Mr. Shubham Mendiratta, Finance Analyst, EY, Alumnus MBA (2015-17) interacted with the Finance Specialization students of MBA(2018-20)Batch on 5th October, 2019.
He guided the students as to how they need to plan, acquire the skill sets and move towards the career as a Finance Analyst. He also discussed how one needs to be versatile in working and acquiring knowledge across all departments in an organization as a business analyst profile is not just one department specific but one needs to know all departments very well. He also motivated them to work hard as no big dreams can be fulfilled until and unless an equal amount of hard work has been put into. The students also asked various queries which were duly addressed by the speaker. The session was highly interactive and insightful for the students.
I.T.S Cup U.P. Senior State Fide Rated Chess Championship-2019

Chess Sports Association Ghaziabad rganized “I.T.S Cup UP Senior State Fide Rated Chess Championship- 2019” under the aegis of UP Chess Sports Association in I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad sports complex from 4th October 2019 to 7th October, 2019.
More than 200 contestants from different districts of UP state are expected to participate in this Championship contest.
The Championship tournament was inaugurated by the chief guest Sh. Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S -The Education Group & Vice President of Ghaziabad District Chess Association, Shri Charul Bhatnagar, General Secretary ( U.P.Chess Sports Association, Ghaziabad), Mr. Raj kumar (International Arbitrator), Sh.Yash Raj (Deputy Chief Arbitrator), Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director (Management), Dr. Sunil Pandey, Director (IT), Prof. Nancy Sharma, Vice Principal(UG) and Dr. D.K.Pandey (Faculty Sports Coordinator) with ceremonial lamplighting to Goddess of Learning Maa Saraswati in I.T.S Sports Complex.
This Championship aimed for nurturing chess players at national and international level and promotion & development of chess in the state of U.P in all age groups.

Faculty of Department of Management participated in IInd National Conference on Management Innovations Infocomm Technology and Values- Changing paradigm in Business” held on Friday, 04 October, 2019 at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology Delhi.
Dr. Surendra Tiwari attended National Conference and presented his paper on “New gateways in Financial services through Blockchain”. Conference was intended to take stock of recent advances and development of knowledge bases and also the disruptions caused by latest advancements at the globally competitive environment that will decide the future directions to young researchers and practitioners.
Objective of conference was to help in sharing of experience and exchange of ideas, which will also foster National Collaboration. The Conference was of immense benefit to Researchers, Academicians, Industry and Participants from Technical Institutes, R&D organizations, Management and students working in the field of Management, Engineering, Law and Education.

Staff Development Program at I.T.S Dental College, Murad Nagar

Prof. Yachna Malhotra of I.T.S - Mohan Nagar conducted a training program on "Effective Communication and Business Etiquettes" at I.T.S Dental College,Murad Nagar for the staff members of Admission team, Registrar office and the OPD executives.
Participants were highly delighted to have such an opportunity to learn and add new set of skills and competencies so as to develop and enrich their capabilities as a successful professionals and to contribute the best possible to the students and hence the learning environment was highly interactive and resulted in deep routed team cohesiveness among the participants.
Initially to get connected with the participants, an ice breaking session was conducted to get affiliated with each other by introducing each other with sharing their feelings and disclosure of strengths and weaknesses so as to predict personality traits of the participants.
The training was a mix of both the slide show coupled with some interesting activities to sensitize the staff members for giving effective and quality service in general and making their interactions with students more polite, clear and result oriented.
An activity on Non-Verbal Communication (Guess Who?) was conducted among the participants to make them understand and demonstrate the importance of Body Language, Gestures and Facial Expressions in the process of effective communication. Participants were over whelmed with the outputs and experiences they had during the game. Again this was followed by Role Plays covering the situations from their day to day work routine in which all the members actively participated and understood the importance of professional etiquettes and how this can increase our efficiency and effectiveness at work place.
Prof. Yachna Malhotra offered thanks to all participants for their patient listening and active participation during the session. The essential arrangements and hospitality hosted by Manager Admissions was praise worthy.
Faculty attended Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights

One day workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights” was attended by Dr. Vivek Pachauri, Assistant Professor, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad on 1 October 2019
at AKTU, Sector 62, Noida Campus. The workshop focused upon creating awareness of IPR among faculty and Ph.D Scholars of AKTU and provide some important information on IPR and filing of patents. AKTU has its IPR policy and would like to facilitate Patent filing for the faculty and students of AKTU. Experts having expertise in IPR were the resource persons for this IPR workshop. The experts were Dr. K.S. Kardam ,former Sr. Joint controller of patents & Design (Patent office New Delhi), Mr. Yashwant , Patent Controller, Tifac. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Dutta, Dean R & D AKTU. The resource persons further gave a deep insight about the benefits, process and sources for filing the patents. Overall It was a good learning from the workshop.
Utthan - Activity - “Save Environment, Save Earth”

