Management Faculty presented case titled “Yes Madam: What’s new in the Box” at IIM Nagpur
Prof. Charul Agrawal and Prof. Parul Gupta of Management Department from I.T.S Ghaziaabd successfully presented their case study titled “Yes Madam: What’s new in the Box” in the ISDSI-Global Conference 2021 from December 27-30, 2021 at IIM Nagpur.
This four-day conference witnessed participation from many countries and many prestigious Institutes of India. The case study was selected in the category of Teaching cases and was related to the subject of Strategic Management.
The jury panel consisted of eminent educationists like Dr. Anuja Pandey Head, AIMA -India Case Research Center, Professor of Marketing AIMA and Dr, Prof Siva Kumar Professor Marketing VITBS, Allur.
The case authors received valuable inputs for improvements and were appreciated for the concept built around the case.

Management faculty invited as a Guest
Management faculty, Prof. Shilpi Rana was invited as a Guest in the Valedictory Session of a 2-day "National Conference" on Atma Nirbhar Bharat - Opportunities & Challenges, organised by IIMT College of Management, Greater Noida on 23rd December, 2021.
The session witnessed 200 above participants from Management background including Faculty members, Research Scholars and students. The session was full of enthusiasm & Zeal among participants to present their research papers during the Conference.
It was a pleasure being invited as Guest to present the awards to the winners. Overall It was a wonderful learning experience. The Faculty is Grateful to the Management of I.T.S Ghaziabad for giving such opportunities and to be a part of such events for self exploration and learning.

MBA students attended FICCI webinar
Students of MBA (2021-23) Batch have attended a webinar organized by FICCI on the topic Bhashantara, Indic Internet: The Foundation of Next Phase of Digital Transformation on 13th December, 2021 from 9:30am to 5:30 pm.

Addressing 'Bhashantara - Indic Internet: The Foundation of Next Phase of Digital Transformation, organized by FICCI, jointly with Mr. Chandrasekhar said that our vision is not just connecting every Indian but making sure that the type and the nature of the internet that we experience are defined by open internet along with being safe and trusted. "It is in the area of making the internet available in the language of the Indian consumer’s choice that we are trailing behind. We need to have a real roadmap and we don't want to mandate this. We would like the industry to step up and do on their own," he emphasized.
India, he said is now determined to be the preeminent country in the world to use technology for its advancement, growth, empowering every Indian, improving governance on one hand while creating jobs and investment opportunities on the other hand. We also have to create deep capabilities around emerging areas of future technologies. "We want to use technology in a very deep, positive and accelerated manner to achieve these objectives. Technology and the internet cannot be anything but inclusive," added Mr. Chandrasekhar.
Mr. Ajay Prakash Sawhney, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India said that language options on the internet is a major step that will enable more people to use the platform in a much effective way. "In the National Language Translation mission, we are in the process of drafting a similar National Public Digital platform. This will bring all data and resources that are available which can fuel the growth in technologies in and around Indian languages. In the next 2-3 months we will see this becoming live and will boost to the mission of enabling Indians with the power of language technologies," he added.
Mr.Virat Bhatia, Chairman, FICCI ICT & Mobile Manufacturing Committee said that the Indian language internet users are expected to grow and will account for nearly 75 percent of India's internet user base and he also told us at that time, how our society uses Indic-Internet , what is the platform we connect to the digital world. He also tells us about the lack of Indic-Internet, how we improve and learn this Indic-Internet.
Dr. Ajay Data, Co-Chair, ICT & Mobile Manufacturing Committee, FICCI and CEO and Founder, Data Xgen Technologies said that while it is true that considerable progress has been made in developing digital content in local languages, the real challenge lies in providing a single platform to the vast arrays of stakeholders to come and work together and this is where FICCI-ILIA plays an important role.

Management Faculty participated and presented research paper in Management Doctoral Colloquium (Shodh Samagam ) at IIM- Vishakhapatnam
Prof. Parul Gupta, Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, participated and presented a
Paper titled ‘Understanding the accumulation and returns of employee emotional capital with respect to organizations operating in India’ in Management Doctoral Colloquium (Shodh Samagam) organised by IIM – Vishakhapatnam dated December 9-10, 2021. It was a two days virtual event where out of 250 entries, 50doctoral scholars from premier institutes across India were selected to present their research works.
The objective of the colloquium was to create a platform for research scholars can seek knowledge, learn new research techniques, and receive feedback from eminent academicians. The colloquium offered constructive feedback and insightful comments to the research scholars for enhancing their research and making valuable contribution to their respective domains.

