PG Management department at I.T.S Ghaziabad, organized a guest lecture for MBA (2017 – 19 batch) I Semester students on 21st September, 2017. The topic of the guest lecture was ‘Talent Acquisition’. The speaker for the session was Mr.Amit Sharma, Manager- HR, Relaxo Footwear Ltd.. Delhi.The speaker initiated the session by illustrating certain key areas of managerial planning, likefuture goals, different strategies to achieve desired goal, grabbing the right opportunity and so on. The leadership story of Shri Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi was also shared and it was discussed that “How and why people regard him as a leader”. Heinteracted with students and explained them the existing opportunities in the HR field. He also shared the hiring and selection process in business organizations.

He also discussed various formats of job description, job specification and KRA's, implemented and practiced by various organizations. He also briefed students about various focal points of an interview. Through this session, students were able to understand the expectations of HR at the time of interview. Students also got an opportunity to participate and engage themselves in the management games and activities. The students were actively involved and interactive throughout the session.

The guest lecture gave useful insights about hiring, recruitment and selection process. Thespeaker also addressed queries of students regarding talent acquisition, appraisal and other HR roles in current scenario of business environment. The session was coordinated by Ms. Ritu Saxena and Ms. Bhavna Bhardwaj.
