“Swatchta Pakhwada” organized by “5S” Club of Management Department.

Management Department of ITS, Ghaziabad conducted various activities under “Swatchta Pakhwada” as Initiated by MHRD and AICTE. Activities lined up during the fifteen days were Essay Contest on “What I can do for clean India”, “Green Campus Day”, Short Film Competition on “What I can do for clean India”, “Clean Mess Day”, “Clean Hostel Day” and “Cleanest Hostel Room” Contest on 1st -15th September 2017.

The first activity was organized on 4th September which was an essay writing competition on topic “What I can do for Clean India”. The students wrote very interesting and creative ideas on cleanliness and the winners of the First, Second and Third Prize were Anchal Omar, Jhalak Agarwal and Anisur Rehman, all PGDM (2017-19) Batch students along with five consolation prizes that went to Shikha Rawat MBA (2017-2019), Sunidhi Jain PGDM (2017-2019), Anneysha PGDM (2016-2018), Abhijeeta PGDM (2016-2018) and Subhrasha Das PGDM (2017-2019)

The second activity “Green Campus Day” was on 6th September, 2017 wherein the students celebrated their green surroundings by planting lovely saplings in the campus. Then on 11th September there was a message of Clean Mess Day, the “5S” Students Club carried message of cleanliness to the mess accompanied by faculty members Dr. Anusha Agarwal and Prof. Neetu Purohit. Then there were Clean Hostel Day and Cleanest Hostel Room Contest wherein students worked overnight to make sure their room was the cleanest one. The faculty members Dr. Anusha Agarwal and Prof. Neetu Purohit visited the girls rooms in the Girls Hostel and Dr. Puneet Kumar and Prof. Alok visited the boys rooms in the Boys Hostel to judge the cleanest room. Here the winners of the First Prize were Somya and Purvi from MBA (2016-18) batch, Second Prize winners were Novika and Swati and the Third Prize winners were Rashi and Abhijeeta from PGDM (2017-19) Batch from Girls Hostel and from Boys Hostel the prize winners were First prize went to Vaibhav Hemrajani, Nikhil Kumar and Achyut Agarwal from PGDM (2017-19) second prize went to Mayank Chaturvedi, Vaibhav Pandey and Tosif Ahmad from PGDM (2016-18) and the Third Prize went to Sandeep Shukla, Azad Yadav and Amit Kumar from PGDM (2017-19). The last activity was and an Elocution contest on “health and hygiene is the real wealth” wherein students were given various sub themes and required to speak for 3 minutes. The winners declared were First Prize winner was Rubiya Nur, Second Prize winner was Jhalak Agarwal and the Third Prize winner was Nandesh along with consolation prize to Saurab Tyagi, all students from PGDM (2017-19) Batch. All the winners were awarded with the Prizes and the Certificates by Director Management, Dr. Ajay Kumar on the closing ceremony organized on 16th September, 2017 wherein DM Sir also addressed the students appreciating them for their whole hearted participation and highlighting the significance of such events for the country as a whole.

The students of MBA and PGDM showed lot of excitement and enthusiasm in all the activities which were wonderfully coordinated by “5S” Club Office Bearers from PGDM second year namely, Payel, Ruby, Debashish and Ginni along with PGDM First Year Active Members namely, Rupam, Sandeep Shukla, Mahima, Sreyashi, Saumya and Azad under the guidance and mentorship of faculty coordinator Dr. Anusha Agarwal and Prof. Neetu Purohit.
