He explained how the importance of standardization in management systems has resulted in the proliferation of generic standards. He addressed in detail the issue of methodology for the integration of internal, function-specific and standardized management systems. Specifically, the "ingredients' (which elements to integrate) and the "recipe' (how to integrate them). He has given his insight about the demands of managing in aninternational operating environment changed considerable over the past decade in an increasing number of industries with benefits of exploiting global economies of scale and scope enhanced the need of integration and coordination of activities.
