A workshop on “IoT and Sensor Programming” was organized by the Programming Club of the Department of IT at the Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad on 18th April 2026. The session aimed to provide participants with both theoretical understanding and practical exposure to Internet of Things (IoT) concepts and sensor-based applications.

The workshop was conducted by Prof. Abhay Kumar Ray along with MCA alumni Abhishek Kapur and Love Kumar. They introduced students to IoT architecture, components such as sensors, actuators, and controllers, and explained real-world applications including smart homes, healthcare systems, industrial automation, and smart cities.
A key highlight of the workshop was the hands-on simulation using Tinkercad, where participants learned sensor programming (distance and temperature sensing). The speakers also discussed industry applications, career opportunities, and the growing demand for IoT professionals.Overall, the workshop was informative and interactive, benefiting 26 participants.
