Dr Umang, Faculty IT attended 3rd Governance Now Digital Transformation Summit on “Driving a Trillion-dollar Digital Economy”

Dr. Umang, Faculty,  IT attended 3rd Governance Now Digital Transformation Summit on Wednesday, 6th November, 2019 at The Lalit|New Delhi.

The country is poised to the next phase of growth. The strong digital infrastructure and digital India hold potential for the socio-economic growth of the country. According to the reports, the potential economic value of $1 Trillion in 2025 comes from the new digital ecosystem in diverse sectors including e-governance, healthcare, jobs and skills, agriculture and various other areas.

The objective of third edition of Governance Now Digital Transformation Summit was to focus on roadmaps, partnerships and collaborations among the center and state governments, private sector, industry associations, consulting firms, and academia which are critical to achieving these digital goals. In this Summit, special focus was also on reskilling and upskilling the government practitioners for the digital transformation process.

One day event was comprised of Inaugural sessions, plenary Panel Discussions and Industry presentations.

Inaugural Session was planned on theme “Tapping the Trillion Dollar Digital Opportunity”. In this session, Shri Kunal Kumar, Joint Secretary and Mission Director (Smart Cities), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India ,Shri Puneet Chawla, Chairman & Managing Director, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd ,Shri Sarvesh Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Broadband Network Limited, Dr Neeta Verma, Director General, Shri Gopalakrishnan S, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, Shri Subhash Chandra Garg, Former Economic Affairs and Power Secretary, Government of India , Shri Rajeev Mehta, Vice President, Vodafone Idea Ltd were present . In this session, experts has discussed on Digital Transformation Roadmaps,  E-governance of the Future, Unlocking the transformative power of digital technologies, Interdependence complexities between departments and governments, Tapping the potential of billions of screens of opportunity and digitally workforce transformation for digital India.

After Inaugural session, Shri Dhruv Singla, Major Accounts Manager, Fortinet and Dr Mohan Chandrasekaran, Founder & CEO, AdStringO Software Pvt Ltd presented Industry presentation on “Security Transformation in Today’s Digital World”.

Three Plenary Panel Discussion were also planned on following themes:

Singh, Chief Controller of Account, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, Shri G T Venkateswar Rao, Commissioner, Electronic Service Delivery, IT, E & C Department, Government of Telangana, Dr Sundar Balakrishna, Director, Electronic Service Delivery (Mee Seva), Department of IT, Electronics & Communication, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Sarvesh Singhal, Special Secretary (IT), Department of Information Technology, Government of Jharkhand, Shri Ramkumar S, Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills District, Government of Meghalaya. Panelist of this session focused on  Changing Digital Services Landscape, Process Automation and e-Services and  Ensuring Sovereignty, Safety and Security of Digital Communications.

Event was concluded with the Digital Transformation Awards Ceremony 2019. In this ceremony, Shri Kailashnath Adhikari, Managing Director, Governance Now, Sri Adhikari Brothers Group, Shri S N Tripathi, Director, Indian Institute of Public Administration, Shri Vinit Goenka, Member, Governing Council of CRIS; Member - IT Task Force, Ministry of Road, Transport & Highways and Shipping, Government of India Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Member, Rajya Sabha facilitated  the Award Winners.

It was overall nice learning experience.

29th National Annual Convention on “Leadership & Talent Management In The Era Of Automation & Digitalization”

Faculty and Students of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, attended 29th National Annual Convention on “Leadership & Talent Management In The Era Of Automation & Digitalization” on 19th January 2019. The dignitaries on the dais with Chief Guest, Mr. Ramesh A. Vaaswani (Director, INTEX Technologies (India) Ltd, Dr. M.P. Poonia, Vice Chairman, AICTE, New Delhi, Dr. Prabhat Kumar (Guest of Honour), IRS (Retd.), Former Commissioner of Customs & Excise, Mr. Amit Agarwal, President, GMA & Deputy Managing Director, Ghaziabad Precision Product Ltd, Mr Dharmendra Singh, Hony. Secretary GMA & GM Plant Operations, Shriram Pistons & Ring Ltd.

I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad was one of the major contributors to the GMA 29th Annual Convention as GOLD SPONSOR. I.T.S students served as volunteers at the convention and were highly active throughout the convention. The sponsor’s contribution was acknowledged with the sharing of Mementos. Dr. Ajay Kumar (Director- Management) and Dr. VN Bajpai received the memento from the Chief Guest. The Technical Session- I was on the topic: Preparing & Retaining Talent / Skill. The Technical Session-II had the very first speaker as Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director Management. He spoke about the challenges for industry/ service sector because of automation & digitalization.  The Valedictory session was with the topic: Public Policy for inclusive development in era of automation & digitalization. Ms. Bhavna Saxena, IPS. SPL Commissioner, APEDB, spoke about the public policy on automation & digitalisation. During the end of the convention, a “Lucky Coupon Draw”, was undertaken and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director Management was lucky enough to receive a laptop out of the total participants available.

Dr. Vivek Pachuri, Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, CO - Chaired ,Technical session in HR in a National conference organized at BVM Institute Gwalior on 12th Jan 2019 M. P. Affiliated Jiwaji university Gwalior M. P.  The topic of conference was "Human capital challenges in current scenario." Research Papers were presented by the delegates in conference.  It was indeed a Co-Learning to see the paper presentation and sharing insight and inspiration with each other. Management of I.T.S Ghaziabad and Director Management-Dr. Ajay Kumar supported and motivated Dr. Pachuri of this opportunity of learning.

