Nagesh began the day’s session by highlighting the significance of Children’s Day. He discussed the various facets of the life of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, who also held the post for the longest period. He referred to Pt. Nehru’s education and family background, his writings and of course, his love for children. As expected, the children were aware of some these facts.

Continuing with the theme for the day, Hitesh then delved into child rights and why they are important. In this context he explained the role of the UNICEF and its activities for children around the world.

A quiz was then held to test all that the children learnt during the day. Those who answered correctly were given a pack of Frooti.

Finally the day drew to a close with the distribution of "Bikano Aloo Bhujia" and "Orange Bite" toffees among the children. Dr. Indraneel Mandal accompanied and motivated the student volunteers. Prof. Lokesh Upreti guided the volunteers in the conduct of the programme as the faculty coordinator of CSR Club - Parivartan.
