All ITS PGDM 2015-17 batch students went to UAE for a weeklong tour to UAE and visited 3 countries – Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah for both industrial and educational exposure. They were accompanied by 4 male and female faculty members of ITS. This industrial cum educational trip included visit of the students to 2 major industrial units in UAE- 1) CONMIX Ltd., Jebel Ali (a German company in UAE) and 2) Mark Ships Maintenance LLC, Sharjah. Students visited their works in these 2 countries which are not very far from Dubai. Students also undertook a tour of their factories as well as interacted with the plant heads and supervisors. They discussed about their business model and key success factors which have helped these companies beat the competition. Students also discussed about the career possibilities in UAE and the procedure to join companies in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

During other days students enjoyed the evening private dinner at the famous Dubai Dhow Cruise followed by a cultural show specially arranged for ITS students. ITS students also undertook some adventure activities which included – Desert Safari, Desert Biking, and Camel Safari etc. ITS students were mesmerized to experience the desert cultural show at the desert camp near Dubai. 

In order to know more about UAE, students underwent a guided tour of Dubai city, Abu Dhabi and nearby areas including Atlantis hotel, Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Zumeira Beach, Al Mamzar Beach, King’s Palace, Safari World in Abu Dhabi and several other important landmarks of UAE. ITS students had memorable time doing shopping at Deira Shopping Centre, Meena Bazaar, Lulu Hypermarket, Dates wholesale market in Abu Dhabi and many other shopping places in UAE.

Overall students came back with once in lifetime memories and loads of pictures to share with friends and families. ITS students are now more confident of their corporate career and planning similar self overseas visits in future.

Prof. Kapil Mohan Garg, Prof. Abhinav P.Tripathi, Dr. Vijesh Jain and Ms. Anju Dhiman escorted and guided the large student group of 81 students during this week long tour. It was a great feeling of joy to see these students transformed visibly during this overseas tour.
