The talk of the day was on ‘E-Games V/s Physical Sports’ during which the volunteers told the children about the hazards of playing games for long on electronic devices like mobile phones, tablets, computer etc. They were told that playing games on these devices has some benefits too but the number of harms is more. They were informed that this can cause loss of eyesight, appetite issues, irritable temper etc. The children were also advised that the mobile phone should never be used in the complete dark. There should be some light in the background of phone, the brightness of phone at night should be less than half and it should be used at night only if it is really urgent and important.
At the same time the children were also made familiar with the benefits of physical sports. As a practical example of the talk, Sack Race Competition was organized in which more than 110 slum children participated with great interest. Their parents and the staff of the Fire Brigade Station also witnessed the zeal and had fun.
Countless toys and clothes were distributed as the prizes to winners. Besides, Crax Curls and éclairs were distributed to all the children. Dr. Gopal Krishna Dwivedi accompanied and guided the volunteers as the faculty coordinator of CSR Club.
