15th October, 2017 activity of ‘Parivartan’- the Slum Education Programme, a CSR initiative of ITS, Ghaziabad was a revelation the secrets of being rich and successful with the step by step narration of ‘The Story of Dhiru Bhai Ambani’. Besides the children enjoyed a poem too.   Volunteers of the day Ms. Anshul Jain, Niranjan Singh, Parag Agarwal, Shweta Sharma, Shashi and Rakesh Dam started the class with the prayer ‘Tumhi ho mata pita tumhi ho, tumhi ho bandhu sakha tumhi ho’ and informed the children about the session scheduled for the day.
The talk of the day was on ‘The Story of Dhirubhai Ambani’ during which the volunteers shared instances from the life-history of the founder of Reliance Group Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani.

The children were told how Mr. Dhirubhai had a humble beginning of his career as a salesman at a petrol pump for a nominal salary. Then his confidence, vision and perseverance showed him the path that enabled him emerge as the richest person of India. The hindrances, challenges and the historic decisions by him were also shared with the children. His quote ‘Jaldi socho, Bada socho, Door ki socho’ (Be quick and far-sighted visionary) was explained with examples for the curious slum buds. The description followed a short quiz that ended with the distribution of lovely yellow balls as prizes.
The children also enjoyed practicing and reciting a poem. The volunteers had bought many gifts for these children. Mr. Parag had brought yellow balls with smileys, Ms. Shweta had brought Winkies Cakes while Ms. Anshul had brought Cadbury 5 Star chocolates for the slum children.
The activity concluded with the distribution of biscuits and éclairs among all the children. Dr. Gopal Krishna Dwivedi guided the volunteers as the faculty coordinator of CSR Club.
