Guest Lecture “Managing Project Using Quantitative Techniques” for MBA students.

I.T.S - Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, Department of Management organized an Online Guest Lecture on the topic “Managing Projects Using Quantitative Techniques” for MBA first year students on 31st July, 2021. Director (Management) Prof. (Dr.) D.K. Agarwal welcomed the speaker, Ms. Alpana Gautam.
Ms. Alpana Gautamis presently working as an Infrastructure Service Manager. She is a technocrat with 13 years of rich experience in the IT/Telecom sector, with a variety of roles in transition / operations/ support, process expert and project manager.
The session was focused on project lifecycle and the stages that are included in it i.e., initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control. She also discussed the project triple constraint i.e., time, scope, cost and how a manager uses these constraints for the betterment of the organization and the stakeholder. And in the end Ms. Alpana discussed some of the common techniques for project planning which are helpful in Breakdown structure, Gantt chart, Kanban, Analogous Estimation, Parametric Estimation, Bottom-up Estimation, Critical Path Method (CPM), Program Evaluation; Review Technique (PERT).
Q/A round was held at the end where the speaker cleared all the queries of the students regarding project management. It was an engrossing lecture. The event concluded with the presentation of virtual plaques as a token of gratitude and remembrance to the guest speaker Ms. Alpana Gautam.

Online Elementary FDP on “Quantification of Human Resource with HR Analytics’" from 19.07.2021 to 23.07.2021 at DATTA MEGHE INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES.
The online FDP witnessed participation from 80 selected Faculty members from across India. The resource person of the program was Ms. Megha Dixit, DGM – HR & Training, Cancer Hospital, Bombay & Dr. Rahul Pratap Singh Kaurav , Assistant Professor, Prestige institute of Management, Gwalior. The details of the topics covered were Business Analytics-The HR Perspective, Business Understanding for HR Initiatives , HR Balance Score Card, Data Analytics with tool pak , HR Analytics- Tableau .
There were daily assignments given by the organizing Institutions. At the end of the training program one test was also conducted, in which it was mandatory to achieve minimum 60% marks. This was a great learning experience for me while attending all the sessions and it would definitely help me in my teaching-learning process in the field of HR analytics.
It was highly interactive with practical applications of analytics and Tableau. The resource person being a HR Analytics trainer, brought his valuable knowledge and applications to the discussion and created deep learning during the entire FDPprogram.
Workshop of “Website development” for MBA students

Department of Management, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organised a Workshop on the topic “Website Development using Word Press” on 18th July,2021 for MBA-II Semester students. The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Anshul Srivastava, Digital Marketing Manager at Pro QC International, Noida.
The workshop was aimed at giving hands-on experience on website and blog development. Mr. Anshul explained the related concepts of webhosting and domain name. He further demonstrated how easily one can use the tool of Word press and build a website without coding. He also told students about the various plugins which can be used while using Word Press and how social media tabs can be inserted. The students also learned how web pages can be developed ad edited.
Further in the session he also explained how Yoast SEO functions and how it can be used as a plugin in order to achieve SEO rankings. Towards the end of the session Google analytics was explained. All the real-time data was used to explain the functionality of the tool, such as incoming traffic, page views, session duration etc.
Students raised their queries with respect to SEO and the inorganic way of marketing. A virtual plaque was presented at the session as a token of gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Anshul.

The Department of Management of Institute of Technology and Science, MohanNagar, Ghaziabad organised an Alumni Talk on “Grow with SAP”on 10th July, 2021 for the MBA students in virtual mode (Zoom).
The talk was addressed by Ms. Annu Thapa, an alumnus of MBA(2012-14) batch. Ms. Annu is working as a Senior Manager with EXL. She has also contributed her services as a SeniorExecutive in Genpact India Private Limited. With a working experience of more than 6 years, she gave some practical lessons to the students.
She introduced the concept of SAP among the students, and indicated as to how important it is in their upcoming career. She also highlighted some practical tips which the student should take care during the placement interviews. He talk was mainly focussed on how the students can be more prepared to face the questions in their placement interviews.
The MBA students especially finance specialisation raised several queries regarding various certification and trainings related to their subject. The talk was attended by more than 130 MBA students.
At the end of the session, a virtual plaque was presented by Dr. Nitin Saxena as a token of gratitude. Overall, the session was very informative and practical.

