The Department of Management organized “Workshop on Design Thinking” for the participants of MBA batch 2021-23 on 17th December, 2021.
Design thinking has become an essential part of business decision making in present times. To keep abreast with the increasing utility and applications of design thinking in management decision making, the workshop was planned.
The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Deepak Kumar, Founder- Flowing River, Business Growth Expert: Associate Vice President - MSME @CIMSME, Director on Board, Indian Society of NLP. The resource person began the workshop with some interesting and engaging examples showing design thinking in our day-to-day life. He also enlightened the participants about how we, unconsciously, use creativity and design thinking in our life. The importance of creative thinking and creative problem solving was also discussed.
Further into the session, the resource person talked about user- experience design and how companies have to focus on the process of design thinking including empathy, define, ideate, prototype and test in order to provide user the experience that matters. Then he shared some very interesting cases upon which he explained how design thinking helped the companies to become more productive and efficient and transformed their products and services to fit the customer needs better. He also gave practical exercises to perform in which all students enthusiastically participated and enjoyed. Lastly, he clarified doubts and handled participants’ queries to end the workshop on a conclusive note.
The workshop was well- organized, stimulating, participative and students learned the practical application of design thinking well.
Binary (IT & Operations) club organized the activity “Techno Master” for MBA(2021-23) Batch

I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad, organized an activity “Techno Master” for MBA 2021-23 batch students on December 17th, 2021.
The objective of the activity was to enhance the knowledge related to current scenarios and technical changes in digital world.
The activity consist dual rounds which were organized through online as well face to face participation.
Total 5 members were selected from all 16 participated students .There were 15 questions asked in the buzzer round from all five participants and who gives correct answers were awarded 10 Marks . Each individual have to press the buzzer as soon as possible and answer the basic technical questions. Winner of the Activity Were- Mansi Verma , Rajnish Kumar & Vikas Tripathi
Activity was concluded with vote of thanks by Faculty Coordinator Prof. Mansi Singh. The Winners were felicitated with certificates. The activity was a great success where students enjoyed a lot along with fun and learning and extra privileges also given to the audience sitting over. A random question round is also arranged for them for their learning and experience enhancement and appreciated them with small gifts.
Online Alumni Talk on “Theory to Practice” by Ms. Megha Mittal for MBA (2021-23) batch students

An online Alumni Talk by Ms. Megha Mittal, Enterprise Solutions Specialist, Pepsico, New York City, United States and Alumnus of MBA (2007-09) was delivered on 17th December, 2021.
The session was organised for MBA 2021-23 Batch.
The Talk was started with the welcome address by Prof. Durba Roy, Head CRC followed by address of Dr. D.K. Pandey, Chairperson – Alumni Committee. The Topic of the talk was “Theory to Practice”. The purpose of organising the talk was to get participants aware about the Gaps between theory knowledge or classroom knowledge and knowledge required for Industry opportunities.
Ms. Megha Mittal talked about her journey from management trainee to her current post at Pepsico. She started her talk by asking a few questions to the students 1. What is your aim of doing MBA, 2. Have you planned the path to achieve your aim, 3. Have you identified your weaknesses which will become hurdles in achieving your aim etc.
She discussed that she has faced lots of issues and hurdles for pursuing her job in a different country, having a different work culture. She also discussed how she has overcome her weaknesses and become successful in her career. She discussed the importance of communication for achieving a successful career and stable job. In the end Dr. D.K Pandey gave a virtual plaque to Ms. Megha Mittal as a token of regards on behalf of the institute.

