Prof. Puja Dhar and Prof. Saurabh Saxena along with the students of MCA 2nd year attended National Conference on "Electric Mobility: Strengthening Eco System-The Way Forward" organized by ASSOCHAM

On 14th October 2022 Faculty members of IT Department including Prof. Puja Dhar and Prof. Saurabh Saxena along with the students of MCA 2nd year attended the National Conference on "Electric Mobility: Strengthening Eco System-The Way Forward" organized by ASSOCHAM at the hotel Shangri-La in New Delhi.

 

Shri Mahendra Nath Pandey Hon’ble Union Minister of Heavy Industry, Govt. of India, Major General V K Singh Hon’ble Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Govt. of India and Shri Suman Bery Vice Chairperson NITI Aayog were among the invited Government Dignitaries in the conference.

The key issues discussed in the conference were Centre And State Initiatives for EV Promotion , FAME-II policy , Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme , Adopting Best Practices EV Technology ,Setting Battery and Charging Infrastructure Right , Financing Issues and Partnership Opportunities ,Incentives, subsidy and financing challenges , Managing Challenges of Charging Infrastructure ,Digitization, Data Analytics, and Industry4.0 , Indian EVmarket and key trends , Investment opportunities, Assessment of Manufacturing Ecosystem ,Enabling ecosystem for electric mobility in India ,Battery Technology, Recycling & Disposal , Standardisation of batteries and Charging stations.

It was a new learning for all the students and faculty members.

Prof. Puja Dhar and Prof. K P Singh attended AWS Summit in The Leela, Gurugram on 9th September 2022.

During the Summit, Amazon Redshift ML was also introduced and many Government projects were also discussed in this summit. . The whole day was new learning and discussion on the applications of Cloud

Dr. Umang, Chaired Technical Session on  theme  “High-Performance Networking and Information Security” on 18th March 2021 

in  15th INDIACom ; 8th International Conference on “Computing for Sustainable Global Development” organized at BVICAM, New Delhi during 17th – 19th March 2021 in association with IEEE Delhi Section, CSI Delhi Chapter, ISTE Delhi Section.

In the session, a total of 12 papers on the theme related to High-Performance Networking and Information Security were presented by authors from different colleges in different states and abroad. 
It was throughout nice interaction with the authors during the session.

Faculty Attended Gender Equality Summit 2020

Prof. Yachna Malhotra and Dr. Vivek Pachauri, faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, attended Gender Equality Summit 2020

by United Nations Global Compact Network India at The Lalit, New Delhi on 6th March 2020. The theme of the Summit “Gender Equality – A key differentiator for sustainable development.

The objective of the Summit was to align the international theme with the Indian fabric to highlight the current generation as a key driver and India Inc. as a key catalyst for gender equality. Being more aware, more connected and more vocal about gender rights, this ‘Generation Equality’ holds the potential to bring about a change from the rural entrepreneurial landscape to the formal urban workplace. GES 2020 deliberates on how the 2020 India Inc can channel this potential through its know-how and resources to magnify focus on gender equality, gender norms and gender neutrality across industries and sectors.

The Summit had four plenary sessions.

Plenary 1 was focused on “Targets of SDGs Goal No 5

Plenary 2 was on the theme UNDG’s MAPS (Mainstreaming, Acceleration and Policy Support) framework

Plenary 3 was on the theme ““Means of mainstreaming and inclusion of women in social, economic and political activities”.
Plenary 4 showcased “Compendium on Best Practices on Gender Equality in India “

The entire Summit was insightful thus provided opportunity to network and understand the corporate policies and best practices on Gender Equality. It was a great learning experience.

Faculty presented Paper at ICICT 2020 in Coimbatore

Dr. Indraneel Mandal, Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, presented Paper at ICICT 2020 in Coimbatore.

The International Conference on Inventive Computing Technologies (ICICT 2020) was held at Coimbatore from 26th to 28th February 2020. It was organized by RVS Technical Campus under the aegis of IEEE.

The Inaugural Session of the conference was graced by Dr. D. Nirmal, Chair – IEEE ED Coimbatore Chapter, IEEE Madras Section. He spoke about the impact of the Internet of Things, and why it was imperative for research in this field to progress further. He also cautioned against the threat of security compromises, including the growing menace of identity theft. At the same time, he also alluded to the need for democratizing the phenomenon by involving the general population, ultimately leading to better governance practices.

