding, venture capital, and IPOs. He also explained methods for estimating financial requirements and the criteria investors use during funding evaluations.

On 16th November, Mr. Praveen Kapoor, Co-Founder & Director, BeBoss Technology &Chairman- Startup Committee, Bhartiya MSME  discussed the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in India, detailing the roles of agencies like DPIIT, DICs, NSIC, NISBUD, and EDII in supporting entrepreneurship. He also covered the Startup India initiatives, state innovation rankings, and seed funding schemes, emphasizing the government’s role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

The program enabled students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, MSME processes, and startup financial strategies. Interactive discussions addressed their queries on entrepreneurship, funding, and MSME schemes. The initiative sparked curiosity and engagement, equipping students with essential tools for entrepreneurial success. The event began with six teams, each comprising three members, participating in the competition. They presented their unique app concepts, highlighting their purpose, features, target audience, and technological advantages over existing solutions. Between the presentations, an interactive filler activity titled "Guess the Technology" engaged the audience with games and quizzes on recent technological trends, adding a lively and participative element to the event.

Team Code Crafters, comprising Arpit Sharma, Shreya Yadav, and Shivam Bansal, stood out with their innovative app concept and insightful presentation. Their ideas impressed the judges, earning them the first-place award.

A total of twelve teams, each comprising three students, participated in the event. The event was divided into two main rounds, each testing different skills and knowledge areas. Students put forth impressive product concepts, demonstrating their creativity and understanding of market demands.

In the second round, teams took part in a product line identification exercise, where they visually analyzed and identified a product line of an established company. This task allowed them to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical identification challenges, enhancing their analytical skills in product segmentation.

The presentations were assessed by a panel led by Dr. Surender Tiwari, who provided insightful feedback on each team's performance. The judges evaluated the teams on parameters such as innovation, practicality, and strategic alignment with market needs. This event, exclusively for MBA students showcased enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. V.N. Bajpai, Director, along with Dr. Uma Gulati (Chairperson, MBA Program), Dr. Sanjeev Tandon (Faculty Coordinator for Sports), other faculty members, and students from the MBA batches of 2023-2025 and 2024-2026.

The event featured various sports activities including a 100m race for both boys and girls, a relay race for boys, badminton singles for both genders, and tug of war competitions. In the 100m race, Arpit and Shivam Kumar Mishra secured the top positions for boys, while Shivani Chandela and Shweta Tiwari led for girls. The relay race saw teams led by Akash Tanwar and Ansh claiming first and second positions respectively. Badminton singles winners included Nidhi Upadhyay and Shruti Yadav for girls, and Yoginder and Sumit Kumar for boys. Prof. Puja Dhar, Chairperson of the MCA program, shared insights into the progress and developments within the Department of IT over the past eight years. Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, Director of IT, addressed the attendees, emphasizing that the reunion was a celebration of the lasting bond between the alumni and their alma mater. He remarked, "Today, we celebrate not just our past, but also the bright future we continue to build together." The Department of Management at Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, actively participated in the GMA Badminton Competition held at RKGIT, Ghaziabad, on 19th October 2024.

Organized by the Ghaziabad Management Association (GMA), the event invited all member institutes to compete in a thrilling Badminton Doubles Tournament. The competition, structured as knock-out rounds, began at 3:00 PM at the RKGIT Badminton Auditorium. Four MBA students from the 2024-2026 batch of I.T.S represented the institute: Harsh Rathour (MBA-I, Sec: B), Prashant Goswami (MBA-I, Sec: A), Lakshya Tyagi (MBA-I, Sec: D), and Yoginder (MBA-I, Sec: B).

Throughout the tournament, the I.T.S players demonstrated commendable sportsmanship and determination. After several competitive rounds, the pair of Harsh Rathour and Prashant Goswami secured the Runners-Up position, making the Institute proud with their exceptional performance. The event culminated in a prize distribution ceremony at 5:00 PM, presided over by Mr. Rahul Agrawal, Executive Director of GMA.
