    Department of management of Institute of Technology and Science Ghaziabad organised and international conference on global trends in Management, Governance and Ethics on 15 April 2016.
    The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr Jitendra Kumar Das Director School of Management, New Delhi. Dr A K Puri Director General, delivered the welcome address followed by conference overview by Dr Puneet Kumar.
    During his keynote address Dr. Jitendra Kumar Das discussed how management governance and ethics are interrelated to each other. Dr Das discussed how initially computers came into being in India and discussed the evolution of computing Technology and very aptly highlighted the end user and the technology interface. Dr Das also talked about how technology can be used to increase efficiency.
    He emphasis that entrepreneurial activity is killed by too many regulations and freedom to do new things, he emphasized that how entrepreneur activity has become social driving force in our country to empower the youth and creating the employment in the economy.
    Technical Session:
    The technical session was attended by distinguished speaker from the Academics.
    Dr Kanhaiya Singh professor GLA University, Mathura, Dr Alok Pandey, Professor Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi, Dr D K Batra Professor IMI, New Delhi, and Dr. Rakesh Mohan Joshi professor IIFT New Delhi was the main speakers for the session.
    The first speaker was Dr. Kanhaiya Singh and he spoke on how banking can change the entrepreneurial ecosystem and how banking can be used to transfer the benefits especially in the social sector to the needy one in the rural area areas.
    The second speaker was Dr Alok Pandey has his main focus was on how various financial services have evolved over a period of time and have become an integral part of overall development in our economy.
    Dr D K Batra, discussed how marketing and various aspects of marketing can be used to by various start-ups and the existing players in the economy. He said that management governance and entrepreneurship are somehow related to each other and they need not to be seen differently.
    The last speaker was Dr. Rakesh Mohan Joshi wherein he emphasized how international trade is evolving over a period of time. He also emphasized the urgency and the need to create a system where in government should promote exports and make the balance of trade more favourable in the long run.
    The third session was research paper presentations by participants from various institutes more than 20 papers were presented in different categories of Management function like Finance, Human resource, Marketing, International Business, Information Technology in Management and General Management.
    Best paper award was given to

    2. Chirag Malik in marketing area
    3. Prof. Sonika Sharma in human resource area
    4. Prof. S.K Tannan in general management area
    Conference came to an end with a valedictory session wherein each winner was given a certificate and a citation for best paper in its category.

    National Seminar on Cyber Security: Issues & Challenges (CSIC-2017) organized by Department of IT, I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad on Saturday, 18th March, 2017 concluded with grand success. The Seminar was inaugurated by Shri M.S. Vilkhu - Chief of Information Security at IBM, Ms. Karnika Seth, Cyber Law Practitioner, Supreme Court of India Attorney at law. & Founding Partner Seth Associates, New Delhi, Shri. Surinder Sood, Director (PR) - I.T.S - The Education Group, Prof. Ashok Kumar Puri - Director General, I.T.S, Ghaziabad and Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey - Director (IT) at I.T.S, Ghaziabad.
    After the Inaugural Session, Experiential Talks Session was scheduled in which The Industry Experts and Practicing Professionals, who are actually into Cyber Security related domains addressed and share their perspectives in different sessions ranging into Legal, Telecom Technology, Data Center, Application Security including Internet of Things (one of the most fast coming up Technology), Financial (HeroFinCorp), Banking domains. This session was graced by the presence of Key note Speakers, Shri Mr. Bharat Gautam, CISO, Hero Fincorp, Shri Sameer Gandhi, Director-Telecom(India & South Asia), Juniper Network, Mumbai, Shri Bohitesh Mishra, Vice President – IT & BI, Simpa Network, Shri Nishith Seth Executive Director - SSPL Mumbai.
    With an objective to provide students opportunity to explore, prepare and demonstrate their understanding of Cyber Space, Cyber Crimes, Cybder Security Threats, Cyber Laws, two activities - Poster Presentation and Paper Presentation Contests were organized. It was wonderful to see the kind of work students carried out and presented confidently before the Judges and Industry Experts including Shri, Sameer Gandhi, Director (Telecom) - India and South Asia and Shri Bohitesh Misra - Vice President (BI & IT), Simpa Networks.