Objective of the workshop was to impress upon the students the need of developing a theoretically and practically sound curriculum with strong “Bootstrap “concepts.
Programming club of Department of IT organized one day workshop for MCA Second year Students. The session was conducted by Mr.Durgesh Kumar, student of MCA final year. In this workshop students acknowledged a complete knowledge of Web Technology . Web technology refers to the means by which computers communicate with each other using markup languages and multimedia packages. It gives us a way to interact with hosted information, like websites. Web technology involves the use of hypertext markup language (HTML) and cascading style sheets (CSS), XML, PHP and many more. Bootstrap is the most popular HTML, CSS, and JavaScript framework for developing responsive, mobile-first web sites. Bootstrap is completely free to download and use.
The key points that were enclosed in the workshop were:

In this workshop the students were introduced to topics in Web Technology. Students got an idea how to create web pages All the students really appreciated the contents that were discussed, they realized that interactions likes these can help them improve their learning. Students showed keen interest in attending more workshops like this in future
Inception ’21- MBA Fresher Party

Management Department at I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organised Inception 21 Fresher Party to welcome new Batch of MBA 2021-23 on 10th December 2021.
The program commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting and Ganesh Vandana performed by MBA-II Year Students.
Shri. Surender Sood , Director-PR , I.T.S-The Education Group congratulated all the students in the new journey they have undertaken. He further stated that hard work and perseverance are the keys to success. Dr. V.N Bajpai Director MBA and Dr. Surendra Tiwari, MBA Chairperson also blessed the new batch.
The event witnessed some enthusiastic performances by the 2020 and 2021 batch. Group dances and Fashion shows were spectacular and simply mesmerised the audience.
Mr. Anuj Gupta and Ms. Lavisha Malkani were crowned as Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher respectively.
The program was a huge success as it gave a great opportunity to both the batches for interaction as well as provided a platform for the new batch to showcase their talents. The program ended with gift distribution and high tea.

Prof. Parul Gupta, Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, participated and presented a
Paper titled ‘Understanding the accumulation and returns of employee emotional capital with respect to organizations operating in India’ in Management Doctoral Colloquium (Shodh Samagam) organised by IIM – Vishakhapatnam dated December 9-10, 2021. It was a two days virtual event where out of 250 entries, 50doctoral scholars from premier institutes across India were selected to present their research works.
The objective of the colloquium was to create a platform for research scholars can seek knowledge, learn new research techniques, and receive feedback from eminent academicians. The colloquium offered constructive feedback and insightful comments to the research scholars for enhancing their research and making valuable contribution to their respective domains.
Workshop on “Technical Analysis of the Stock Market” for MBA students

Institute of Technology & Science (I.T.S), Ghaziabad has organised a Workshop on “Technical Analysis of the Stock Market” on 7thDecember, 2021. The workshop was organized as a part of industry delivery in the course of Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management for the students finance specialization of MBA (3rd Semester)20-22 batch.
The key resource person for the occasion was Dr. Nitin Kulshrestha, who is the Director of Geo-Cosmic Analytics & Research Venture and SEBI and NISM Certified Research Analyst and Merchant Banker. He has more than 20 years of experience of stock market analysis and also PhD in fundamental and technical analysis.
Dr. Kulshrestha enlightened the students about the recent trend of equity market. He talked about various methods of technical analysis, relevance and uses of technical analysis. He also mentioned key measurement tools like aim broker and meta stock. He used upstrox platform for trading.
Dr. Kulshrestha briefly talked about candlestick pattern, price volume relation, candlestick pattern and indicators; and also discussed about the role of technical analysis for risk and return and anticipation of the future price. At last, he held forth on the emotional control and behavioral biases.
After this fruitful discussion he also took a round of questions from the students. Dr. Kulshrestha patiently answered all the questions, explaining each fully to the satisfaction of the students.
The lecture was started with welcoming of guest by Dr Puneet Kumar, Assistant Professor of Finance, in the department of management, I.T.S, Ghaziabad. At the end of the session, Dr. Vinay Kumar Srivastava, Associate Professor, I.T.S Ghaziabad put on record his concluding remarks and presented a plaque to the guest as a token of gratitude and remembrance.
Industry Visit to Avro India Limited by MBA (2020-22) students