Utthan, a CSR initiative of Department of Management at I.T.S - Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized a session on how to save environment and earth for school students in the college campus. Student volunteers of management department explained the students different ways to save the environment and how pollution can be reduced.
In the first segment of the activity, students were taken to computer labs. In this, they were asked to prepare the posters on the given theme with the help of MS Paint which they have been learning so far. Many students made beautiful posters on the given theme using different tools of MS Paint.
In the second session, students presented their views on how to save the environment and their posters were shown to all in the auditorium. Students were also shown motivational videos for the same which they admired a lot.
Best presentations along with posters were awarded with gifts and prizes.
Dr. Nitin Saxena and Prof. Shilpi Rana, Faculty Coordinators of Utthan Club and Dr. Durba Roy, Head - CRC along with student volunteers felicitated the event by distributing Prizes to all the winners of the activity.
All the students were given refreshment at the end of the session.

Industry Visit to Escorts Agri Machinery for MBA

Department of Management at I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad organised an Industry Visit to “Escorts Agri Machinery” Plant, Faridabad for MBA first year students on September 27th 2019. Students visited the plant where they were shown the production facility of the Tractors.
Ms. Sowmani Chatterjee, HR briefed the students about the Company, its background, the verticals and the various brands manufactured. She also briefed about some of the HR practices in the Company. Students were served snacks and Lunch at the Company.
Students were divided into two groups and each group was taken to a sperate plant. The students were taken to the shop floor where they were explained the assembly process of the tractors. Students raised several questions regarding the working of the shifts.
Overall it was a great learning experience for MBA students.

With an objective to create best learning opportunities to MCA Students, Department of IT, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad has organised session in the Video Conferencing Series on “Solving the Data Protection Dilemma” through Video Conferencing on 26th September 2019 at Institute premises.
Objective of this Webinar was to provide complete understanding of Data which has critical component of business success. There is need to understand backup and recovery requirements and also provide protected environment. According to reports from IDC and Gartner, unstructured data is growing at a rate of over 60% annually 1 . This massive growth has posed new data challenges for backing up data within target windows, and cost-effectively managing this increasingly complex data landscape to comply with regulations.
In Session, Mr Mathew Hardwan, Hitachi Vantara APAC discussed about Hitachi Data Protection Suite (HDPS), powered by Commvault and it’s related case Studies. and Mr. Andrew Bell, CommvaultAPAC ,focused on HDPS and HCP: Modern, Unified Data Protection and Management and its comparison, benefits and disadvantages to depth understanding of concepts.
It was overall good learning experience for all the participants.
MARKETING CLUB- MERCATO organised “BRAND MATRIX”

MARKETING CLUB- MERCATO organised “BRAND MATRIX” on 25 September 2019 for MBA Batch 2019-21 on 25th September, 2019.
The Major objective behind this event was to enhance the team work and to showcase the talent in the creative end of marketing for the budding managers.
The event had two round to compete:
1. Quiz- In this students have to visualize the logo, tagline, CEO of the brands.
2. Marketing Strategies of Unrealistic Product- In this round students have to do discuss 4 p’s, budget, Strategies of the product that are unrealistic and non existing.
There were certain parameters for judgement including creativity, confidence, team work, content (delivery). This was the first club event for MBA 1st year and they portrayed great interest, enthusiasm and team spirit. Students have also shown their willingness for such future activities which may further enhance their learning and enrich their experience.
The teams adjudged winners were Vidhi Gupta and Vedarth (Istt Position) and Vidhi Pandit and Vidit for IInd Position
The Occasion was also graced by Dr. K K Dey. The entire activity was conducted under the mentorship of marketing club Co-Ordinator Dr. Garima Srivastav.

Mr. Desai gave the insights an insight as how can the management concepts of today be linked with the Mythology of our country.Mr. Desai gave ample examples from the rich culture and heritage of our country and told how Indians and Western Managers differ in their approaches and style of working. Mr. Desai also highlighted the importance of a complete skill set required for today’s mangers.
Overall the session was very participative and productive.

was organized during 21st September – 24th September 2019 at I.T.S Ghaziabad. On this occasion Dr. Drelichowski was also appointed as Visiting Professor in the field of Information Systems would also take one full course at the Institute in IT Courses.
The Appointment Letter was presented to him by Shri Arpit Chadha, our Vice Chairman, I.T.S - The Education Group. On this occasion Shri Chadha expressed his happiness and he said that such associations will provide our students and faculty members an opportunity to meet, interact and to learn, share and understand how global universities and Institutions are working.

The Session was organized in the series of the Global Expert Talks, an initiative of I.T.S, Ghaziabad for the students of the Institute. In the Session Dr. Polkowski discussed about the uses, applications and challenges in ICT Systems and addressed various queries of the Students of MCA Courses.
It was a very knowledge enriching Session.