A Session on “Stress Management through Yoga” on the Occasion of "International Yoga Day" for PGDM/MBA students

During the session Students & Faculty members performed various stress reliever exercises like; Anulom-Vilom, Chakrasana, Kapalbhati etc.
Students enjoyed all the exercises and learnt them. At the end Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director- Management, during her address to the gathering said, that, in the fast-pace modern world and globalization, the academic fraternity and students, knowingly and unknowingly undergo through some pressure and stress which are resulting some physical and mental disorders like lack of discipline, confidence, concentration, focus, memory, strength, efficiency, creativity and resulting in chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, code of conduct and disrupted relationships. Therefore in present scinerio, Yoga is the only solution of all these problems, and hence we all should do yoga exercises everyday. Director Ma'am also thanked to Acharya Mukesh ji for the wonderful session taken by him.
Alumni Talk on “Impact of Covid 19 on Employers, Employees & Job Opportunities ”

Department of management of Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad has organized an Alumni Talk on ‘Impact of Covid 19 on Employers, Employees & Job Opportunities’ on 19th June, 2021
for the MBA students in virtual mode. The talk was started at 1:30 PM with the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Vidya Sekhri, Director (Management).
The talk was addressed by Ms. Ritu Singhal, an alumnus of MBA (2008-10) Batch. Presently, she is working as Sr. Manager, HR in Zopper. She has 10+ years of experience in acquiring , managing and developing Human Resources. She highlighted the Impact of Covid 19 on Employers, Employees & Job Opportunities. She discussed how to stay focused on keeping ‘Human’ alive in ‘Human Resource Management’.
She also highlighted a few points like how to select the best career prospects, how to make yourself corporate ready in this current situation of COVID 19, and she also enlightened that “As a student we should focus on our strengths and make the best out of ourselves and don’t be worry about any situation or circumstances, if you have the right skills and talent, you will be definitely getting that dream opportunity for yourself”. Also she asked the students to choose the specialization from their interest area. The main objective of this Alumni talk was to enhance the confidence and courage of the students in this situation of pandemic.
Towards the end of the session, Q/A round was held in which the speaker answered all the questions of the students and cleared all their doubts regarding future objectives.
The session was attended by more than 70 management students. It was truly an enlightening session for all the participants. And at last Dr. Vivek Pachauri Faculty (Management) concluded the session with his concluding remark. Dr. Nitin Saxena, Faculty (Management) presented a virtual plaque as a token of attitude and remembrance to the speaker.
BINARY CLUB Organized “Yogदान”

Department of Management at ITS Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized a Binary Club activity “YoGदान” for MBA (2020-22) students on 18th June, 2021.
The activity was conducted in the presence of Binary Club coordinator PROF. MANSI SINGH. The purpose of the activity was to enhance the knowledge related to Indian freedom fighters among students with respect to the parameters of remembrance and accuracy.
The activity consist single round which was organized through MS teams application. Total 12 teams were participated in which each team has 2 members in the activity. There were 4 question asked for each team related to Slogan identification, Voice Identification and Pictures identification of various freedom fighters.

IIC Virtual Session On BUILDING A CONSUMER FRIENDLY INNOVATIVE PRODUCT

The Institute Innovation Council of I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organized an online session on “Building a Consumer-Friendly Innovative Product”.
The resource person for the occasion was Mr. Rajat Bharadwaj, Founder and CEO of Jupiter Air and Space. Mr Bharadwaj has been an aerospace engineer with NASA.
Mr Bharadwaj started the session with a presentation on “Understanding the Product before Development”. He explained that one needs to understand the problem through indepth market research, so as to gain insights on all aspects. He also reasoned that product development requires a coordinated approach with a view to optimise resources. He added that because of a dynamic market it is necessary to remain updated constantly so as to survive and adapt.
Mr Bharadwaj also held forth on how innovation contributes to market change. The company needs to be on par with its competition through data, information and knowledge that is constantly refreshed. He also emphasised on a personalised approach towards the customer, so that she is alive to the product. Internal development is the need of the hour for gaining a proper understanding of the customer. The company needs to stay in touch with the market and remain conscious via feedback.
Towards the end of the session several queries were raised by the students, which were effectively handled by Mr Bharadwaj. It turned out to be an enlightening session for all present.