    It was a great learning for everyone who were present in different sessions of the Seminar.

    Speaking as the first Speaker of the first session on the theme “Digital India: Its impact on Socio-Economic & Framework of India” renowned academician, researcher and established scientist, Dr. M.M. Pant said that organizing an event like this is certainly an opportunity to connect the present business leaders with the future CEOs. Dr. Pant emphasized on the fact that presently wealth is created through knowledge and then wealth is re-invested to produce new knowledge and then to understand how new knowledge can be used and applied for generating wealth and the cycle continues. There is a need to create the opportunity which comes out of some existing challenge and find out the solution for the same. This cycle keeps continue to consistent efforts to identifying challenges and working on finding out the solution which will continue to change regularly and thus we cannot afford to be on ease once we develop solution for any identified problem as tomorrow somebody else may come up with better solution and challenge is to keep solution optimal, convenient & easy to use.
    Dr. V. Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT Delhi while addressing the gathering said that Digital India is an ambitious program initiated by the Govt. of India with an objective to digitally empower the citizens of the country by creating a competent IT enabled infrastructure for effective delivery of services and products.
    While addressing the gathering Shri Manoj Chugh, President (Enterprise Business), Tech Mahindra said that India is becoming a robust domestic data consumption market with digital data consumption expected to increase at twice as fast as the worldwide rate from being around 40,000 petabyte in 2010 to 2.3 million petabytes in 2020. He had an interactive session with students and he emphasized on the need for Innovations and then continues to innovate to sustain and assess consistently the Impact of Technology as it will ensure the sustainability.
    Dr. Anupam Gupt, Jt. Secretary, Dy. Director General – Telecom Services, Min of Com & IT, GOI in his address, said that being the dream of our Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi ji, it would provide momentum to cover digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, digital empowerment with universal digital literacy to common citizen mandated delivery of various government’s services electronically through ‘e-governance’. He also congratulated the Department of I.T for organizing such a big event.
    Sh. KRD Srinivas, Executive Director, IBM Digital said that the mission of Digital India is to have High-speed Digital Highways which will unite the Nation, where 1.2 billion connected Indians drive Innovation and Knowledge is strength which empowers the People to access the Information. Technology will ensure that the Citizen-Government Interface is Incorruptible, Quality Education reaches the most inaccessible corners driven by Digital Learning, e-Commerce drives Entrepreneurship, the World looks to India for the next Big Idea and where the Netizen is an Empowered Citizen.

    While addressing the gathering Maj. Gen(Dr.) G.D. Bakshi said that today we are not afraid of physical attacks on the country but we are worried about the cyber attacks.
    Sh. Sunil Ranjhan, Sr. Vice President(HR), Honda said that Digital India mission is an initiative of Govt. of India which aims at Digital Empowerment of citizens and creates an environment through competent infrastructure where the benefits of IT and IT enable tools ITeS are extended to the masses. Such occasions play very crucial role in creating awareness & taking the vision, benefits, provisions and the implementation mechanism through experience, vision, thought & Knowledge sharing by those who are involved in conceptualizing and implementing the same.
    Sh. Rajiv Garg, Executive Director, BHEL said that on early public policy in an independent India focused on economic planning, adopting new technologies, and nurturing indigenous science and technology talent. About 50 years down the line, the early 1990s saw a move towards market-oriented economic policies to expand private investment in driving growth. This gave a fillip to the IT and ITeS industry. The 1990s was seminal not only for the IT and ITeS industries, but for the country as a whole. From policies that looked at regulated growth, we moved ahead, buoyed by the winds of liberalization. By the year 2019, 2.5 lakh villages will have broadband connection along with the added feature of phone connectivity.
    While speaking to the students, Sh. Ashok Sharma, Associate Vice President, Amar Ujala emphasized on the security of data on the cyber space. He advised students to take care while sharing the data on facebook and whatsapp. He said that today’s youth is having full support of IT and he can take various advantages of it.
    Ms. Karnika Seth, Managing Partner & Cyber Law Expert, Seth Associates while addressing the gathering said that in the age of social media and cloud computing, investigation of cybercrimes require data and evidence often located in another jurisdiction. There are widespread phishing attacks, global attacks on infrastructure, transnational organized crimes and cyberwars. Therefore, international cooperation in cybercrime matters is not an advantage but a necessity today. She make audience aware about various IT Law Acts which were regarding sending the obscene pictures, illegal text messages, chatting with wrong intention, videos and many more. She said that especially students while sharing data on net should be aware of its pros and cons. She also said that how involvement of technology is helping the court in solving many cases in a day. She advised students to take advantages of technology rather that to misuse it.
    Sh. Pramod Panda, Principal Chief General Manager, RBI also talked about the various pillars of Digital India Mission and advised students to be industry ready products where IOT will play an important role in the coming days.