I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organized an Industry Visit for MBA 2020-22 Batch to Avro India Limited on December 4th, 2021.
AVRO INDIA LIMITED (formerly known as Avon Moldplast Limited) is a Plastic Moulded Furniture manufacturing unit based in Ghaziabad since 2002 with PAN INDIA presence in the Brand Name of AVRO & AVON, and having one of the largest product range manufactured with imported machines and moulds in the highly automatic environment that follows global quality standards.
The students were given an elaborated tour of the production process and were explained the various processes and functioning of the departments.
The Company officials were highly cooperative and answered all the queries of the students.
Guest Talk on “Understanding Importance of Data Analytics using Power BI” for MBA students

Institute of Technology and Science, Ghaziabad organized a guest talk on "Understanding Importance of Data Analytics using Power BI" for participants of MBA (2020-22) batch on December 4th, 2021.
The expert for the session was– Mr. Abhimanyu Ahluwalia, Project Manager at Deloitte, Gurugram.
Mr. Abhimanyu Ahluwalia shared his views about various types of Power BI reports and compared these reports with SQL reports. He shared about the role of Extraction, transformation, and loading in data mining. He also discussed various patterns in large data sets and how these patterns help in Prediction Analytics. He also explained about Business Intelligence data architecture to handle the ingestion, processing, and analysis of data that is too large and complex for a traditional database system. He discussed the roles and responsibilities of Data analysts in terms of collecting and cleaning data. He further talked about machine learning techniques i.e., supervised learning, Unsupervised Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and the application of machine learning in business domains.
The lecture ended with deep insight into different types of data mining techniques used in the industry for fast data analysis and data visualizations. Towards the conclusion of the session, he welcomed intriguing questions from students and answered them comprehensively. The session was highly interactive and participants appreciated the insights delivered by the speaker.
IB club organizes the activity “TRIVIA CRACK” for MBA(2021-23) Batch

I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad, organized an activity “TRIVIA CRACK” for MBA 2021-23 batch students on December 3rd, 2021.
The objective of the activity was to enhance and boost up participants’ International business knowledge. The activity consisted of two rounds. Round 1 comprised of 12 teams (each of 3 members) to participate in a treasure hunt event and collect things whose details were already provided to them. Based on the earliest time, 6 teams were shortlisted for the final round.
The final round of the activity was based on quizzing the teams for various International business-related events, entrepreneurs, company logos, etc. Later, a concluding remark was given by all the judges about the activity the words of appreciation for all participants and for club members. The winners were Nishant, Akash, and Sanjeet.

Merit and Performance Award Ceremony for MBA (2020-22) batch

I.T.S - Mohan Nagar, Management Department organized a Merit and Performance Award Ceremony for MBA (2020-22) batch on November 30th 2021.
The ceremony was graced by the benign presence of Shri. Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman I.T.S - The Education Group; Shri. Surinder Sood, Director PR, I.T.S – The Education Group; Director, Dr. D K Agrawal and Dr. Surendra Tiwari, Chairperson MBA.
The beginning of the ceremony was marked by the motivating speech by Shri. Arpit Chadha who motivated the students by emphasizing that how values in life are important in all walks of life which makes everyone in life a true winner.
Shri. Surinder Sood addressed the students & revealed the importance of competition amongst the students and motivated them to have the spirit of continuous improvement.
Dr. D K Agrawal discussed the importance of small achievements and efforts of life which cumulatively become big for future. He congratulated all awardees and their parents for the success of their wards. Dr. Surendra Tiwari shared brief overview of the event with the audience.
The students were presented with awards in three categories as follows:
· Top 3 Merit Holders of MBA I Year.
· Top 10 position Holders of MBA I Semester
· Top 10 position Holders of MBA II Semester
· Top 10 improvements in MBA II semester over MBA I semester. .
33 students were awarded under the above categories. Top three Positions of MBA I Year (2020-22) bagged the Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000 by Nancy Gutpa; Rs. 7,500 by Shrang Singh & Rs. 5,000 by Kiran respectively. Rest of the awardees were rewarded with certificates of Merit & Improvement.
The event culminated with a Hi-Tea for Parents & Awardees.
Industrial Visit to Mother Dairy for the students of MBA batch 2021-23

