19th April, 2017 was an important date for the health-cautious ITSians who availed the benefit of Free Eye Checkup Camp organized by ITS, Ghaziabad in association with Lenskart. The presence of hon’ble Director General Dr. A. K. Puri, Director-IT Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey and Vice-Principal UG Campus Dr. S. Bhattacharya along with 62 other faculty and staff members converted this initiative of ITS Group into a real success.
The camp was formally inaugurated by hon’ble Director General Dr. A.K. Puri who inspected the setup and procedures closely to ensure that the quality of examination of eyes is not compromised at any level. Three experts (Optometrist) from Lenskart had come with the latest high-tech devices and machines to conduct the tests and deliver on the spot reports.
A wide variety of spectacles and frames were also displayed for the convenience of the visitors. Besides, each visitor was given a complimentary gift coupon worth Rs. 1000/- which could be used for purchases from any outlet of Lenskart.

The faculty and staff members from all departments – PG Management, IT, UG, Admission, CRC, APO, Accounts, AO, Labs, Library and even drivers of top authorities availed the opportunity. Since morning there was huge crowd and rush for the checkup.
Director IT Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey not only got his eyes checked up thoroughly but also did on the spot purchasing of more than Rs. 6000/- using his gift coupon.
Prof. Bhawana Bhardwaj and Dr. Gopal Krishna Dwivedi coordinated effectively for the successful Eye Checkup camp. Student volunteers Mr. Rakesh Dam and Ms. Shweta Sharma extended great help in the registration, supervision and making phone calls to the next candidates in the list.
