Prof. Parul Gupta and Dr. Anusha Agarwal attended ASSOCHAM’s11th SEZ and Industrial Parks Summit at Hotel Le-Meridien, New Delhi on 26th July, 2017
The summit was organized by ASSOCHAM India and graced by Mr. Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary, Honorable Minister of State for MSME,Government of India as the Chief Guest. This one day convention was divided into 4 sessions in which deliberations on various issues related to the Special Economic Zones in India were made by national and international speakers from amongst industry, domain experts andGovernment policy makers. 
The sessions were as follows-
SESSION 1- Inaugural

The discussion in this session focused on understanding the policy issues and business prospects in SEZs. It also deliberated on latest investment Trends in SEZs and FTZs and the role government can play in strengthening the performance of economy by improving the of SEZ.

The final session focused on the policy decisions which the government has taken and is planning to take in future to ease and accelerate the growth of SEZs and Industrial Parks. The Chief Guest of the day, Mr. HaribhaiParthibhaiChaudhary in his address urged the representatives of the industry to take advantage of the opportunities by being proactive to push ahead the cause of SEZs. He also stressed on realizing the need of the nation and to work cooperatively with each other to take the country further ahead in future.