Department of I.T, I.T.S, Mohan Nagar organized Special Session on “Software Testing” in Alumni Talk Series for MCA Students on 21st September, 2019.
Senior Alumni of MCA (2004) batch, Mr. Puneet Prakash Nigam,Conduent Business Services (I) LLP Senior Manager, App Dev & Support, Noida was the speaker of this session. While addressing the gathering, Director-IT, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey welcomed Mr. Nigam and said that it is always proud moment for him being a Director-IT to share dias with his student
from MCA Course.
In the Session, Mr. Nigam talkedabout the latest trends in IT Industry and explained the important attributes of communication needed for a successful start of career. He also guided them as how to prepare themselves. The session was very interactive, informative and knowledge enriching.
While talking to the students of MCA, Mr. Puneet Nigamfocused on Software Testing and told that students should focus on the basic concepts of the Testing. Mr. Puneet Nigam discussed on Software Development Life Cycles and outcomes of each phase of cycle.
He has discussed on Static Testing and Dynamic Testing with its types. He advised students to be focused towards studies and also upcoming technologies of Software Testing which are on demand in the corporate. Mr Nigam has also answered the queries raised during the session.

Cloud Computing is an area which is of every one’s concerned. A Special Session on “Cloud Computing” was organized on 24th September 2019 for MBA IInd year (2018-20) (IT Specialization) Students of I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad.
In this Session “Prof. Zdzislaw Polkowski”, Professor, Jan Wyzykowski University Poland and “Prof. Ludoslaw Drelichowski”, Professor, Poznan University of life sciences, Poland shared their knowledge on the importance of Cloud Computing in today’s scenario.
While addressing the gathering, Director(Management) Dr.Vidya Sekhri welcomed and said that it is always proud moment for her being a Director(Management) to share dias with her students from MBA students.
The Session started with Cloud Computing’s importance, roles and opportunities at different platforms. The Participants were also deliberated with the importance of Cloud Computing and its future prospects in Business Management.
Besides, the speakers also threw light on various career option available in cloud computing and also discuss UTM, GDPR and IaaS, PaaS and SaaS as well.They very vividly shared the concept of cloud computing with well defined examples from the industry.
The session was highly interactive and interesting and student learned the practical aspects of industry.
At the end there was a doubt session where the speakers clarified students’ queries. It was a wonderful session. Participants enjoyed the learning filled experience.
Guest Lecture organized for MBA students

Department of Management I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized a session for HR Specialized students of MBA III SEM on “Talent Acquisition and Performance Management (A Strategic Approach in current scenario)”.
The session was delivered by Ms. Bindiya Jain Manager (HR), Power system Operation Corporation Ltd., a Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Enterprise Ministry of Power with the objective that how strategically organization can work to acquire the Talent and manage their performance at work place. In the very beginning Dr. Vidya Sekhri (Director Management) felicitated the speaker with welcome and addressed the audience too with word of wisdom and motivation.
Ms. Bindiya focused upon various aspects; she started with how PSU’s works differently as compare to Private sector. She said HR policies are more robust in PSU’s. She told us that right people on right place at right time is Talent Acquisition. Administrative approach is followed in private sector. We need to follow strategic approach. She gave us deep insight of evolution of HR management theory, current trend in HR analytics- Millionials and post millionials focusing on message their company shared and focused on. She discussed the role of Artificial Intelligence in coming future to acquire the talent and manage the performance at various levels and areas. Ms. Bindiya further emphasized on how Talent Management is different from Recruitment? The session further covered ‘PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT’ and its linkage with current scenario which is complex and multidimensional. The question raised was Can it be truly objective? No, Can’t be because of biasness, Hallow effect, etc. 360degree feedback can never be done by in-house employee; it should be done by 3rd party. In the end there was a question answer round from both sides and the person who answered good was offered got chocolates by the speaker which was also a charm to connect with audience.
At the end Dr. Vivek Pachauri, Asst. Professor, Department of Management shared his gratitude with a token of love and thanks presented to her. Overall session was interactive and full of enthusiasm and practical knowledge .
‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme

Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad conducted ‘Parivartan’ – The Slum Education Programme on 22nd September, 2019, covering the topics of G.K. and environmental awareness, with some learning activity thrown in between.
The session opened with general awareness class, as Upasna and Ashish tried to enthuse the children with nuggets on the record holders in the country in terms of the tallest buildings, longest train route, highest lake, etc. Some of these were known to the kids, but many more turned out to be eye openers. A revision session was held in the end to confirm that the day’s information had been absorbed.
Next a fun learning activity was initiated by Megha as the learners were made to come forward and stand in a line. A sequence of steps were taught to the first person in the line. The idea was to train on retention of concepts and their effective communication to others. Those who performed well were rewarded with toffees.
The last part of the day’s programme consisted of a status check regarding the environmental awareness of the kids. They were invited to face the class and speak on why protecting the environment was of utmost importance. It was revealing to see several of children demonstrating their clear ideas on the topics with utmost conviction. The best speakers were given I.T.S Mohan Nagar caps as recognition for their efforts.
The day then drew to a close with the distribution of packets of ‘Bikano Bikaneri Bhujia’ and ‘Parle Mango Bite’ toffees. Dr. Indraneel Mandal accompanied and motivated the student volunteers.
