Prof. Nitin Saxena with Prof. Ankur Ahuja attended a National level Faculty Development Program on “Insights of Investment Avenues” organized by DAV Centenary in collaboration with The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Faridabad on 01st September, 2018.
Speakers for the day were CMA Sunil Sigh, Chairman of Northern India Regional Council of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Dr. K.P Kaushik, Professor, National Institute of Financial Management, Dr. Ajay Garg, Certified corporate Valuer and Mr. Ravish Bhateja, Motivational Speaker.
Mr. Sunil Singh elaborated the traditional investment options and their return history with reference to government policies in last 7 years.
Dr. K.P Kaushik explained the derivative market and about new instruments which can be traded in capital market.
Mr. Ajay Garg explained that how secondary income can be generated and how much it is important to link the family regular expenditure with savings. He also explained the risk associated with each investment option.
The purpose of the program was to enhance the understanding about the different investment avenues available in the financial system, so that one can contribute towards the economic development. The program also aimed to enhance the knowledge of capital market and hence to better prepare students as well equipped advisors and investor.
FDP was very insightful for the participants.
Reunion of MCA/MIS/MIT Alumni

With an objective of increasing interaction and strengthening the institute-alumni relationship, Reunion of MCA/MIS/MIT Alumni was organized at the institute on 1st September, 2018 at the institute. This event was organized for the first time exclusively for the alumni of MCA/MIS/MIT Programme at the institute by Department of IT.
Formally, the event started with the reception of alumni in the institute. About 150 Alumni their spouse and kids participated in the event with full enthusiasm. The event formally began with the Welcome of Alumni and their family by the Director (IT) - Prof. Sunil Kr Pandey who welcomed the alumni and presented a brief about the institutional growth, activities, achievements and departmental initiatives & accomplishments of department of IT. Dr. Umang, MCA Alumni Coordinator briefed about an event.
After formal inaugural Session, the event included, in which Alumni, their Kids, Spouse and Parents participated and enjoyed every moment of it:
1. Experience Sharing by Alumni
2. Games & Activities for Kids, Male Alumni, Female Alumni, Couples, Parents
3. Magic Show
4. Networking & Interaction
There were number of activities and games were planned and conducted for the alumni, their spouse and kids separately. These activities were objectively planned for the wife, kids and alumni for their separate participation and then there were some activities in which alumni along with their family were involved. Alumni and their family members participated in this event with full enthusiasm and enjoyed every moment of their stay at the institute during the Reunion.
Towards the end of the programme all the Alumni members were felicitated by the Director (IT) with specially prepared Memento and books edited by Honorable Chairman Sir - I.T.S The Education Group. The activities were conducted by the faculty team of Alumni Coordinator (PG(IT)) - Dr. Umang Singh, Prof. Smita Kansal and Dr. Vidushi Singh.
Alumni members were happy with the event and requested for such events on regular basis. They also promised to extend their support in the process and in the institutional activities. Total 150+ Alumni with their spouse and kids family members from senior batches (who passed out in the year 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005).
Overall the feedback from alumni was very good and they enjoyed their stay at the institute during Reunion-2018.
Management Students participate in a special show "Takkar" at India Today Group.

42 students from PGDM and MBA (Batch 2018-20) and MBA Batch (2017-19) along with Prof. Shikha Arora visited India Today Group on 01st September, 2018 to participate in a special show "Takkar" based on the topic, "Demonetization and Rafale Deal". This visit was organized by Department of management at I.T.S Ghaziabad. Guests for this session were Senior Congress Leader, Sh. Abhishek Manu Singhvi and National Spokesperson of BJP, Sh. Sudhanshu Trivedi.
First part of the session comprised of an interesting debate between the political leaders representing the opposition parties on the Impact of Demonetization on the growth of the economy. Several related issues like GDP growth rate, hike in petrol and diesel prices were discussed.
Second part focused on the controversial Rafale Deal. There were claims and counterclaims put forth by the opposition leaders over India’s deal to buy 36 Rafale fighter aircraft as the Congress-led opposition isrelentlessly raising questions over the financial terms of the agreement while the government is rubbishing the accusations.
Students participated very enthusiastically and asked several questions.
It was an insightful and thought-provoking session.
Department of Management organized Faculty Interaction under the RDC.

Faculty Interaction was organized by Research Development Cell to capture the need of analytics skill sets by the faculty. Twelve faculty members attended the session.
Prof. Hemant Purohit initiated the session by telling the importance of analytics skill set to be acquired by the ITS students preparing for forthcoming placement process in I.T.S.
Prof. Lokesh enquired about the tools relevant to the students and he was told that besides tools, the process of analytics to be understood holistically.
Dr. Charu and other HR faculty members were curious whether the current state of our students is sufficient or some add on market relevant skills are needed, if yes, then how to acquire these skill set(s). Prof. Hemant explained in detail and was of the view to get the new role profile the skill sets pertaining to analytics have to be acquired by doing hands on by the workshop mode.
Faculty of finance enquired about data audit and also informed that lot of finance functions are being taught in MS-Excel, students are trained to do financial analysis on MS-EXCEL. Prof. Hemant clarified and also told that using MS-Excel for analysis is also Analytics which is used in DDD (Data Driven Decision) process in modern organization.
Prof. Hemant shared one example related to Bajaj Finserve, Pune, where the input from Head-Analytics, that they look for students to use simple Excel application to predict employee churn time, rather to go for expensive and sophisticated software packages.
Finally, Prof. Hemant wrapped the session by emphasizing that skill sets of analytics with industry relevant and in holistic manner from domain to business process, tools, techniques used to help business in order to create value for the customer and organization itself.
Guest Talk delivered by Dr. Umang at BPS

