5S is the name of a workplace organization method that uses a list of five Japanese words: seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, and shitsuke. Transliterated into Roman script, they all start with the letter "S". There are five 5S phases: They can be translated from the Japanese as "sort", "set in order", "shine", "standardize" and "sustain".
Keeping that in view, 5S team has organized a “Poster Making Competition” and “Best Class Room Award” for UG/PG students, on 25th and 26th October, 2016 respectively.

Poster Making Competition was organized on the theme “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. The objective behind Poster Making Competition was to bring out the creativity and imagination of the students through making the Posters to give a platform to the students for showing their talent and also to make an awareness in the peer group for cleanliness. The participation in the contest added enthusiasm among the students. Total 20 teams from BBA, BCA, MCA, MBA and PGDM participated in the competition. Akshita Garg & Priyanka Sharma from BCA 3rd year (Sec B) won the first prize, Mahima Garg & Iqura Khatuon from BBA 2nd year (Sec B) won the second prize and Abhishek & Hemant from MCA 2nd year (Sec A) won the third prize. Prof. A.N. Tripathi, Prof. Pawan Kumar Singh and Dr. Puneet Kumar were the judges for the event. Winners will be awarded by Certificates.
In continuation of this, Best Class Room Award was also organized. The objective behind Best Class Room Award was to bring out the implementation of 5S in students i.e. "sort", "set in order", "shine", "standardize", and "sustain". Participants participated with a great zeal in the contest. All classrooms in PG-IT, PG-Management and UG Campus were cleaned and decorated. One Class Room in each department was selected as Best Class Room. Prof. Puja Dhar and Prof. Rakesh Roshan judged “Best Class Room” in PG-IT(MCA Class Rooms), Prof. Ankur Ahuja and Dr. Puneet Kumar judged “Best Class Room” in PG-Management(PGDM and MBA Class Rooms) and Prof. Kanika Tandon & Prof. Richa Singh judged “Best Class Room” in UG Campus (BBA and BCA Class Rooms). Two students from each class represented their classes by answering the queries of the judges.
