Departmental Research Committee, Department of IT has organized two days Expert Sessions on “Social Media - Mobility- Analytics & Cloud” from 14th July -15th July 2017.
Mr. Sonik Porwal, Vice President, Oracle Alliance Tech Mahindra and Ms. Susmita Narayan, Founder, Paraangat Consultancy were the guest speaker on day 1 i.e. 14th July 2017. Topic of the session on 14th July 2017 was “The Industry Inflection point: SMAC – Social Media - Mobility- Analytics & Cloud”
Mr. Sonik Porwal discussed about the different inflection point IT industry has faced from the era of Computer invention till today: Time of Automation, Cloud and so on.

Ms. Susmita discussed about the actual need of the industry from IT students apart from the domain knowledge. She also discussed that how industry needs to train new joining through different statistics.
Overall the session was eye opening for the IT faculty members as this will definitely help them to prepare their students as per the requirement of the industry.
