The second session of the day was another celebration on the eve of Rakshabandhan. The story of the queen Karmavati of Mewar, the attacker Bahadurshah and the savior Humaun was narrated for explaining the significance of the festival. The children were told that the thread of Rakhi is actually a reminder of the commitment that we make saying that we shall help you in all emergencies of life. Rakhi can practically be tied on the wrist of anyone by anyone he/she trusts.
At the end of the celebrations, colourful clothes donated by Prof. Shikha Arora were distributed among the slum children which they grabbed in seconds with the utmost happiness and excitement.
