The main purpose of the event was to create awareness regarding how Identity Politics has a global business impact and how it relates to Indian growth in current world order.

The guest speaker for the lecture was Prof. (Dr.) Ram Singh, HOD (Trade Operations & Logistics), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. Professor Singh talked about many things like the concept of Han-ification, overview of Nordic countries, practices of green politics and promoting organic culture and its impact on global business. Through the Han-ification concept, he talked about how China was able to rise as the biggest exporter in the world. He further elaborated the concept by concerning various parameters like race, religion and language with examples of countries like turkey, Bangladesh. He also talked about how green politics has a direct impact on European elections as the probability of winning is more for those parties who support green initiatives. He concluded the session with focus on six pillars of environmental concerns namely ecological wisdom, social justice, participatory democracy, non-violence, sustainability and respect for diversity.

All the aspects that were discussed makes it clear that Identity Politics is very useful for an organization. It not only helps the business run smoothly but allows your team to focus on the work that matters, free from the distractions caused by tasks going off track or budget spinning out of control. It empowers them to deliver results that are actually the business bottom line. And it enables the employees to see how their work contributes to the company’s strategic goals so as to be aligned with nations Identity Politics. It was a very well-planned and insightful lecture.
