Digital and Social Media Marketing workshop aimed at developing an overall understanding of digital marketing / online marketing platforms, mainly web analytics, social media tools, marketing through search engines, extracting meaningful insights from and visualizing data to facilitate the decision-making process, whereas data science is focused on making sense of raw data using algorithms, statistical models, and understanding analytics in different areas.

The resource persons for the workshop were Mr. Pravesh Kumar and Mr. Rahul Kumar, Digital marketing experts who trained students on Revenue Models, Indian Retails & E- commerce, Transaction Methods, Growth and Future Prospects, E commerce Promotions- SEO, E commerce Website Analysis, KeyWord Research, On and Off Page Optimization, Assessment & Monitoring, E commerce Promotions - PPC, Organic and Paid Searches, Search & Display Network, Quality Score, Google Ad-word Panel and many more topics.

A blend of experiential and participatory learning methods were employed during implementation of the workshop. Key among the methods used were demonstration, practice in computer labs. With knowledge on contents and experience, the key facilitator demonstrated hands-on skills, went through the training objectives with participants.

At the close of the workshop, participants used an offline evaluation form to provide feedback about the workshop. 

Overall, participants were actively engaged, mostly individually, through training methodologies, and given sufficient time to try out and do practice. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Shilpi Rana.