It is estimated that by 2019, about 1.7 crore young Indians will have proper training in IT, Telecom and electronics. This directly leads to 1.7 crore jobs for Indian Youth in about four years from now. With these developments, India is expected to become the world leader in IT interface with e-Governance and e-services getting maximum exposure.
    Sh. Ajay Mishra, Director(Technology), Ericsson talked about many projects taken by their company. He also said that the 5G era is upon us. An era where every person, thing, and use case will be enabled with both seamless connectivity and massive computing power for the very first time, transforming the way we interact with our world. He also talked about the Gartner’s prediction that IoT’s powerful force for business transformation and its disruptive impact will be felt across all industries and all areas of society. This is presumably a great leap forward towards a more efficient lifestyle that will make our lives better, safer and easier.
    While addressing the gathering, Mr. Rajan Agarwal, Director, Ebix also that iinitiative on Internet of Things (IoT-GSI) defined the IoT as "the infrastructure of the information society." The IoT allows objects to be sensed and/or controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure, creating opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems, and resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit. Now students have to take up the live projects on IOT and make themselves prepared for the future.
    Dr. Kumar Padmanabh, Lead Scientist(IOT), BOSCH being the scientist in the field of IOT, Mr. Kumar said that about in tomorrow’s world, a device will no longer be just a device, but rather one of billions of nodes, communicating via an intelligent network that surrounds us. Any “thing” connected will be a gateway to a virtually unlimited range of new capabilities and experiences, powered by rapid and ubiquitous access to the cloud. From self-driving cars, drones and robots, to wearable devices, to sensors embedded in virtually everything—by 2020 more than 50 billion connected devices will be in use, making our homes, our cities, and our lives richer and smarter. As we speed toward 2020, we must start to connect “things” now, allowing them to become greater than the sum of their parts. He also advised students that they should update their skills in IOT too.
    On this occasion, a Souvenir printed on the occasion of this CXO Meet was also released by the eminent guests present on this occasion. The Souvenir comprised of messages from Hon’able Padhma Bushan , Dr. F.C Kohli who is regarded as father of IT Industry in India, Dr. V.Ramgopal Rao, Dr. Anupam Gupt, Dr. M.M.Pant, Sh. Manoj Chugh and other guests from India & Abroad. During the release of the Souvenir apart from the dignitaries on the stage, Sh. Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, ITS-The Educations Group, Sh. B.K. Arora, Secreatry, I.T.S-The Education Group, Sh. Surinder Sood, Chief Administrator, I.T.S The Education Group and other eminent speakers of the CXO Meet were also present.

