The first session of the day was on the ‘Importance of the Books’ in which the Library Club members told the children that the books are the windows to the world. The good books share our sorrows and happiness and make us aware of the updates of the universe. The children were also explained how a person writes his lifetime experiences in a book and when the same book is read by us we gain wisdom out of these experiences explained in the book. Thus reading 10 good books is like gaining the experiences of 10 lives in just one birth.

The second session of the day was a fun-filled ‘Straw and Gem Competition’ in which the Library Club members asked the children to suck through the straws and get the Gems candies stuck to straw pipes. Then the task was to run to the finishing line without letting the candies drop. The scene was hilarious and full of excitement and uproar. Everyone enjoyed including the staff members of the Fire Brigade Station and the passersby.

The members of Library Club had bought more than 80 unique items like lighted balls, dolls and Doraemon bubble blower through mutual contribution which were distributed among the children as the prizes. Prof. Shikha Arora was really kind who blessed the children and felicitated them with fabulous prizes.

The activity concluded with the distribution of Bingo Tedhe-medhe and éclairs among all the children. Dr. Gopal Krishna Dwivedi accompanied and guided the volunteers as the faculty coordinator of CSR Club.
