Dr. Uma Gulati Professor at I.T.S Mohan Nagar, MBA Department, was invited as a Resource Person by Kiddies Foundation School, Ganesh Nagar, Delhi, on November 08, 2025, to conduct an engaging workshop on the topic “Addiction of Mobile Phones Among Children.” The session was specially organised for parents to create awareness about the growing issue of mobile dependency among children.

 

During the workshop, Dr Gulati highlighted the psychological and behavioural impact of excessive mobile use, shared practical parenting tips to manage screen time, and discussed creative alternatives to engage children in productive activities. The session was highly interactive and received an enthusiastic response from the parents, who appreciated the valuable insights and humour with which the topic was addressed.

The distinguished resource person for the session was Shri Atul Tripathi, an eminent professional with over two decades of extensive experience spanning industry, research, and policy domains in Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Data Engineering. Shri Tripathi has held prestigious positions, including AI Consultant at the Prime Minister’s Office (National Security Council Secretariat), Principal Data Scientist at Tech Mahindra, Advisor at the Data Science Centre – IISER Mohali, and Honorary Adjunct Fellow at the National Maritime Foundation (Indian Navy). He has also been associated with leading institutions such as IIT Kanpur, ISI Kolkata, and Wipro Technologies.

The event began with Saraswati Vandana and the lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a Welcome Address by Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey, Director, I.T.S., who extended a warm welcome to the guest speaker and emphasized the importance of developing future-ready competencies. The session was also graced by Dr. Uma Gulati, Chairperson – MBA Programme, and Dr. Mansi Singh, Session Coordinator. The guest was felicitated with a bouquet, shawl, and gifts as a token of respect and appreciation.

In his insightful and engaging address, Shri Atul Tripathi discussed the technological trends transforming the global business landscape—particularly Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Blockchain, Data Science, and Cyber Security. He highlighted the critical need for professionals to align their skills with future industry requirements and shared valuable insights into emerging career opportunities leading up to 2030. The highlight of the event was the address by Mr. Ravish Malhotra, a distinguished technocrat and Technology Transformation Leader, whose illustrious professional journey spans globally reputed organizations such as Deloitte, Accenture, and PwC. His insightful discourse illuminated the transformative role of technology in redefining modern sales paradigms, offering students a rare blend of strategic foresight and practical wisdom. The session commenced with a warm and graceful welcome, as Dr. Uma Gulati presented a plant sapling to the esteemed guest, symbolizing growth, knowledge, and enduring collaboration.

The session emphasized the integration of technology into sales functions, focusing on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Sales Force Automation (SFA) tools. The fresher’s party for the MBA Batch 2025–27 began with a warm welcome extended by the seniors, who greeted the new students with tilak, sweets, and gifts, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.

The function commenced with the invocation of Goddess Saraswati through the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the, Shri Surendra Sood (Director – PR), Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey(Director – ITS) , Dr. Ajay Kumar (ITS School of Management) and Dr. Uma Gulati (Chairperson – MBA) marking an auspicious beginning. Following the lamp lighting, Dr. Pandey Sir addressed the gathering, sharing his valuable thoughts and extending best wishes to the fresher’s for their academic journey ahead. On this occasion, Shri Surendra Sood, also addressed the students. He motivated them to work as a team, seek guidance from seniors and faculty whenever needed, and focus on learning during their two years of study, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and continuous growth.

The cultural program began with a soulful Ganesh Vandana performed by Daksh, Archi, and Ayushi, which set a devotional and vibrant tone for the evening. The excitement built up as 22 contestants showcased their confidence and style in the solo ramp walk, followed by the pair ramp walk and the much-awaited round of introductions, where contestants introduced themselves with enthusiasm.

Ritu and her group delivered a captivating group dance performance. The talent round saw 11 contestants displaying their unique abilities, ranging from music and dance to creativity and wit, highlighting the diverse talent pool of the new batch. A graceful solo dance performance by Archi added further elegance to the program. The event then moved to the engaging question-and-answer round, where 6 finalists showcased their intellect, presence of mind, and personality.

The grand finale of the evening was the announcement of results by the Chairperson, which concluded the party on a note of excitement, celebration, and warm camaraderie between seniors and juniors. Mr. Saiyyad Abies Abbas Razwi, Ms. Vani Gautam and Ms. Ritika Singh were adjudged as Mr. Fresher, Ms. Fresher and Talent of the day respectively. The event concluded with high tea.

marked by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony led by Vice Chairman Sh. Arpit Chadha along with eminent guests Shri Arvind Thakur, Shri Deepak K. Bagchi, and Shri Kamal Dodeja. Distinguished dignitaries including Sh. Surinder Sood, Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey, Prof. Puja Dhar, Dr. Uma Gulati, Prof. Smita Kansal, Dr. Ajay Kumar, and Dr. Nancy Sharma also graced the occasion. The event featured warm addresses by academic leaders who encouraged students to develop professional skills and prepare for the corporate world. Over 60 participants attended the camp, received free medical check-ups, and were individually guided based on their health reports. Informative pamphlets were distributed, encouraging participants to adopt healthier habits and seek timely medical follow-ups. MBA Orientation Program ARAMBH 2025 for MBA batch 2025-27 Batch

Institute of Technology & Science, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized the 5th and final Day of the Orientation Program “Aarambh” for MBA Batch 2025–27 on September 12, 2025.

The day commenced with Session 1 on the topic “How to Face Challenges in VUCA World” at Dronacharya Auditorium from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The session began with a welcome address and the presentation of a plant sampling to the guest by Dr. Uma Gulati, Chairperson-MBA. The session was delivered by Mr. Sushil Aggarwal, a distinguished motivational speaker, corporate trainer and Chairman, AVRO India Ltd, who captivated the audience with practical insights on navigating a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world.

Through interactive discussions, real-life stories, and activities, he emphasized the importance of communication, emotional expression, time management, goal-setting, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and self-belief. Key highlights included the Chinese Bamboo Story, a “Sell Yourself” activity, and reflections on social responsibility through organ donation.

The session concluded with a token of appreciation presented by Dr. Puneet Kumar, leaving students motivated to embrace adaptability, positivity, and resilience in both professional and personal spheres. The session was anchored by Mr. Arpit Sharma, a second-year MBA student.

In the afternoon, Session 2 on “Interaction with Career Development Placement Cell” was conducted at Seminar Hall AB-1 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The session began with the welcome of Ms. Renu Bala Gautam, Head, Corporate Resource Centre (CRC), who elaborated on the role of CRC in career building, the importance of specialization, and insights into placement processes and internships.

She also addressed challenges faced by freshers in corporate life, provided guidance on recruiters, eligibility criteria, job roles, and shared placement objectives of the institute. The session featured an interactive placement quiz with rewards, along with a motivational video that kept the students engaged and inspired. It concluded with a formal vote of thanks, and the session was anchored by Mr. Neeraj Mewari, a second-year MBA student.

Prof. Shilpi Rana, also joined the session and highlighted the significance of personality development, digital fluency, entrepreneurial mindset, soft skills, and effective body language in interviews.

The 5th and final day of “Aarambh” thus provided the students with enriching insights into overcoming challenges in a VUCA world while also equipping them with practical knowledge for career development and corporate readiness, making the orientation program a memorable and impactful experience.