Rakesh Malik, MD, Combine Ways & Former Vice President, Siemens, said that Telecommunications industry is playing the role of backbone in providing infrastructure to IT services. He motivated the students to learn new skills and to convert the demographic dividend of India into monetary dividend. He emphasized on the need of skilling Indian youths.
    Keynote Speaker, Sh. Aniruddha Sen, Enterprise Strategic Advisor, Microsoft India said that the technological advancements have started to reach the masses. The next era is not of connecting the people rather it will be of connecting the devices. He gave various examples how IT applications are being used in social, business and educational context.
    Another Key Note Speaker of the session, Sh. Harshdeep Marwah, Country Manager, Verizon Enterprises Solutions, addressed the audience and shared his various experiences. He narrated his entrepreneurial journey. Sh. Marwah motivated the students to believe in their own capabilities and decisions. He said that we should consider business and technology as two separate entities. These are two complementary things and not the supplementary. The entrepreneurs should focus on creating robust business models and then should think that how technology can make this model more efficient.
    The conference was an effort to bring researchers, industry professionals, academicians and practitioners on a common platform to deliberate on latest trends, tools and technologies in the broad-based areas of Business, Education and Society and how Information Technology can play its role in making the things happen.
    Conference received papers from authors affiliating to premier institutes like IIT, reputed companies and other universities covering various states of country such as Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi etc. These papers were rigorously reviewed for acceptance on various quality parameters and finally 25 papers were shortlisted for presentation in Conference.
    Inaugural Session was followed by a Technical Session on "Leveraging IT impact of Next Generation Technologies on Businesses, Education & Society".

    Sh. Ashok Jade, CIO, Shalimar Paints, in his address said that it requires hard work and perseverance for succeeding in any field. He interacted with the audience, especially the students, and said that students should imbibe creativity and innovation amongst themselves. He further emphasized on the need of inclusive and sustainable global development.
    Sh. Ashish Bhatia, Program Manager, Microsoft Boston, gave a very knowledgeable talk. He presented a very insightful series of applications developed at Microsoft who are supporting businesses and society at large. There are various newer technological verticals such as Big Data Analytics, Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision that are impacting human life. He presented a notion of seamlessly connected world and technology behind this connection.

    Dr. D. K. Tayal, Associate Professor, IGDTUW Delhi spoke on the theme of Artificial Intelligence. He said that nowadays, all the gadgets and devices have some sort of intelligence. We should inspire our students to innovate and do out of box things. He gave an in-depth coverage of Fuzzy Logic and its applications in AI research.

    Dr. T. V. Vijay Kumar, Assistant Professor, JNU started his address by differentiating the concept of Database and Data warehouse. Dr. Kumar said that Data warehouse supports redundancy as well as uniqueness with the help of time stamp. He then touched upon various applications and research directions in the field of Data Warehousing.

    The technical session was concluded by Prof. Chandra Mani Sharma, Organizing Secretary, NGTBES-2016. Prof. Sharma summarized the key points discussed during the session.

    Paper presenters presented their research papers in two post-lunch paper presentation sessions. The session chairs for parallel paper presentation sessions were Dr. Rabins Porwal, Associate Professor, ITS Ghaziabad & Dr. Umang Singh, Assistant Professor, I.T.S Ghaziabad.
    During valedictory session of the Conference, Best Paper Awards & Certificate distribution ceremony was held.
    The recipients of ‘Best Paper Awards’ were as follows:

    • First Prize: Ms. Bhavana, Banasthali University, Jaipur (Rs. 5,000/- Cash, Certificate and Shield)

