19th March, 2017 activity of ‘Parivartan’- the Slum Education Programme, a CSR initiative of ITS, Ghaziabad was a fresh class on Measurement after which the birthday of the club President Mr. Arif Hussain was celebrated with lot of affection by the slum children. Ms. Shruti Khandelwal, a PGDM volunteer had brought special cookies for the slum buds.
Volunteers of the day Sonali Verma, Palash Bhattacharjee, George Henry, Jaydeep, Prashanjit, Abhishek Kumar, Rakesh Dam, Bikram Parajuli, Piyush Goel, Ritu Nautiyal, Shefali Gupta, Satyapal Yadav, Vikash Babu, Shruti Khandelwal, Arif Hussain and Satender Dev Rana started the class with the prayer ‘Itni shakti dena humein data’.

The talk of the day was on ‘Maapan’ (measurement) which included various aspects of measuring things like milk, oil, cloths, temperature etc. The units of measurement like Metre, Litre, Kilogram and Celsius were explained with day to day examples.
The children also celebrated the birthday of Mr. Arif Hussain, who is the President of the Parivartan Club and presented him a lovely gift with obvious affection and respect.
PGDM Volunteer Ms. Shruti Khandelwal had brought delicious cookies for the slum children which were given to them as prizes for their responses to the questions asked after the brief on Measurement.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of eggless cakes and eclairs among all the children. Dr. Gopal Krishna Dwivedi accompanied and guided the volunteers as the faculty coordinator of the CSR Club.
