The Institute of Technology & Science (I.T.S.) successfully organised FUSION 2026 – MBA & MCA Orientation Programme for the newly admitted 2026–28 batch from 17 to 22 August 2026. The six-day programme was designed to provide students with a meaningful introduction to the Institute, academic programmes, industry expectations, emerging technologies, career opportunities and campus life.
The programme began with student registration, documentation and familiarisation with the Institute’s administrative and digital facilities. The formal inauguration brought together distinguished dignitaries and academic leaders, who encouraged students to embrace continuous learning, adaptability, professional competence, ethical values and holistic development. Students were also introduced to the Institute, programme structure, academic processes, faculty, functional clubs and career-development opportunities.
A major highlight of FUSION 2026 was its strong focus on industry interaction and emerging technologies. Expert sessions covered areas such as technology-enabled supply chains, AI skills, future-ready careers, innovation, entrepreneurship, Cognitive AI, Space Technology and industry transformation. These interactions gave students valuable exposure to real-world developments and the changing skills expected by employers.
The orientation also incorporated experiential and activity-based learning through business case studies, news analysis, functional case studies, programming fundamentals, AI sessions, group activities and student engagement initiatives. These activities encouraged analytical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, teamwork and practical application of classroom concepts.
The engaging panel discussion “Beyond Disruption: Navigating AI, Industry Transformation and the Future of Careers” provided students with an opportunity to interact with industry and academic experts and explore the impact of AI on industries, job roles, employability and future career pathways. The enthusiastic participation of students made the discussion particularly enriching.
The programme concluded with Career Connect and Alumni Interaction, helping students understand placement preparation, career planning and professional expectations. Alumni from leading organisations shared their career journeys and practical experiences, offering valuable guidance on developing technical, managerial, communication and interpersonal skills.