FDP on "Digitalization Initiative in the field of Education"

Department of Management at I.T.S - Mohan Nagar organized a Faculty Development Program by Ms. Sandhya Bondriya, IES & Alumni of Standford Graduate Business School and former Director, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India on 10th January 2019 on "Digitalization Initiative in the field of Education". 

The basic purpose of FDP was to demonstrate application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools based on data analytics for increasing faculty efficiency, students' engagement and expediting accreditation work with a common goal to improve learning and teaching experiences more effective, time saving, efficient and universal manner for higher education institution. 

All faculty members of Management Department actively participated with zeal and enthusiasm in order to explore and enrich their data driven decisions for students, courses and institution.

India Dialogues Conclave- 2019

Students of PGDM along with two faculty members, Dr. Lalit Kumar Sharma & Dr. Surendra Tiwari, I.T.S - Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad participated in “India Dialogues Conclave, 2019” on 06th January, 2019 at Hotel Shangri-la, New Delhi. 

The conclave shared the Indian Government vision for progress and prosperity. Main guests and members of parliament in conclave who shared the Government’s vision were Mr.Anurag Thakur, Dr. Satyapal Singh, Mr. Varun Gandhi, Mr. Vijay Goel, Mr. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Mr.Babul Supriyo, Mr. K.C Tyagi, Mr. Baijayant Jai Panda.

The conclave's important areas of the discussion included Surgical Strike, Rural India manifesto, India ahead and social media. 
List of guests also included many important people from indian politics, policy makers, journalists and academicians.

Training Program conducted for Teachers at Chadha Public School, Murad Nagar (UP).

A training program on "Time Management and Problem Solving" was conducted at Chadha Public School, Murad Nagar. Program started with lamp lighting in front of Goddess of Learning, Maa Saraswati.

Participants were highly delighted to have such an opportunity to learn and add new set of skills and competencies so as to develop and enrich their capabilities as a successful teacher and to contribute the best possible to their students and hence the learning environment was highly interactive and resulted in deep routed team cohesiveness among the participants.

Prima facie, Dr. M. K. Jha gave opening remarks on Time Management and Problem Solving and addressed the participants to accept and appreciate the concept, significance and application of Time management and sensitized them to participate actively during the session with greater enthusiasm and expectations.

Initially to get connected with the participants, ice breaking session was conducted to get affiliated with each other by introducing each other with sharing their feelings and disclosure of strengths and weaknesses so as to predict personality traits of the participants.

Prof. Shilpi Rana presented slide show in order to illustrate a systematic and organized over view of Time Management and Problem solving in day to day personal and professional life and how to balance work life of working females.

Time Management activity (Group Juggling Game) was conducted by Prof. Yachna Malhotra and Prof. Shilpi Rana among the participants to make them understand how to perform duties and responsibilities during the shortest time period judiciously without exerting stress with complete involvement and participants were over whelmed with the outputs and experiences they had during the game. Again this was followed by Simon Says activity, problem solving activities and ultimately by Query Handling , where participants shared their problems and got insight to resolve such problems.

Dr. M. K. Jha offered thanks to all participants for their patient listening and active participation during the session. The essential arrangements and hospitality hosted by school principal was praise worthy.

Workshop attended by Dr. Vidushi SIngh and MCA students

Dr. Vidushi Singh of Department of I.T. along with students of MCA had attended “Everlasting Youth- Reclaim it” at Panchsheel Park, New Delhi on 14th July, 2018.

Today, more than ever, young women and men are change-makers, building new realities for themselves and their communities. All over the world, youth are driving social change and innovation, claiming respect for their fundamental human rights and freedoms, and seeking new opportunities to learn and work together for a better future.

This Youth workshop is with the objective to provide the framework for constructive platform and partnerships to be developed with youth. It is built on the premise that youth are the new wave to carry forward, world brotherhood communities. Dr. Sujata Kapila Menon along with Ms. Rashmi, IAS Officer were the speakers.

Management Faculty attended FDP on Universal Human Values and Professional Ethics.

Dr. M.K Jha and Prof. Bhavna Bhardwaj from Management Department, ITS Mohan Nagar, attended eight days Faculty Development Program on Basic Level - Universal Human Values and Professional Ethics, organized by Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TQEP), Government of India Phase III and AKTU, Lucknow, from 23/6/18 to 30/6/18, at ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad.

The workshop was divided into four different levels:

  • Self harmony
  • Harmony in the family
  • Harmony in the Society
  • Harmony in nature and cosmos

The first level concentrated on understanding co-existence of self and body, importance of right understanding, analyzing the importance of relationship and identifying the required physical facilities for self comfort and existence. This session also emphasized on role of our pre-conditionings in our day to day decisions and behaviour.

The second level talked about prosperity in the family. The difference between intention and competencies of an individual was brought about in this session. Thus, the importance of right evaluation of a person’s competencies was discussed very elaborately. The nine core family values were also shared in this session.

The third level talked about extension of family’s harmony with the society. In the fourth level the importance of correlation amongst the four orders of the entire cosmos i.e physical order, pranic order, animal order, human order so as to understand the relationship of mutual fulfillment within each order. During workshop, sessions were organized on video shows, group discussions and experience sharing, thereby, giving a holistic understanding on the subject.

The session concluded with an understanding that mutual fulfillment is inherent in nature to live in harmony and prosperity. The resource persons for the session from university were Shri Gopalji , Shri Manoj Gupta, Mr. Tarique and Mr. Talaan. Around 80 faculty members from different management and engineering colleges of AKTU participated in the workshop.

The purpose of the workshop was to propagate human values to the student fraternity through faculty and thus creating sensitization amongst students for a better, value driven behavior and self development.
