The volunteers for the day were Sudhanshu Dixit, Pragati Singh, Vasu Garg and Nageshwar Mani Tiwari.

The introductory session of the day was on the Olympics as Pragati and Vasu, introduced the children to the world of the Olympics. She traced out the history of the games, pointing out how they started at Greece in 1896, with over 200 athletes from 14 participating nations. she also explained the significance of the Olympic symbol, discussing how the different colours of the rings in the symbol corresponded to the five major continents of the world.

Next Nageshwar and Sudhanshu took a class on LCM. They started by describing the concept of unlike fractions and how LCM provides a means for addition and subtraction between such fractions. Some of the students were called upon to come to the board to solve the problems as others did it in their copies.

After the customary quiz for evaluating the learning of the day, Sudhanshu returned with the now familiar Chhoti Chhoti Baatein - jaate jaate aaj ka gyan. Today it was a doha or couplet of Kabir:

Aisee vani boliye, mann ka aapa khoye,
Apna tan sheetal kare, auran ko sukh hoye.

Speak not through your ego, so that the body remains composed,

And you spread joy through your words.

The day concluded with the distribution of ‘Bikano Salted Peanuts’ and  ‘Parle Orange Bite’ toffees. Dr. Indraneel Mandal accompanied and motivated the student volunteers.Prof. Lokesh Upreti planned and guided the volunteers in the conduct of the programme as the faculty coordinator of CSR Club - Parivartan.