Dr. Umang delivered a Guest Talkon “Journey towards wired networks to Adhoc Networks” on 28th August, 2018 for B.Tech CSE/IT 1st& 4th year was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology , BPS MahilaVishvidyalaya, Sonipat.
The session had witnessed the participation of 60 students from B.Tech Course. In this session, I have discussed on various communication technologies and its impact on different real life applications. While discussing about proliferation of technologies, I have presented a detailed discussion on Adhoc networks, Vehicular Adhoc Networks & FANETs and its empirical research issues. In addition to this, Introduction of Network Simulator, its Importance, types of Network Simulators, Requirements and their simulation were also explained through demonstration using NetSim.
Overall it was a great learning experience to interact, share views & thoughts.

Department of Management organized a session by Mr. Tarun Gulyani, Motivational speaker and NLP practitioner, hismission is to help others to stay positive always and find inner happiness. He motivated the students to keep learning because it makes a man alive. He believes that each and every human is unique and special and that we are all born to be successful. The only thing that stops us is our own beliefs about what’s possible and what’s not. He emphasized that one should not allow the PAST or the FUTURE to rob you of your PRESENT. He said Life is like a bank account, you withdraw from what you’ve put in, deposit lots of happiness in this account of memories. He believes that mind is terrible master but a very good servant. Lastly he said “be grateful to what you have” and proceed with the given foundation with full enthusiasm and dedication in order to be successful in your endeavor without differentiating and comparing with others status.

Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, organized a session by Dr. B K Chandra Shekhar from SIGFA Solutions, who is an expert in the area of Psycho Neurobics. He started his session by asking the students three questions like; what is power, what is mind and what is mind power. He explained that whole concept revolves around three areas these are Registration, Retention and Recollection. He demonstrated the power of mind to the students with the help of volunteers wherein he asked them to think about good as well as bad memories and then demonstrated its affect on body strength. He demonstrated that how positive and negative thoughts affect our body energy and ultimately leading to good or bad health.

26th of August, 2018 activity of ‘Parivartan’- the Slum Education Programme, a CSR initiative of ITS, Ghaziabad, was yet another special day in a month that has been full of them. It was the day to celebrate Rakshabandhan – the solemn occasion that pays homage to the sacred relationship between brothers and sisters.
The volunteers for the day were Aprajita Srivastava, Samina Khatoon, Abhijit Giri, Ayush Goel, Jyoti Pal and Atul Aniket.
After the class on mountains in the previous week, it was time to discuss about continents. Samina and Aprajita explained to the children how continents were different from countries. They were also told about the seven major continents. Initially the children had some difficulty in grasping the concept of continents; but when examples of the unique features of the animals and the people living in each continent were held up, it became clearer.
The second session of the day consisted of a quiz where the children faced questions on whatever had been taught during the last one month. In order to encourage the children, each correct answer was rewarded with a special prize.
The day finally ended with the distribution of “Winky’s Swiss Rolls” and “Mango Bite Toffees” among all the children.
Dr. Indraneel Mandal accompanied and motivated the student volunteers, and guided them in the conduct of the sessions.
I.T.S Ghaziabad organized “Campus to Corporate: Alumni Experience Sharing” during AARAMBH- 2018

The new batch joined ITS MBA programme with a lot of expectations and dreams in their eyes to be fulfilled in the days to come. They have aspirations to become a true professional by inculcating all those traits and skills which are expected by corporate houses from Management Graduates.
With the objective to sensitize the beginners on the issue and to motivate them to be able to use not only the curricular but also co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities during their two years stay with I.T.S to hone their skills, an exclusive session on Alumni Experience Sharing was organized.
Alumni members, Om Prakash Rai, Shailendra Kumar, Gaurav Srivastava, Abhishek Kumar, Rahul Bhardwaj, Adarsh Vishnoi, Shubham Vashistha, representing some of the very prominent company like Abott, Saint Gobain, Mother Diary, Asian Paints, Nature Fresh, Oppo, JP Morgan MBA Programme, batches ranging from 2005 to 2015 shared their experiences of corporate life and given valuable tips to students to make themselves corporate ready. Passion, positive attitude, communication, confidence, networking, team spirit are few traits, one should have to be a true professional. One should learn from failures and should come up with more courage to achieve the goals.
The programme started with by welcome address by Director Management -Dr. Ajay Kumar. Prof. Durba Roy, Head CRC also shared her experience with these alumni’s and their batch mates.
The alumni members introduced themselves and shared their experiences, thoughts and shared their wisdom to help students to be able to groom themselves as per the corporate expectations.
To listen to alumni was a great experience for the students as it gave them a glimpse into how their lives could be after two years from now. It is a matter of pride for I.T.S to have graduated such prodigious students who are scaling new heights of success in their respective fields.

