at UNESCO Cluster office, New Delhi. The workshop aimed at better preparing the corporates, both profit and non- profit organization for current and emerging mandate on CSR. The resource persons for the workshop included Mr. Nikhil Pant- CDO- REACHA, Former Chief Program Executive, IICA, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, GOI and Mr. Bobbymon George, Visiting faculty, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Principal- Assessment, Sattva Consulting.

As we all are aware that CSR is a mandatory practice for corporates, at the same time its compliance becomes a very tedious and engaging job. Corporates facing challenges in compliance and managing their CSR budgets need awareness and education about the CSR law, various provisions and recent amendments. Mr. Nikhil informed and guided about recent amendments and developments regarding CSR law in India. He highlighted the importance of evaluating or assessing the impact of corporates’ social development program. It will not only help them to align inter- departmental subsystems such as legal, finance, procurement and CSR, but will also help them evaluate the impact they are making towards community development. Further, Mr. Bobbymon guided on the various frameworks and program run by Sattva for assessment of CSR impact. It was a very insightful and enriching experience.
