The first session of the day was the celebration of the Father’s Day. The children were told about the significance of the day and were informed of the ‘Public Speaking Competition’ scheduled for the day. The children were asked to speak something on father with simple details like his name, his favourite dress, favourite dishes and any memorable incident when his love for the child got obvious. More than 15 children participated in the competition and won Haldirams TakaTak snacks.
This was followed by a quick revision of the previous exercises. MBA volunteer Ankit Tomar had brought sweet and salty biscuits for the slum children which were grabbed by them with wide smiles and gratitude.
The activity ended with the distribution of Tiger cream biscuits and chocolates among all the children. Dr. Gopal Krishna Dwivedi accompanied the volunteers as the faculty coordinator of Parivartan Club.
