An insightful and engaging Industry Expert Session on the topic “Emerging Trends, Careers & the Cognitive Edge” was held on Friday, 21st August 2026, as part of FUSION – 2026, the Orientation Programme for the 23rd Batch of MBA and 30th Batch of MCA at I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad.

The session was addressed by Shri Rajesh Krishnamurthy, Group CIO, Vinmegham, an accomplished Enterprise Technology Strategist with extensive experience in CxO IT Leadership, Cybersecurity and Space Technology.

During the session, Shri Krishnamurthy shared valuable insights into the rapidly changing technology landscape and the trends shaping the future of industries and careers. He also highlighted the growing importance of developing a cognitive edge in an AI-driven world.

He encouraged students to look beyond simply acquiring technical knowledge and focus on developing the ability to learn continuously, adapt to change, think critically and solve problems effectively. He emphasized the importance of building a balanced combination of technology awareness, business understanding, problem-solving skills and strong human skills—qualities that will remain valuable as AI continues to transform the workplace.

The interaction was lively and highly engaging, with students from both MBA and MCA actively participating in the session. They raised thoughtful questions on emerging technologies, cybersecurity, career planning, future job roles, AI-led transformation and changing industry expectations. Shri Krishnamurthy responded to their questions with practical insights, real-world examples and guidance drawn from his professional experience.

The session was appreciated by both students and faculty for its interactive approach, contemporary relevance and practical orientation. Rather than being a one-way lecture, the discussion gave students an opportunity to openly interact with an experienced industry professional and gain a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges they may encounter in their careers.
