27th August, 2017 activity of ‘Parivartan’- the Slum Education Programme, a CSR initiative of ITS, Ghaziabad was ‘learn with fun’ class in which the concepts of Maths were explained in the form of riddles and puzzles on board.
Volunteers of the day Anupriya Pathak, Sudha Singh, Khushnuma Siddiqui, Kajal Soam, Nitin Kumar, Soumya Sapra, Ankit Pal, Anisur Rehman, Mahima Gupta, Prashant Kumar Sharma, Bikram Parajuli, George Rudolf Henryand Rakesh Dam started the activity with the prayer ‘Tumhi ho mata pita tumhi ho, tumhi ho bandhu sakha tumhi ho’.
The first session of the day was on addition in Maths. The students were given specific tasks and were called to Marker Board one by one to do it. Those who found it difficult were assisted by volunteers who guided them with day to day examples and different tricks.

The second session of the day was subtraction in which the children were given different puzzles and were motivated with loud claps for doing it correctly. The needy were assisted.
The slum children enjoyed this session a lot as it was different from routine classes. This not only made them learn new lessons of Math but also gave them the fun of solving puzzles.
The class concluded with the distribution of Crax and éclairs among all the children.