The three-day conference featured several speakers and delegates from a diverse cross-section consisting of corporate practitioners, academics, research scholars and students. Papers presented covered some of the most cutting edge work in this field.

Dr. Mandal presented an empirical paper titled “Solving Bi-Objective Stage Shop Scheduling Problem by Flower Pollination Algorithm with Fuzzy Orientation”. Dr. D. Vinoth Kumar, IEEE AES Madras Section, and Professor, BioMedical Engineering, VMU University, presided as the Session Chair. Faculty presented Paper at International Conference

Prof. Shikha Arora from the Management Department presented a paper titled "Psychological contract as a structure for understanding career commitment and career advancement:

A Research Agenda" in the International Conference on Inclusive Development through Social Innovation: Opportunities and Challenges held at Army Institute of Management & Technology, Greater Noida on 28th February 2020. The esteemed panel of judges appreciated the research idea presented and also accepted the paper for publication in the AIMT Journal of Management. The Conference was inaugurated by Honourable Minister, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Jal Shakti.

The conference provided a platform to present and discuss innovative and creative research ideas and it was a good learning experience.

Faculty of department of management attended 2 Day Workshop

Dr. Garima Srivastav from Department of Management, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad attended  two  days workshop organized by Indian Institute of Management -Lucknow (IIM-L)

along with CMEE & North American Society for Marketing Education in India on "Conducting and Publishing High Quality Research in Empirical Modeling for Marketing Strategy" by Dr. Venkatesh'Venky' Shankar (Mays Business School, Texas A & M University) on Thursday and Friday, 6th & 7th  February 2020.

Dr.Garima Srivastav got opportunity to Design and present her Research Proposal on “FOMO:A Shift in Behavioural Trend”. It was the great opportunity to get a chance for research proposal presentation and to get it evaluated byDr. Shankar himself. The sights of the workshop laid emphasis on the issues like –Framing Research ideas and question, Methodological skills, Casual Modelling, Big Data Machine learning and AI, Structural Modelling, Future marketing Models.

The workshop fostered high quality research in Empirical Modeling, Strong Research Ideas, Issues and question, Methodological Skills, crafting the paper and revising the paper, participants working on proposal, analysis of proposal and strategy formulation for the participants. There were total of 36 participants from across the Length and breadth of the country including IIM Kozikhode, PDPU-Ghandhinagar ,RGPIT Amethi, IIM-Lucknow.

Faculty attended Budget Viewing Session at PHDCCI, New Delhi

Dr. Rajeev Johari attended the session on budget overview 2020-21 called by PHDCCI at their premises, where distinguished scholars and business stalwartsdelivered their expert opinion on the subjectfollowed by collective viewing of the budget telecast and discussions on it.

Mr. D. K Aggarwal, President, PHD Chamber gave his welcome remarks focusing on health sector of economy as well as on tax reforms as the need of the current economy of the country. There were varied experts from taxation, academia, think tank, industries, media and banking sector who interacted over the opening remarks.

Mr. Gopal Krishna Agarwal National spokesperson of BJP expressed that to reach the summit of economy, we need to focus on investing for asset and make our country an export hub by focusing on every district and the product characterizing it.He specifically mentioned that we are earmarking capital of 5 trillion in next five years reflecting upon the confidence of the current Indian government.

Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, Senior President, PHD Chamber highlighted his views on social sector and infrastructure sector of the economy.Mr. Pradeep Multani, Vice President, PHD Chamber and Mr. Rajeev Talwar and other experts commented on the health sector and corporate taxation.Mr. Lalit Khaitan, Chairman, Economic Affairs Committee, PHD Chamber expressed his views on the working system of cyber security and artificial intelligence as the essential part of our economy.

These were followed by Pin pointed deliberations by Dr. Rajat Kathuria, Director and CE of ICRIER and Dr. Subhash Chandra Pandey, former Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of commerce and Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Ministry of Textiles on the subject of start ups and small scale enterprises towards the boosting up of economy. Dr. Rajat focused on the subject of international and Indirect tax structure. Prof. Rajesh Chadha, Program Director- National Resources, Brooking Institution in his pinpointed deliberation expressed thoughts on institutional growth and foreign investments.

Mr. Rajeev Talwar,Chairman of PHDCCI concluded the session by asserting that we need be multi dimensional while approaching the policies.

Overall the message of the budget speech by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman touches upon the three pillars like aspiration economy, economic development, and caring society for women, enterprises, startup, housing, culture, tourism, infra, taxation and health sector and skill education that should be invested with young minds and engineers.
