Ashish began the class with a discussion the components of food. He asked the children what exactly is food and why it is needed. He explained that food performs three main functions – providing energy, protection from disease and growth. Accordingly, he related how carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and fats take care of vital functions.

Next it was Rishita’s turn with a lecture on states and their languages. She interacted with the learners regarding major states like Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, as well as popular languages like Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Tamil. Those who successfully answered questions were given Éclairs toffees.

The regulation quiz covering the day's topics brought more winners, who received 'Parle Good Day' biscuits. Nagesh then took over the responsibilty for Chhoti Chhoti Baatein - jaate jaate aaj ka gyan. He opted for the Sanskrit shloka:

Yatra nari pujyante ramante tatra devta

(Divinity blossoms wherein women are honoured.)

Using these lines, Nagesh impressed upon the children the need to respect and care for women in their respective homes.

The day ended with the distribution of 'Bikano Namkeen' packets.
