Finance Club ‘Finvest’ organized Debate Competition on ‘US fed rate hike and its impact on Emerging Economies including India’ for MBA (2016-18) Batch Students on 10th November 2016 in Seminar Hall, AB-I from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. A total of seven teams participated in the debate competition namely, Nitesh and Mukul, Vikram and Siddharth, Akansha Goel and Himanshu, Akansha Raneja and Shreya, Richa and Shrishti, Prakhar and Vaibhav and lastly Anita and Razi.

The debate was planned such that the students who spoke in favour of the topic were put against the students who were against the topic. The students came up with various different thoughts on the topic and presented a wonderful debate. The judges for the debate were Dr. Anusha Agarwal and Prof. Parul Gupta who had a tough time deciding the winners who came out to be Akansha Goel and Himanshu as the first prize winners, Prakhar and Vaibhav as the second prize winners and Nitesh and Mukul as the third prize winners. The winners were awarded with the prizes and the certificates.

The activity was conducted by the active members of the Finance Club namely, Pooja Agrawal, Rupanshi Bass, Pradeep Bansal, Ashish Sharma, Shankar, Ujjwal Singhal and Mayak from MBA (2016-18) Batch under the much appreciated leadership of Club President Shubham Mendiratta and Vice President Sarthak from MBA (2015-17) guided by faculty coordinator Prof. Neetu Purohit
