The session was conducted by Ms. Isha Sharma, Director, Trayambak & Founding Partner, who served as the external resource person. She delivered an insightful presentation on key components of IPR, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and the strategic importance of securing intellectual property.

Ms. Sharma elaborated on the IPR filing process, common misconceptions surrounding intellectual property, and the advantages of early IP protection, particularly for start-ups and emerging innovators. She also highlighted various government initiatives, including the KAPILA scheme, that support students and young entrepreneurs in safeguarding their creative and research-based outputs.

The session further introduced students to the relevance of IPR in academic research and guided them on identifying potentially patentable ideas. Practical strategies for leveraging IP assets to enhance business competitiveness were also discussed.

The event witnessed active participation from MBA and MCA students, with an engaging question–answer segment that allowed participants to clarify doubts related to patent search, documentation requirements, and procedures involved in registering intellectual property in India.