The Department of Management, I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organised an industry visit to Mother Dairy, Delhi for the students of MBA batch 2021-23 on November 26, 2021.
The objective of the visit was to provide the newly admitted batch a unique learning exposure by closely observing the functioning of an industrial operation.
The visit began with a nice drink of milk offered to all participant in the company compound. Following that, Ms. Neha, a company representative, gave brief knowledge about the history of successful years of Mother Diary and also describes the number of products produced by the organization and what is the process of making such high-quality milk and other products which nearly has maximum number of shares in the market. She informed about the company and its different products, followed by a foray into the entire processing at the plant. She described how Mother Dairy is achieving consumer satisfaction by continuously ensuring quality in its range of products. She also discussed how Mother Dairy is facing the increasing competition and its future plans to expand the operations in the untapped markets of India.
Further, she gave the students a guided tour of the premises while providing information about how the milk and dairy products began to be produced in India. She also spoke about the past years’ experience at Mother Dairy and how the organisation used to compete in different states by different names of same products. She also explained about the process of ensuring the quality and hygiene of milk and as well as the contribution of the farmers. The entire process of ‘clarification, homogenisation and pasteurisation was well explained.
Overall it was a memorable day out for the students. They found the session highly informative and engaging and raised many queries which were duly answered.
Alumni Talk on “Opportunities in Publication Industry” fro MBA (2021-23) batch

Institute of Technology & Science Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad has organized an alumni talk on “Opportunities in Publication Industry” on 26th November, 2021.
The speaker for the session was Ms. Sarita Yadav, Sr. Project Manager, Aptara, alumnus of MBA 2005-07 Batch. The session was organized for students of MBA 2021-23 Batch. The motive behind the session is to discuss the possible opportunities available in the Publication Industry after MBA and to impart the key skills required to get the job in the Publication Industry.
The session was started with the welcome address by Dr. V.N. Bajpai, Dean Accreditation and welcome address by Dr. D.K Pandey, chairperson Alumni Committee. Ms. Sarita started her talk with the introduction of the publishing industry and details of her job profile. She also discussed how she utilized the available resources at the institute to sharpen her skills during her MBA program.
She discussed the challenges that students face in communication and the importance of communication in the publishing industry. In her discussion, she emphasized on the importance of classroom attendance during MBA courses as well as the role of summer internship during the second year of the course. She also shared her beautiful memories about I.T.S and she thanks I.T.S for the support provided during her 2 years program.
At the end of the session Dr. Nitin Saxena shared her views and common issues of MBA students while preparing for placement and presented a plaque as a token of regards to Ms. Sarita on behalf of the institute.
Guest Lecture on “GST – Introduction and Implementation” for MBA (2020-22) batch

Institute of Technology & Science Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad has organized a Guest Lecture on “GST – Introduction and Implementation” on 25th November, 2021.
The talk was organized as a part of industry delivery in Financial Planning and Tax Management in 3rd Semester of MBA (2020-22) batch. The guest for the talk was CA Vishal Sharma, Founding Partner, Ecoo Global and Ex Finance Head Luxor Writing Instruments Ltd.
The lecture started with welcoming guest with play sapling. As Goods and Service Tax is now an integral part of our economic system and has changed the scenario of indirect tax in India, It is important to impart knowledge. Mr. Vishal Sharma has started his talk with simple terminologies of GST. He also shared the registration process, List of goods and Services with the specific tax rates .
During his session Mr. Vishal has shown the official portal of GST. He shared the information on how you can use various links available on the portal. These links include new registration links, updating key information related to the firm and company, Input Tax Credits , quarterly tax returns etc.