    Institute of Technology and Science, Ghaziabad organized one day National Seminar on ‘Volatility Spillover of Each Sector Across Financial Markets’ on 6th February, 2016. The Institute organizes such seminars in different domains of specializations to update the knowledge and skills of the students with the latest industry inputs and trends.
    The event started with the Inaugural Session opening by Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Convener of the Seminar, welcoming the honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S. The Education Group, Mr. Arpit Chadha, Director Management, Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Chief Guest Mr. Shailendra Bebortha, Chief Operating Officer, Sunborne Energy Technologies and Keynote Speaker Mr. V.K. Raina, President AVR Consultancy, Ex Chairman, Bank of Aldofar, Dubai and giving an overview of the Seminar. Director Management Dr. Sapna Rakesh addressed the students that such events give an opportunity to interact with the industry experts. Vice Chairman, I.T.S. The Education Group, Mr. Arpit Chadha also addressed the students and wished them a day full of learning with new insights. Thereafter the Chief Guest for the Seminar Mr. Shailendra Bebortha, not only shared the recent developments in finance but also advised the future managers to remain updated and poised as there will be increased demand of financial experts in future. The Keynote speaker was Mr. V.K. Raina also shared his vast experience and gave valuable insights into the various factors leading to the crises in the financial markets. His speech invited various interesting questions from the students which were duly addressed.

    Then there was a Technical Session on ‘Personal Finance in Turbulent Times’ where the experts were Mr. Prashant Sharma, Senior VP, ICICI Securities, Mr. Abhishek Pradhan, Director, Financial Consulting Firm, Ex. VP IndusInd Bank and Ms. Kavita Rai, Senior Manager, Delhi Stock Exchange. Mr. Prashant Sharma discussed the various factors leading to crises including economic factors and political factors, reasons for Chinese market crash and how such factors impact the wealth and financial assets of any person. He suggested that one should not simply buy stock but invest in promising and growth oriented companies. Mr. Abhishek Pradhan deliberated how the crises have always been there and one should not be pessimistic but rather always focus on managing the crises to overcome it successfully. He also stressed how as managers one is always required to view problems not as problems but as opportunities for doing new things. Finally the last speaker of the session Ms. Kavita Rai shared her vast experience of twenty five years in the stock exchange and advised students that they should not jump into the market without any information only for speculating or trading purposes but rather acquire the right information and correct details and then think of investing in the market for better returns.

    Later there was a Panel Discussion on topic ‘Impact of Global Financial Crisis on Indian Financial Sector’ where the experts were Mr. Vikas Arora, VP, Yes Bank; Mr. Gursharan Rai Bansal, Senior VP, UTI Asset Management Company; Mr. Manoj Kumar Sabat, AVP, IL&FS Energy; Mr. Vikas Gupta, Director, Compark Ltd. and Ms. Anju Sethi, AGM, Punjab National Bank. The moderator of the panel was Dr. Deepak Tandon, Professor, IMI, Delhi. The eminent speakers from industry discussed the various causes of the current financial crisis such as the Chinese market crash, crude oil crisis, political unrest and gave valuable insights how one thing is related to the other. The speakers also deliberated on the challenges and opportunities in the current scenario for the start up companies. Ms. Anju Sethi highlighted how the spillover effect is natural as adversity in one country affects other nations as well and how bankers have to be a little more cautious and follow the credit ratings strictly. Mr. Manoj Kumar Sabat discussed that financial crisis has majorly affected the private sector and public sector is not much affected as there is not much problem of debt. Mr. Gursaran Rai Bansal very interestingly brought the concept of ‘VUCA’ (V= volatility, U= uncertainty, C= complexity, A= ambiguity) situation which is presently the scenario. Mr. Vikas Gupta explained how financial crisis affects an entrepreneur or startup further stressing that financial crisis comes after every 3 years and so one should be prepared for it. Also stating that such crisis is the ideal time to initiate a startup become one is more creative and innovative at that time and talent availability is also more. Mr. Vikas Arora, explained Chinese market crash stating that the country’s exports are reducing and so China went ahead with devaluating its currency to induce an increase in exports.
    Toward the conclusion of the event vote of thanks was given by Prof. Nitin Saxena thanking all the speakers, faculty and the students for successfully organizing the seminar which greatly benefitted the participants and the students.

