The first session started with Rishita taking a class on synonyms and antonyms. After explaining Rishita wrote out a table of some common words to illustrate the concepts. The children were made to repeat after the teachers. Their copies were also checked by the volunteers to ensure that they were following properly.

In the second half Tulika move in to talk about some of the major inventors and their creations. References were made to epoch making achievements like Thomas Alva Edison and the electric bulb; James Watt and the steam engine; Alexander Graham Bell and the telephone, etc. Once again the students were made to repeat what they were taught.

The usual quiz followed for testing of the knowledge acquired in the two sessions, with prizes being handed out to those who answered correctly. The concluding part was then covered by Sudhanshu through Chhoti Chhoti Baatein - jaate jaate aaj ka gyan. It was time to invoke a well known Sanskrit shloka

"Na chora chauryam, na cha rajya haryam, na bhrata bhajyam, na cha bharakari Vardhate nitya ekam, vindhya danam sarva dhan pradhanam"

The day was finally brought to a close with the distribution of ‘Parle Good Day’ biscuits and Eclairs toffees.
