The speaker for the session was Mr. Tushar Kotnala, Investment Consultant Analyst  and alumnus of MBA 2014-16 Batch. The theme for the session was “Opportunities As Analyst”.

The aim of the session was to make all the students aware about the roles and responsibilities of an investment analyst. Mr. Tushar explained the pre- requisites for becoming an analyst. He also shared his journey from ICICI Direct to Mercer. He discussed the job description of his current profile.

He also explained how students can prepare for technical profiles in the finance industry. He discussed various job opportunities available in Stock Market, Mutual Fund AMC’s, Debt Market etc. At the end of the session he shared some  value-added courses like advanced excel, VBA, which can add an edge in participants'  profiles.

This Championship aimed for the selection of the players for the state team and the development of Table Tennis in the district of Ghaziabad.

The closing ceremony of this championship was held on 26th September, 2021 in august presence of the Chief Guest Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S -The Education Group & Vice President of Ghaziabad Association of Table Tennis, other dignitaries were, Dr. D. Shri Arpit Chadha congratulated and expressed his best wishes to all the winners and participants for their active participation and encouraged them to excel in future. Shri Rishi Raj Tyagi, Secretary (Ghaziabad Association of Table Tennis), congratulated all the winners and conveyed best wishes for future success.

Mr. Amit Kumar Srivastava started the session with basic and fundamental concepts of C. He also also covered various other aspect related to C such as data types, variable, constant, functions, array and pointers. He has focused on the various concept of C, which is asked by the company during the interview.  He addressed various issue related to data type, function,  array and pointer raised by the students during the session. 

Session was live hands-on demonstration of concepts related to C. The Session was very. It was overall nice experience for all participants.

The session was held on the morning of 22nd September, 2021, and was attended by around a hundred participants who had registered for the FDP.

Dr Mandal focused on the basics of the time series method which is commonly applied in finance and econometrics. He first discussed the basic elements of a time series and referred to techniques like the moving averages method, exponential smoothing and regression analysis. He then went on to relatively sophisticated areas like unit root testing and cointegration, which find substantial application in academic research.

Several of the participants, which included both academicians and research scholars, had questions which were dealt with by Dr Mandal. Finally the convener of the session thanked Dr. Mandal for being a part of the FDP programme.

Ms. Alpana Gautamis presently working as an Infrastructure Service Manager. She is a technocrat with 13 years of rich experience in the IT/Telecom sector, with a variety of roles in transition / operations/ support, process expert and project manager.

The session was focused on project lifecycle and the stages that are included in it i.e., initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control. She also discussed the project triple constraint i.e., time, scope, cost and how a manager uses these constraints for the betterment of the organization and the stakeholder. And in the end Ms. Alpana discussed some of the common techniques for project planning which are helpful in Breakdown structure, Gantt chart, Kanban, Analogous Estimation, Parametric Estimation, Bottom-up Estimation, Critical Path Method (CPM), Program Evaluation; Review Technique (PERT).

Q/A round was held at the end where the speaker cleared all the queries of the students regarding project management. It was an engrossing lecture. The event concluded with the presentation of virtual plaques as a token of gratitude and remembrance to the guest speaker Ms. Alpana Gautam.

Online Elementary FDP on “Quantification of Human Resource with HR Analytics’" from 19.07.2021 to 23.07.2021 at DATTA MEGHE INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES.

The online FDP witnessed participation from 80 selected Faculty members from across India. The resource person of the program was Ms. Megha Dixit, DGM – HR & Training, Cancer Hospital, Bombay & Dr. Rahul Pratap Singh Kaurav , Assistant Professor, Prestige institute of Management, Gwalior.  The details of the topics covered were Business Analytics-The HR Perspective, Business Understanding for HR Initiatives , HR Balance Score Card, Data Analytics with tool pak , HR Analytics- Tableau .

There were daily assignments given by the organizing Institutions. At the end of the training program one test was also conducted, in which it was mandatory to achieve minimum 60% marks.  This was a great learning experience for me while attending all the sessions and it would definitely help me in my teaching-learning process in the field of HR analytics.

It was highly interactive with practical applications of analytics and Tableau. The resource person being a HR Analytics trainer, brought his valuable knowledge and applications to the discussion and created deep learning during the entire  FDPprogram.

The workshop was aimed at giving hands on experience on website and blog development. Mr. Anshul explained the related concepts of webhosting and domain name. He further demonstrated how easily one can use the tool of Word press and build a website without coding. He also told students about the various plugins which can be used while using Word Press and how social media tabs can be inserted. The students also learnt how web pages can be developed ad edited.

Further in the session he also explained how Yoast SEO functions and how it can be used as a plugin in order to achieve SEO rankings. Towards the end of the session Google analytics was explained. All the real time data was used to explain the functionality of the tool, such as incoming traffic, page views, session duration etc.

 The talk was addressed by Ms. Annu Thapa, an alumnus of MBA(2012-14) batch. Ms. Annu is working as a Senior Manager with EXL. She has also contributed her services as a SeniorExecutive in Genpact India Private Limited. With a working experience of more than 6 years, she gave some practical lessons to the students.

She introduced the concept of SAP among the students, and indicated as to how important it is in their upcoming career. She also highlighted some practical tips which the student should take care during the placement interviews. He talk was mainly focussed on how the students can be more prepared to face the questions in their placement interviews.

The MBA students especially finance specialisation raised several queries regarding various certification and trainings related to their subject. The talk was attended by more than 130 MBA students.

At the end of the session, a virtual plaque was presented by Dr. Nitin Saxena as a token of gratitude. Overall, the session was very informative and practical.