    Department of management studies of Institute of Technology & Science, Ghaziabad organized a National Marketing Leadership Conclave on “Reorienting Marketing: Roadmap for Sustainable Growth” on 26th , 27th & 28th November, 2015. With an objective of widening learning opportunities to the learners by creating a sustained marketing euphoria the conclave was planned for three days. The three days of event were full of competitive events for students like marketing Plan competition, Poster making competition, marketing quiz competition, Digital campaign, retail outlet strategy presentation, and retail shows, exhibitions of recent product launches, industry expert talks, and forum interactions.

    The marketing conclave was started with the welcome address by Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Driectgor Management and was jointly inaugurated by Mr. Pradeep Kashyap, MD, MART Rural and as a Chief Guest and Mr David Whittenberg, CEO, Innovation Workgroup as a Key note Speaker. Mr Kashyap highlighted the relevance of new set of 4 Ps in modern times. He said that the traditional 4Ps fail to place customers in focus and cover more of the sellers perspective. He proposed the new 4 Ps as – Purpose, Passion, Public and Partnership. Mr David emphasized on need for speed of strategic planning and implementation for Indian companies.

    First day of the conclave was full of prize winning competitive events for the students. 62 teams participated in the first round of Marketing Quiz followed by 18 teams in marketing plan competition and 25 teams in poster making competition, 16 teams in Digital Campaign and 15 teams in retail outlet strategy presentation.

    Second day of the event witnessed more than 15 companies including Dabur, Parle, Himalaya, Oxford Publication, Live Pure, Royal Enfield, Bisleri, Royal India Vacation, Punjab National Bank and many more representing their new product launches in a retail exhibition.

    Third day, the conclave was started with presence and motivational speech of Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman of I.T.S The Education Group and the address of industry experts including Mr Amit Doshi, COO , DNA (Dainik Bhaskar Group), Ahmedabad and Mr Nitish Kumar Rai, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King. Mr Amit Doshi emphasized on the importance of customers and colleagues in business by sharing few very interesting business stories. Mr Nitish Kumar Rai discussed the importance of a well crafted advertising campaign and highlighted how it can be leveraged by the use of digital technology. He shared promotional campaign of Coca Cola, KFC, HUL and many more to illustrate modern digital marketing practices.

    The first forum interaction was on the theme “Digitalization vs Traditional Marketing Practices”. Mr. Kishore Chakraborty, Sr. VP McCann Ericsson was the moderator for the session. Mr. Vinayak Lal, GM, DS Group, Mr. Amit Sahani, Regional Sales Head – Bagrrys, Mr. Kalyan Kumar, Director - Infuse Media & Mr. Aditya Kayastha, Group. Brand Head – Dabur were the other panel members. The debate started with digital vs traditional marketing practices came to an end with the understanding that both the practices complement each other and a smart marketer leverage the marriage of digital and traditional practices to build on.

    The second forum interaction was on the theme “Rural vs Urban marketing landscape: A Question of Sustainability”. Prof C K Sabharwal was the moderator for the session. Mr. Mohan Krishnan, Sr. V P, IMRB, Mr. Vivek Malhotra, Sr. VP, Idea Cellular, Dr Ravindra Singh, GM, Chambal Fertilizers, and Mr. Anirban Chaudhuri, Director,Fobulka were the panelist. The entire discussion was woven around how mapping the rural consumer is going to be the key concern area for the organizations of today. How MNCs are trying to leverage the rural potential for their growth and survival.

    At the end during valedictory session participants who secured first, second and third positions in various competitive events were awarded with Winner, First runner up and second runner up trophies and certificates. The convener of the conclave Dr V N Bajpai proposed vote of thanks.

