8th July, 2018 activity of ‘Parivartan’- the Slum Education Programme, a CSR initiative of ITS, Ghaziabad, turned out to be rather unique for the children. Volunteers of the day were – Hitesh Sharma, Shiksha Rawat, Palak Gupta, Dushyant Raghav, Prabhat Awasthi and Nandesh Singh.

During the first session, Prof. Lokesh brought an interesting flair to the turn of events by familiarizing the learners with some not-so-well-known English terms for well-known North Indian snacks and tit-bits. The children were expectedly excited to see their favorite foodstuffs, while also being intrigued by their possible English names.

The objective was to impress on the children how to work and overcome obstacles as a team. Dr. Indraneel Mandal explained to the students why working as a team was so vital and effective.

The activity concluded with the distribution of “Crax curls” and “Mango Bite toffees”. Dr. Indraneel Mandal accompanied and motivated the student volunteers. Prof. Lokesh Upreti guided the volunteers as the faculty coordinator of CSR Club - Parivartan.