Department of Management organized a guest talk for the students of MBA First Year (2018-20 Batch).The speaker for the session of the day was Dr.Ganesh Singh
Professor andProgramme Director – Foundation Course - AIMA. Dr. Singh addressed the students on a very relevant subject “Expectations of Corporate world from a Management Graduate”. During the discourse some very important principles were shared with the students like Time Management, Aim High, Try to be a problem solver and Quality Consideration. These principles with detailed explanation by Dr. Singh, acquainted students and also prepared them for the upcoming challenges of the corporate world. The session also provided students with an importance of filling the gap between what they are today and what they ought to be.
The session provided a great learning experience to students as they got an opportunity to analyse and explore their own basic assumptions and personality blocks, responsible for their positive and negative orientation in life. Moreover, the rich and varied experience of Dr. Singh provided students an enriched learning experience.
Guest Talk by Dr. Amita Srivastava, Director- BCRTC

Department of Management organized a guest talk for the students of MBA First Year (2018-20Batch). The speaker of the session was Dr. Amita Srivastava Director-BCRTC.
Dr. Srivastava focussed on some of the key areas of development for students. The significant points being: to be innovative, having good communication skills, hardworking, consistency in one’s efforts and effective leadership. Each and every trait was extensively explained by sharing the examples of world leaders and the kind of challenges they have faced in their strive to be successful and to be what they are today. The session motivated the students as they could relate very practically through the life stories of the world leaders. The students were very energised as they could feel the zeal within them after the invigorating address of Dr. Srivastava.
Thereafter, she addressed lot of queries from the students and overall it was a very interactive session and a rich practical learning experience for students.
Workshop on “Oracle E-Business Suite Applications”

One day Workshop on “Oracle E-Business Suite Applications” has organized by CRC –IT in association with Oratree Solutions Private Limited, Noida for our MCA final year students for their better placement on date 18th-Aug-2018 during 10:00AM to 1:00 PM. Mr. Sumit Chauhan, Managing Director, Ms. Kriti Arora, Hr- Head and Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Sr. Manager from the Oratree Solutions Private Limited, Noida were the key resource person.
This workshop focused on practical and application aspects of recent version of Oracle E-Business Suite and covered the topics like Introduction and importance of ERP in Industry, Introduction to Oracle E-Business Suite Applications, Its different module, security and privacy aspects of this application, Demonstration of this application with some real life examples .
Total 30 students of MCA final year were participated in this workshop. It was very interactive and informative workshop, and I am sure that this workshop will help our students to make their career path in field of ERP.

Department of Management at Institute of Technology and Science, Mohan Nagar,Ghaziabad commenced its Orientation Program “AARAMBH -2018” from 21st Aug 2018 to 27th Aug 2018 for its15thbatch of MBA (2018-20) students.
The inaugural ceremony held on Tuesday, 21st Aug 2018. The programme was inaugurated with lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest,Prof. (Dr.) Vinayshil Gautam, Senior Advisor TRIFED, Founder Director IIM-K, Dr. Amitabh Rajan IAS, Ex- Homes Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary of Maharashtra, Shri Arpit Chadha- Vice- Chairman- I.T.S-The Education Group, Mr. Surinder Sood , Director –PR, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director –Management and Dr. Anusha Aggarwal, Chairperson - MBA.
Programme started with the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar, Director – Management. In his welcome address, Prof.Ajay Kumar, welcomed Chief Guest, Guest of Honor and the students of newly admitted batch. He also shared his thoughts about academic discipline and time management which is in indispensible for professional growth. He also congratulated newly admitted students on their success in getting admission to MBA Course at I.T.S Ghaziabad.
The chief guest of the day Dr. Vinayshil Gautam shared his vast experience with the newly admitted MBA students he spoke at length on various aspects of acquiring management education. Dr. Gautam emphasized that the value and attitude of students has changed overtime. He suggested students to focus on learning instead of placement and getting job. He said your attitude defines what you get in your life so change your attitude learn and only then think of earning. Dr. Gautam said that competition is no longer local in nature its global.
Guest of Honour, Dr. Amitabh Rajan, shared his diverse experience with students. He said that it was not the results but attitude that leads to sustainable success. He also stressed the importance of dedication to one’s profession and the need to have passion for success in all endeavors of life. He also added to develop a zeal for learning.He said that the students of today are having best of the opportunities. He advised students to strive for their vision without compromising ethics.Mr Surinder Sood , Director –PR,I.T.S- The Education Grouptalked about that the experimentation with the innovative ideas are foundation to be a successful manager and a leader. He also shared thought provoking experiences which was about to make the world a better place to live by not just digging from it but also giving something in return.Dr. Anusha Agarwal gave the overview about the orientation program and also made students familiar with classes, examination and other aspects of the MBA program.
At the end Dr. Yachana Malhotra, proposed vote of thanks and expressed her gratitude to the parents and students for having faith and confidence in the institution.