Management faculty attended a one- week FDP, an Initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India Electronics & ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati
Prof. Shilpi Vaish, Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad attended a one-week online Faculty Development Program on "Classroom Management Skills & Online Delivery Techniques" from 4 -9 October, 2021 .
This FDP was an Initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India Electronics & ICT Academy IIT Guwahati, Assam, organized in Association with Government Model College, Kaziranga and was a 40 Hours of course for the per day timing of 10 am to 5 pm.
The online FDP witnessed participation from 50 selected Faculty members and PHD Research Scholars from across India. It aimed to impart training to a level where faculties will be benefited in terms of the teaching style, personality improvement, classroom delivery and help the faculties to create a strong mentor mentee relation required for overall development.

Continuous Monitoring and Assessment was conducted by E&ICT Academy IIT Guwahati. The weightage of the Assessment (100 Marks) as follows:
o Theory Assessment (MCQ/Descriptive) : 30 Marks
o Practical Assessment/Assignment/Activities : 40 Marks
o Classroom Attendance/Monitoring and Assignments : 30 Marks
On the basis of percentage, the certificate was awarded. All the resource persons were masters of their own field and seasoned trainers. This extremely informative FDP will help me in training participants with a variety of modules and different styles of conduct which can enhance their overall personality.

Online Faculty Development Programme on Data Analytics for Research and Publication
AICTE ATAL organized a 5-day FDP on “Data Analytics for research and Publication” from Oct 4th 2021 to Oct 8th 2021, which was hosted by IIM Vishakhapatnam.
Prof. Charul Agrawal and Prof Parul Gupta from Management Department, I.T.S Ghaziabad attended this 5-day FDP which was focussed on equipping the programme participants with the requisite knowledge for identifying the right research problem, selection of adequate data analysis techniques, application of those research techniques, and interpretation of results. The FDP witnessed overwhelming participation from more than 150 participants from all the corners of the country. All the sessions in FDP were well planned and structured so as to give a comprehensive view of the topic.
The sessions were taken by the Faculties of IIM Vishakhapatnam who were well equipped and presented the topics in an easy manner. The Resource persons shared many practical examples and gave hands on training on some statistical data packages.
The 5-day FDP was followed by a rigorous examination, on completion of which the participants were issued Certificates.

Management faculty attended a one- week FDP on “Data Analytics: Tools & Techniques”.
Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, the Faculty of Management Department, I.T.S Ghaziabad, attended a five days Virtual FDP on ‘Data Analytics: Tools & Techniques’ from September 20-24, 2021 organized by the School of Management Studies (SMS), University of Hyderabad (UoH).
The online FDP witnessed participation from 80 selected Faculty members from across India. The resource persons of the program were mainly from the University of Hyderabad. The details of the topics covered are mentioned below-
· Introduction to Data analytics
· Analytics and Algorithms
· Data visualization: Graphs & Charts
· Measurement and Scaling
· Concepts of Probability
· Choice of the right statistical technique for data analysis
This FDP followed a peer-learning approach. It was a highly interactive and intensive program that included daily quizzes and an exam for final assessment based on which the certificate was awarded. This was a great learning experience for Dr. Gurpreet Kaur which would help her in the teaching-learning process in the field of data analytics.

Invited as a Resource Person in FDP on Emerging Financial Management and Accounting Techniques organized by University of Burdwan
Dr. Indraneel Mandal of the Department of Management, Institute of Technology and Science, Ghaziabad had been invited as a resource person for a session on “Time Series Analysis” as part of an FDP on Emerging Financial Management and Accounting Techniques organised by the Department of Business Administration, University of Burdwan under the aegis of the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy.
The session was held on the morning of 22nd September, 2021, and was attended by around a hundred participants who had registered for the FDP.
Dr Mandal focused on the basics of the time series method which is commonly applied in finance and econometrics. He first discussed the basic elements of a time series and referred to techniques like the moving averages method, exponential smoothing and regression analysis. He then went on to relatively sophisticated areas like unit root testing and cointegration, which find substantial application in academic research.
Several of the participants, which included both academicians and research scholars, had questions which were dealt with by Dr Mandal. Finally the convener of the session thanked Dr. Mandal for being a part of the FDP programme.
