Volunteers of the day – Avinash Kumar, Rahul Kamboj, Kavita Pandey, Kapil Verma, Sher Singh Chouhan, Akansha Saxena and Satender Rana started the class with the regular check of the hygiene and personal grooming of the slum children.
The class started with a special session greeting etiquettes. They were told how to greet others and how to bid a goodbye. They were also briefed about giving responses to Sorry, thank you and Welcome. They learnt when to say these words and what to say when somebody else says the same to them. Following this, they practiced and revised the previous lessons of counting and English alphabets.
The children also practiced writing numbers from 1 to 5 on their slates with loud repetitions in Hindi and English. Their excitement for writing on new slates was noticeable.
This class ended with the distribution of Bikano Soan Papdi, cookies and chocolates among all the children. Dr. Gopal Krishna Dwivedi accompanied the volunteers as the faculty coordinator of CSR Activities.