    The first CEO Meet, probably the first in any Academic Institute, was held on Saturday, 17th October, 2015 at the institute by Department of IT.
    The event was formally inaugurated with the Lamp Lightening before Goddess Saraswati by the Guests including Dr. M.M. Pant - Former Pro Vice Chancellor – IGNOU and Founder Chairman – Planet EDU), Sri. Pankaj Dubey - Managing Director, Polaris, Sri. Deepak Bhatia – Former COO, Infosys BPO, Sri. Anurag Gour – Director (Marketing), Microsoft India, Vice Chairman – I.T.S The Education Group, Sri. Arpit Chadha and Convener of CEO Meet & Director (IT) of the institute Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey.
    In the beginning, Sri. Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group welcomed the guests and said that presently with the developments, fast changing nature of IT applications and the researches, it is the need of the hour that Academia and Industry joins hand together to work closely for mutual existence, sustainability and growth.
    Earlier, the Director (IT), Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey presented a brief of this CEO Meet and spoke about the objectives and need of the event I.T.S CEO Meet.

    Speaking as the first Speaker of the first session on the theme “Indian IT Industry: Future Ahead” renowned academician, researcher and established scientist, Dr. M.M. Pant said that organizing an event like this is certainly an opportunity to connect the present CEOs with the future CEO. Dr. Pant emphasized on the fact that presently wealth is created through knowledge and then wealth is re-invested to produce new knowledge and then to understand how new knowledge can be used and applied for generating wealth and the cycle continues. There is a need to create the opportunity which comes out of some existing challenge and find out the solution for the same. This cycle keeps continue to consistent efforts to identifying challenges and working on finding out the solution which will continue to change regularly and thus we cannot afford to be on ease once we develop solution for any identified problem as tomorrow somebody else may come up with better solution and challenge is to keep solution optimal, convenient & easy to use.
    Sri. Pankaj Dubey, The Managing Director – Polaris spoke about the applications of Information Technology tools and services in improving the business processes and functions, in specific context of Automobile Industry. Sri. Dubey talked about the usage and applications of GPS Systems in Automobile sector.
    Sri. Deepak Bhatia, former COO – Infosys BPO and Vice President – HCL Technologies, spoke on applications of Healthcare Education. Sri. Bhatia in his address spoke about Innovations, Sustainability and Impact (concept of ISI). He said that there is a need for Innovations and then continue to innovate to sustain and assess consistently the Impact of Technology as it will ensure the sustainability.
    Sri. Anurag Gour in his address, said that the ways world is changing, it has transformed the world in a Networked environment. Now the technologies, which are coming up are contributing in making the connectivity and communication efficient. In present context, the challenge is to ensure that, as an organization, you always have the best efficient application with you otherwise you will lagged behind and very soon you may be out of lap. Thus the focus of the Industry is towards making efficient applications, easy to use and convenient for the users without compromising with the quality.
    On this occasion, a Souvenir printed on the occasion of this CEO Meet was also released by the eminent guests present on this occasion. The Souvenir comprised of messages from Honorable Home Minister Shri. Rajnath Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charges) for Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India, Padma Bhushan (Dr.) & Founder CEO, Former Dy.     In the second session of the event was kept on the theme “Technology Roadmap for Inclusive Growth”. In this session following speakers addressed the gathering:

    He talked about the directions in which County is heading and how the technology can help in meeting the aspirations of people. He emphasized about on the need of innovation which can ensure the reach of technology and its benefits to the common man.
    2. Sri. Sridhar S, Strategic Advisor – SMAK and Inventors India Research Foundation, Bangalore
    Former Director – Asia Pacific and Japan, Dell
    Mr. Sridhar, in his address spoke about the eco-business system. The intent of the session was to point out what potentially will happen in future and the areas where one should focus.
    3. Sri. Rajesh Rampal, CIO, Aircel
    Mr. Rampal spoke on the expansion of Telecom infrastructure in the country and how this infrastructure can be leveraged to extend the benefits of technology and its advantages to the large segment of the society.
    4. Dr. Debbrata Nayak, CSO, Huwaei Telecom
    Dr. Nayak specifically talked about the security issues present in current networked environment and the ways it can be countered.
    The third session of the CEO Meet was kept on the Theme - Integration of Technology with Digital India Mission”. Following guests shared their vision, thoughts and views in this session:

    The Seminar proceedings began at 11.00am with Prof Shikha introducing and inviting the ITS group Vice Chairman Shri Arpit Chadha, Chief Guest Mr.G.P.Rao, Management Advisor & Motivational Speaker, Founder, GPHR Consulting, Key Note Speaker Dr.Kavita Singh, Professor-OB, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi University(DU), Dr.Sapna Rakesh (Director-Management, Dr.Anita Mathew, Professor – OB/HR &Convenor- HR Seminar for the lighting of lamp and floral welcome to the Resource Speakers of the session.

    The inaugural session opened with Dr.Sapna Rakesh’s address on the 11th edition of National Seminar of HR at ITS, Ghaziabad. She talked about organizations being about people and technology and the how organizations are innovating to be connected with the youth of today followed by Dr.Anita Mathew’s highlight on the theme of the seminar. She talked about the changing mindset of millennials with entrepreneurial orientation, setting an era of innovations that has disrupted the established market leaders. Essentially the theme of the Seminar was to address and prepare the young minds for a changed organizational scenario.

    The dias was handed over to Dr.Kavita Singh for her keynote address and she talked about the shift from command and control to consultation and participation era in organizations. She also build around the concept of Disruptive Innovation with examples of organization in the lead. LEAPS model and psychology of disruptive innovation through S shaped curve wasefficiently explained by her while mentioning about associated mindest, behaviour, uncertainity, inevitable future and the human capital competencies required for disruptive innovation.

    Mr.G.P.Rao in his address mentioned various ways to unleash human capital. Some of them were finding the potential in self, vision, doing a SWOT, having a strategic mindset with inclusive orientation and business acumen. Also emphasized on developing faith and practicing ethical values. He also talked about what organizations could do to develop human capital of the organization like providing an enabling climate, being flexible, encouraging risk and experimentation among employees and designing supportive policies.

    The Second session at 1400hrs was a Panel Discussion on “Career vs Compensation-Perspectives of Millenials and the student anchors were Ms.RenuAdhikari (PGDM14-16)and Mr.AnimeshSaraswat (PGDM-15-17). The Panelists were Mr.RajnishJhulka, Founder-Thought @ Work, Mr.Indranil Gupta, CEO & Director- Meritt Consultants, Mr.ManmohanBhutani, Head-HR & VP-Business Operations, American Cyber Systems (ACS) Inc. and Mr.Kaushik Chakraborty, Director-HR, Business Partner, Head-L&D, Jones Lang LaSalle. The session witnessed a research presentation on a global research study on millennials and what they expect from their respective organizations. The key points that came out of the discussion were issues like the integration of generation gap that existed among Baby boomers, GenX and GenY, millennials affable nature towards technology, transparency and openness, leadership, work life balance, shift from compensation to total rewards and life-long learning. Three important competencies on behavioural, technical and business related skills were identified as important factor for millennials. The need to face VUCA was also discussed and the session was facilitated by Mr. RajnishJhulka.

    The third session at 1630 hrs was a Panel Discussion on “ Changing Paradigm of Recruitment” and the session anchors were Ms. Nishtha Tiwari (PGDM 14-16) and Mr.Khushpreet Singh (PGDM 15-17). The panel members were Ms. Wilma Dadel Gupta, Director & Principal Consultant, Qwest HR ServicesMr.Yuvraj Bhatnagar, Global Leader (AVP) – Talent Acquisition, Evalueserve, Mr.ArunavBannerjee, President and Chief Researcher,Mr.Prateek Dubey, Head-HR, Coca Cola and Mr.Murleedhar Sharma, Director-HR, RJ Corp. The session highlights included discussion on the shift from traditional to web based hiring. The format of interviews and some of the commonly used platforms for search by recruiters and thereby the students’ imperative to be present and allied to latest technology to make the best use of medium was discussed at length. An activity of mock interview session with frequently asked questions through an activity titled “HOT SEAT” was effected to sensitize the students on the veracity with which they should prepare and present themselves in front of recruiters. The session was moderated by Mr.ArunavBannerjee.
